Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!!! Sometimes tact isn't the best method & Poppy should have been a little more forceful in explaining why her making a choice quickly was so important, bad Poppy!!! I really LOVE Severus, so firm & forceful, what a man!!! I can only hope that he will bring Hermione into his life & heart on a different level soon, she needs him more than ever now!!! Can't wait for chapter 20!!! Deb >^..^

    Interesting. Very interesting.

A thought on the problem of the Incredible Delocalized Ron Weasley -- Chapter 1, being Snape's POV, just refers to him as "Weasley." It would be a very quick edit to go back and fill in "Fred" or "Charlie" or whatever, so that Ron is at Hogwarts but his brothers are on the battlefield.

Your take on the desire, post-trauma, to be treated "the same as before," is a good one. It's actually one of the reasons that many rape survivors don't tell, or don't tell those near and dear to them. They have too much to deal with already, and having to deal with other people's reactions can just be impossible.

Based on the bits of Hermione POV we've seen thus far -- is she actually aware that she's pregnant? The bit about her balance being off when she got out of bed in the infirmary, and her thoughts about there being scars from the torture but no visible sign of the rape, made me wonder. Granted, we haven't had much of her POV, but in what we have seen she doesn't appear to think about it, even in the "I don't want to think about that now" sense. (After all, being 3 or 4 months pregnant would change her center of balance a little, and a visible sign wouldn't be that far off -- but those things don't seem to occur to her. Is she in that much denial?)

Oh Dear..Now 'Mione is suffering from a serious case of foot-in-mouth disease...very interesting *LOL*

Can this girl ever get it together?..And more importantly...when is there going to be some serious Sev and Herms shagging?

Maybe a little insensitve of me considering what she has been through..and I would't want to undermine your storyline integrity...maybe anther offering of "witches" will provide much sorter ter "stress relief"...(I am currently praying to any number of Gods I don't believe in that this will be the case)..

    Anyway...I have rambled enough...

    Love your work..

    much admiration as always

I really am enjoying this story!!! After reading this, I can't wait for chapter 19!!! I have a feeling that this research project may have some influence on her choice. I am also looking forward to seeing how Severus responds to her "Who's the idiot" question;-) Deb >^..^

Don't you love it when the characters decide to run off on their merry littlys, ys, completely ignoring your happy little outline. It happens to me with distressing regularity.

Yay Hermione! Go girl, give Madame Pomfrey what for! I think I screamed at everyone for about a weekat one of the worst points in my life. On the other hand, looking back they deserved it. :)

YEs, I do belive it would have been a bit better if those were put into the story. Personaly I think it would have made it more suspencefull. A good way to settle the muses is to write the chapters in a word prossesor first then go and try to buil up the plot to the points you've already written. I know how you feel, sometimes I start writing and then my mind jumps 3 or 4 chapters ahead of where I am and I can't finish what I'm writing because the other ideas keep invading my mind -_-"...Anyways, It's a very good story and I like it alot. Keep it up hun!

You know,I really look foreward to this story being updated. The research project is very interesting. I wonder what Harry is up to right now. we don't see much of him. And I wonder if Hermione is dealing with the reality of what happened to her and the reality f approaching motherhood. Will this affect the dispersal of the Malfoy fortune? Alot of wealthy families do take into account postumus and/or illegitimate children. Does the wizarding world make a distinction between legitimate and illigitamate children? After all, I don't think paternity can be hidden? I await your next update with bated breath.

Porr poor Severus, my heart aches for the man. He just isn't at all prepared to be an Agony Aunt, is You You'd think that years of spying would give him insights into people's motivation, but he can really be thick as a brick. Maybe he only understands people when they are trying to kill him?

You are quite correct about people's reactions. I have lost quite a number of family members and funerals are the most awkward affairs. Everyone stands around reciting Hallmark Card sentiments and looking uncomfortable. I sat at my Father's wake with my best frined talking about how much I loved him and retelling all the horrible jokes he used to tell me. Everyone thought it was ghoulish, but I didn't want to be pitied or cosseted. The same kinds of things happen whenever something happens that is "terrible" or outside of people's comfort zone. It's like f anf and pain are contagious.

I am so glad for this chapter...it seems like forever since the last update, or is it just me?
It was well worth the wait in any event...I can only hope that the muse kicks back with a vengeance and we get the priviledge or reading more sooner than later...

No pressure of course...You know that I would never do that....

Oh shut your scoffing at me.. I am not THAT impatient...quit laughing at me....
