Very impressed with Lucius's explanation of why he became deatheater and being absolutely unapologetic about it. Always figured Lucius for a pragmatist rather that a fanatic.

I too have saved this fic, it's the only one I have saved, because it may be the best Lucius fanfic I've read.

Looking forward to the next chapter with much anticipation.

This is one of my favorite Lucius/Hermione stories ever. I've read a number of them and this one is definitely in my Top 10. I've even taken the liberty of printing it up to read whenever I don't have access to a computer. Your words are excellent and the plot is exquisite. I like how Lucius' heart softens towards Hermione and how she, in turn, softens towards him. Keep up this masterpiece.

"Yes, you are safe with me."

GAH! As if Hermione should need any further encouragement after that. I'm glad that Lucius is still being Lucius. How can you not love the guy? Even after his admissions to Hermione, he's still retaining those qualities that would keep most people on their toes anytime they're around him (except for Hermione, methinks). Makes him all the more doable...LOVABLE, I meant lovable!

    Nah, I meant doable...

    Cheers!

This is fabulous! You did a great job interpreting Lucius's motives. I love the fact that you didn't make him feel guilty and repentant. Wow, I just can't say enough about how much I love this.

Sorry about that, I hit the wrong button:)
    I loved this part:
"...True, I would not ask you to bare my children." His lips curved briefly into a smile."But that is not a fate I would wish on anyone.Nor can I offer you my name at this point." Again the corner of his mouth twitched.
I think Lucius is obviously thinking something that he is not saying here. Earlier, he did say he wanted her with him permanently.
I can't wait for more of the story. Please update soon:)

Lucius is a bit OOC at this point, but it fits perfectly in the story right now. Great Chapttherthere seems to be a lot of little hints. I love this part:

I don't read many het fics, but I'm still enjoying this one immensely. I agree with the others on here who have said that Lucius is still very true to form. I just think the emotions and thoughts he's only beginning to tap into have always been a part of him, even on the inactive level they've existed on before Hermione came to the Manor. He's just never been permitted to express them before now ("Malfoys do not touch") and because of Hermione, we're just seeing another side to a man that I've always perceived as being very complex.

On an entirely unrelated note, I hope those...er...implements are polished, because I'm awaiting the trip to Lucius' dungeons with bated breath (and somehow, I don't think I'm alone here)! If our favourite Slytherin's past behaviour is anything to go by, Hermione will never know what hit her :D.

    Cheers!

i have to admit, i've been just overlooking your story untill now, because HG/LM pairing didn't seem to appeal to me.
but after the book burning i just read your story again from the beginning, and i have to say I'm absolutely fascinated
by this story. would'nt have thought it after i knew the pairing. i love your lucius. you start with the lucius we all know,
and gradually change it slightly to the person who might fit our heroine. absolutely great!
    hope you update soon.
    bye,
