Oh I had a feeling something like this happened. I think Voldie knew that this was the only way out....I think thats what the arithmancy equation was all about. He needed to hurt Hermione enough that she would "kill" him. But i'm going to go out on a limb and guess that she didn't actually kill him. I think that Draco is actually Voldemort and Hermione is going to figure it out pretty quick! I love this story!!!

Grrr... I had this all typed and forgot to copy... you can guess the rest, can't you? YES! It vanished when I pressed submit. GRRR!

Anyway... trying to remember some of what I wrote.

First... why do I get the feeling he's not dead? *sniggers* Because of who is writing the story? LOL

So, the beating and his off demeanour during (according to Hermione), well, that's explained now if we take under account he planned to "die". He made sure she looked like a "proper" victim to the Order and co. So, Hermione using Avada on him had to be a part of his multiple variables chart (explains why he wanted her to kill her parents).

And I am wondering if that was Draco in the hospital; he was so OOC that I am guessing some polyjuiced person came to check on how his plotting was working out, and well, he has to watch out for HIS woman, doesn't he? *sniggers*

Still, him having her kill her parents ... well, that is going to bite him in the arse even if he needed it to make her assist to kill him. How is that possibly not going to be a block to their future relationship? I was surprised she didn't even mention their deaths to Harry. It would've helped with her "I don't want to talk about things" and "I am too traumatised", which she clearly is.

I'd watch out with using Stockholm Syndrom as an excuse for her demeanour though. That term became popular use after an incident that was later deemed to be the exception to the rule. I don't think you have the right circumstances present for it to apply for your story here. Serious conditioning, yes. Stockholm Syndrom, hell no.

Well, crap, I worded it all better the first time around. But I suppose this has to do, now. T_T

Best of luck with your masters and I hope your mom feels better soon.

Glad you enabled anonymous reviews - I always forget my login for this site. lol.

Just wanted to congratulate you on this story. I think you portrayed all the characters very well. Hermione's OOC is totally plausible - poor girl has been isolated in a cage forever. So no concerns much. You made it very realistic how she would have those occasional attacks of concsious. That made her more Hermione-ish without making it so that she was unaffected by her experience. She was twisted and warped - expertly manipulatetd.

Her parents were definitely the breaking point - I think that worked out well. He killed his father and grandparents and has absolutely no morals; this was just another test for him. He didn't realize that he sealed his own fate with that action. At this point, I have to admit that I was looking forward to his death. I suspected he would die because frankly he isn't changing so I couldn't imagine any other ending. He was an awful evil thing - even if he's fascinating. It would have been horrible for Hermione to be in an endless cycle of no freedom and frequent punishments. If she never disobeys - well that's just gross and uninteresting. So there really didn't seem to be much alternative for another ending. Of course, this Hermione is so...different and warped now that she only feels regret, so I'm curious about what you are going to do with her.

Congratulations on the scene with Draco. I think you did a beyond excellent job there. That was essential Hermione in play. Draco's parting words were...intriguing.

The end doesn't appear too far away, and it seems like you may have some surprises waiting for us. Look forward to reading more.

    *POSTING THIS REVIEW FOR GEOFEO!*

Hi, since Geofeo (from grangerenchanted) doesn't have an account here and you don't allow anon reviews, I told her I'd post her reviews for her. Enjoy. xx Nerys. (PS mine is pending. I am just swamped now)

    Geofeo's review:

    "The story is amazing.
I think Hermione has Stockholm Syndrome. The story is one which is completely likely to happen if we put aside the last books. I never understood the mistakes Voldemort made in the books they are not like him or at least the person I see him to be. You write him brilliantly. He is in character.
To me the best part of the story is the psychological and emotional part.

    Chapter 10:

I like that even Voldemort has a hidden side to him. I like that he is capable feeling grief for Nagini. Most just assume he has no feelings at all. But that can

Sad to say that I am as bad as Hermione where LV is concerned. This chapter has had me on the verge of tears throughout. Maybe it is the knowledge that the "light" is often colored in dark in the name of a cause. I wish that LV could become that "brilliant person" that Hermione imagined him to be and that they could go someplace away from there and begin again. How can Hermione reconcile books being banned to the point of prison and how is that different from living under a dictator. Who knows, maybe knowing Hermione and being loved for probably the first time in his life will cause him to change his mind on muggles and muggleborn. Maybe really stringent testing (of all) before they are admitted into the wizarding world? It would still take generations of purebloods to get over themselves, but maybe strong leadership could direct them. Kind of like the civil war, huh? Finally, you know that if you kill LV, you are going to have to kill HG also as she will be just as displaced as he would be. p

Growing impatient? Good grief, if I was sentenced to listen to her prattle all of the time, I would smack her too. She must really be a prize for him to put up with so much crap. I suspect he wants to use her for things that have to do with Potter and the others from the Order to show that he had won that battle, as no one would expect her to turn to the dark side. I bet Snape did if his constant complaining about her mouth was any judge. And what an opportunity to get rid of LB! The way she felt about her should have given her any number of thoughts that LV would have loved. Looking forward to the next chapter. p

I finally recalled which fic this reminded me of: Assasin, a one shot by Sionnain. And it wasn't because of the cage thing as I first thought after all (because she was merely chained to his chair during the meetings). No, this fic reminded me of her one shot because of the silence, the enduring of having to see others get tortured and just being a witness.

Oh, Lord Voldemort can never get too much attention. I do wonder if he is tricking Hermione with Snape's death, just as a sort of test. He does love his machinations within machinations. I am loving your update schedule; I know it must be hard to keep up this pace. Please update this fic soon, pretty please!
