I don't squee, generally, but squeeeeee. Brightened my day, that did. The balance between nerves and feeling comfortable with the other person seems exactly right. Best line: "he was prepared to sacrifice the sole right to choose wine if it brought with it a loosening of morals and the prospect of pre-marital sex" and its afterthought.

Chapter 11... What a WONDERFUL 2nd date, can't wait for their third!!! Considering how nervous they both were, I really like how comfortable they are with each other!!! Very much looking forward to chapter 12 & seeing what Minerva & Sprout have to say!!! Til then, Deb >^..^

"And of course he was in favour of equal rights for witches too."

Glorious, even if that is too close to too many prevailing attitudes in my immediate vicinity.

Love the continued light tone with promises of smut on the horizon. You do this so well it's almost embarrassing to keep telling you how great you are but at the risk that you like hearing it -- You do this so freakin' well it scares mortal man!!!

That was such a sweet date. Although, I can't help but fear that there is an imminent explosion somewhere in the near future. Minerva and Filch doesn't squick me. My brain tells me it should...but it just doesn't. And that is so very wrong.

Great story so far. I'm hooked on SS/HG. Instead of focussing on describing each date they have before they can have sex without Hermione being a slut (of course, noone thinks the guy's a slut for sleeping with someone on the first date - but I won't go there - grin), maybe you can make their dating a span of say maybe two or three months and just allude to multiple dates in between. Then you only have to describe a few, but it looks like they've been dating a while.

    Keep up the good work.

Chapt9 & 9 & 10... I am realljoyijoying this story & can't wait to see who will be the ideal match for Ginny!!!

I LOVE that Minerva & Sprout were there to aid Severus in preparing for his date!!! Still waiting to see if Minerva will give Filch a tumble;-)

I am glad that spending time with Severuse Hee Hermione so ha!! !! As much as it affected her, I see them sleeping together very quickly, not to mention the fact that they both NEED IT!!!

Can't wait for more, Deb >^..^

Reading Severus' butterflies before Hermione's rushing about works fine, to me, esp. given Ginny's spotting of relative nerves. If we had Hermione's preparation first, Severus would seem even more unsure....

Not to sound too corny, but this is the sweetest thing you have written. The way they are all twittery and nervous is endearing. And romantic.
I liked how Hermione reacted to the "bat" plant. She got the joke.
Can't wait for the date. (Did the lunch count as the 1st date?)
    Cheers!

I had started to read this when you first started writing it and couldn't get into it. Well it is snowing here today (unusual -NCarolina) so I was looking at stories that I have been putting off. Knowing that you had written it, I should have KNOWN to read more earlier and decided to do just that. I love it! You really have a way of letting the reader know what the characters are feeling and this story line has turned absolutly precious. Keep it up....I want MORE!!!!

Gads, how do you do it?

From Hermione's "I am an Arithmancy genius" mantra to Ginny ("...parked her in front of a big book full of lots of long words and left her alone until an hour before the date, whilst she went and had a very large cup of soothing tea, and a substantial piece of chocolate cake.")

BRILLIANT! Exactly how dating always feels when I help my friends, even when the couple are hopelessly suited and besotted.

Given that the couple have known each other for ever so long, I would have thought the three-date minimum anti-slapper restriction might have been lifted. Just my (hopefully lecherous) thought.

If Hermione is this bad before sex what does Ginny think she'll be like afterwards? More sedate I think not.

And what does this particular flower mean? Found a picture of it and it is amazing.

Three sounds good. No sense in making a huge show of propriety.

Swirling his robes? Reminds me of women swirling their skirts, but very appropriate for him.

I don't think that that "flashback" technique was at all awkward, don't worry. On the contrary, I think it was well handled - and definitely ups the tension for us, to match theirs. Well done - however aggravated I may feel! ;)

Ginny called in Neville? Ooh, can we have Ginny/Neville lemons? I like Ginny/Neville lemons ... Neville is seriously undervalued ...
