oh my freakin' gosh... testing him my foot. Harry knew not to trust Dumbledore and if Dumbledore HAD managed to take over control of Harry... 'oh hey, just testing out if you are ready for Voldemort... here's your mind back... oh wait I succeeded so I guess that means you're not ready... I'll just keep your mind to myself since I know best." Crazy old coot. I also did not see that coming. Good job surprising me :)

    about #61...

For a second I thought we were going to have a serious duel at the end, either with Harry
and Dumbledummy OR better yet Severus and Dumbledumbass.

Is it possible Dash can step in and speak to Dumbledork thru Harry?

Sorry, I meant in my last review that Harry probably would have killed himself. However, as much as I've yelled at Harry while reading this to stop being such a gullible dunderhead, I really like how you've written that Harry is slowly breaking away from the role that Dumbledipshit had written out for Harry to play, and to me that starting with placing the boy with his muggle relatives. And all the better to manipulate Harry even more than using his immature godfather against him. Too bad he didn't see Harry bonding with a basilisk whom would protect Harry when he had none, open up the boy's mind, becoming friends with Draco, and finally Snape coming to care for Harry so much he wants him as a son. Also, random question, but has something been done about Blaise trying to kill Dash? Are you coming back to that? I recall someone sending him some note about dealing with Dash. Or maybe I just need to go back and reread from chapter one. Oh, like I need an excuse with your stories.

Quidditch scene: Severus was already acting like a Parent, whether he realized it or not. On the story
Pomegranate Seeds, the idea of Harry & Draco learning to become Hit wizards is appealing and something
you haven't done yet. It would be interesting to see a twist tho', of how the both of them have to overcome
reservations of taking life, to get the job done, because what they thought and the reality is different.

I am so, so glad Snape is now Harry's guardian. All this pressure on the boy... By those he should have been able to trust, the wizard public that flip-flops between a shallow support for Harry and turning their backs on him, even Harry himself. I doubt he would have lived long enough to face Moldyshorts.

Reading this makes me wonder how come you haven't done a Severitus story
in a while. I liked this chapter, it was heartfelt & thought out well.

Looking forward to the day Harry suddenly calls Severus 'dad'.

I am just thinking now like.. oh right.. a large house.. can you imagine if Dash was as large as the one in the chamber of secrets and had to stay in a 'modest' house? XD

I can understand that Harry needs to think about what he wants and to be honest about it. Severus allows that time and honesty no matter his own opinions. Already ding a great job as guardian. Will they discuss what to do about the tournament? So excited to see more Draco!!!! Love it, kudos.

It's nice to see Harry wanting some things for himself and actually able to articulate them to an adult. I think this chapter did a great job of showing how Harry distrusts adults and authority figures but still really wants to be able to trust someone. It's also really good that the pacing is so realistic because something like this would take time and need to build. I thought it was really sweet how Draco's letter just assumed that Harry was now in the role of 'son' to Severus because without that being pointed out as a possibility I don't think it would have ever occurred to Harry to think that way or even the possibility of that. Awesome chapter I really liked it :)

That sounds like the Harry we all know and love! Angst-ridden, but accurate. Excellent update!

Oh the tears that fell, from Harry and I. Such a beautifully written chapter. Glad to see Harry at least partially accepting Snape's affection and intentions that he live. Thanks

That ending....The FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELS! I know that as much as Harry loves Black and would have wished for nothing in the world for Black to be the Father figure he needs, I'm glad he was willing to hear Snape explain himself as to why he did what he did. I'm also glad you had Harry take a moment to step back and exam other peoples' actions to finally get some truth in his life even if it isn't nice. I can't believe Black would rather let Harry die than let Snape save his life. And Harry having a bond with Dash and being friends with Draco and Snape, even acting Slytherin sometimes was like some kind of illness. What a horrible man. But this is also the same man who allowed his werewolf lover to live in the same house as Harry without making sure Harry was safe should anything ever happen or go wrong. And we all saw how well that went! Harry now has a Father figure who will and has put Harry before himself. Best Christmas present ever, Harry!

Snape offered something brilliant which, regardless of angering Harry due to keeping a secret, helped him realize Sirius was not the one suited to take care of him. I want Harry to keep embracing his slytherin side. I love that he announced that he like Draco here. I hope that means that we will be seeing their relationship begin to bloom. I wonder what will happen with the tournament stuff now. kudos. can't wait for more.

I feel so bad for Harry. Sirius has an image of Harry in his mind and just doesn't really see Harry as who he is... that dialogue went perfectly showing how everyone was thinking and reacting. I'm glad Severus was there to comfort Harry because it's really hard to give up on something you wanted to believe so badly but realize that it was never what you thought it was and will never be what you hoped.
