Oh well, the website just discarded my review somehow and I suddenly wound up with another blank window...Anyhow, interesting story. Now you've made your way to professional psychology. Impressive. Personally, I don't know too much about the specifics there - just school stuff like basic communication (Watzlawick, Schulz von Thun), memory, learning, Pavlov (well, who doesn't), some Freudian development and personality analysis...oh and we also had some diseases like schizophrenia, Altzheimers and depression. I distinctly remember our teacher saying one lesson "Well, now the stress is over, here comes depression" - that kept everyones smile on through the A levels. Well, in daily life I usually go on instinct. That's another reason I love to read stories (as opposed to scientific writings, it turns out): You read and learn something new with each and every tale and it is comparatively effortless. OK, I've also wanted to read the Count of Monte Christo in French forever and that's not going quite so well...nevermind.
When I first read the summary, I thought you'd gone non magical for this story, but after the first chapters that makes more sense. Also, I can hardly wait for all the battles of wit and intellect to come. Admittedly, first we'll have to establish some form of real communication - and some borders. Not so surprising. I do hope, you'll make this one a longer fic, there certainly is the potential. Alas, I will just have to wait and see :)
Thank you, as ever, for another promising beginning of a new tale.(And I've just seen, I'm rambling again)
    Have a nice week!

Yay! Another story! The Quickening was one of the very first stories I read on this site, and I muddled my way through figuring out how to manage my Rec. Authors section just to make sure I'd always be able to find you and what you write.

Oh yea! (Clapping hands excitedly) A new story!!!! You just made my day!
So let me get this straight...she's a sex therapist? And he needs her help? That is awesome! This is going to be EPIC!!
I love George. Laughter is the best medicine.
A few things....and I'm not really one to point these things out, I'm more like a cheerleader type reviewer. But here goes...'chequered'? Shouldn't that be checkered? And 'abeyance' ...doesn't that mean temporary disuse or a suspension? Shouldn't that be absence? Cause he's just was not there not that he was frozen or something...just a thought.
You know I absolutely love your work and a few words isn't going to turn me away. Hell you could write in pig Latin and I'd still read it anyway. I look forward to reading your stories like a druggie waiting for their next hit. Whoa that's a bit much...but nope that pretty much describes it. Your my dealer. Hahaha.
    Oh I crack myself up!
    Until next time....
