Another excellent chapter. I do adore slightly law breaking Hermione. Seems to be a natural progression from her Hogwarts days. As to the non-slapper options-they have known each other for a while. So she does have a bit of a leg up (no pun intended) I would say that counting the lunch date and the current date, at least one more if not two. After all, she was a bit quick to accept the offer for this one-I cannot see her jumping into it too quickly; a stratagem that would if nothing else, keep Severus's devious tendencies (perhaps I should call them his entertaining tendencies?) to the fore.

Hmm, that's a good point... When is the best time for them to do the deed. I say give them 4 weeks story time. That will give them time to talk. Time to spend a day or two doing romantic or semi-romantic things. They can talk more get to know each other and by the time they get to that 4th week the sexual tension should be nice and thick! YUM YUM! Lemon pie! My favorite!

Third date sounds reasonable for Hermione; much longer and it might contradict her eminently businesslike attitude (she's never wrong, after all). Third leaves room for a bit more confusion on Severus' part as well, since it seems he'll need time reassuring those internal butterflies too. Not all men feel comfortable with sex on the first or second date, even if the man knew the prospective partner before date #1. *whistles innocently*
I loved Severus' comparison of "listening to a woman" with hearing Lucius drone on. Assumptions, assumptions....

3 rd sounds fine, if there is a falling in love theme w/ it. if not go more w/ the 5th or 6th

    *sniggers*

    Get on with it, woman!

Yes, third date's probably about right - but then, it depends so much on how things go ... and whether you count the first lunch as a date or not - I can't really advise, much as I occasionally channel Hermione, I've never done the dating thing.

It's going to be when she feels right about it, and that's flat.

But - I think that this Hermione is going to recognise Severus' nerves and try to be soothing to them to the best of her ability. I think ....

Shiv, you are going beyond my vernacular. Is a slapper the same as a slap and tickle? I am just a meek American matron and I know not of English slang. I just try to fake it.
Yes, Hermione seems the type to wait til the 3rd date for sex. Some heavy groping would probably be acceptable on the 2nd date. I chaste kiss on the 1st.

Personally I can't wait til the 3rd date. (Grins)

*still giggling* I really like Severus getting dating advice from Minerva and Pomona - a pair who seem to have their acid wit permanently set to kill on sight. ;-) The characterisation stays true with just enough of a twist to keep it more than interesting.

As for the whole date issue, third date seems good timing.

Good question. How many dates would it take to put the obsidian eyed git at the end of his rope?

Cheap little slapper? I have never heard that one before, obviously I am behind in my Brit Slang. You had me gigling too, though the image of the Severus/Argus/Minerva three-some may scar me for life.
