Do squibs have house colors? Otherwise, I like the jigsaw metaphor very much; Severus is perhaps a wee bit quickly convinced to shelve his fears, but the metaphor's quite compelling. Good job not having Hermione change Severus' manner of dress, too.

Beautiful chapter, Shiv, (referring to chap 19). Very clever, very amusing, and rather touching.

"And he was lly lly sod for even doubting that Hermione and he would be happy. "

He beinbeing rather silly, wasn't he? Or are those words just inviting trouble? Adorable chapter!

Chapter 19... I'm glad to see that Hermione & Severus survived their shopping excursion with Argus!!! I LOVE the way you had Hermione explain the puzzle theory to Severus, very nice touch!!! I'm also glad that she made sure that he knows he belongs to her!!! Looking forward to chapter 20, Deb >^..^

Shiv! Where you been? No postings for three days, I was getting a bit twitchy. Deary me, Sev needs a good slap doesn't he? Perhaps Hermione should sneak up to Hogwarts mid week and give him a top up. It's bit like re-conditioning an old battery, poor old sod can't hold a charge for very long. Glad to see Min has him under her wing and glad to hear all will be well with Filch. I was beginning to worry.

Poor Severus has the jitters, that daft sod!

I found it very amusing when Minerva "sealed her fate" for the sake of them. I'm gratified to hear that her and Filch's date will be a success and can't help but anticipate her jitters in the aftermath.

Needless to say, brilliant chapter as always!

Chapter 18... This really was a sweet chapter!!! I think Minerva hit the target, Severus is just not used to being happy!!! I hope that when he sees Hermione again he will realize that it was him missing her that was bothering him!!! I'm glad that he has Minerva to help him understand things of this nature!!!

Looking forward to the date between Minerva & Argus as well as seeing Severus & Hermione getting together again!!! Til chapter 19, Deb >^..^

How ever you do it is beyond me, wrapping up funny, warm and touching in one lovely chapter (you couldn't write duff with two hands, one foot and half your brain tied behind your back, btw). The realization that Severus' misery was due in no small part to the sharp contrast of a weekend of happiness is just so bittersweet.... sniff.

Here's to happy endings all around, even if my mind does catch just a bit at Argus' obvious reluctant to take advantage of the school's dental plan.

OH thank goodness, becausgottgotta say I am seriously nervous for poor old Argus! I know he's a smelly, ugly sort of guy, but hey if Severus can land a babe like Hermione then there is hope for good ole Filch! Right?...

I love this story. Actually I love all of your stories. But for some reason I found the opening paragraphs a little jarring -- I had trouble with the transition from the prior chapter. I had to read the beginning of this several times to figure out exactly what Severus was feeling and why.

I think the problem was that I took the line "breakfast was painful" as referring to Hermione. The sentence comes just after you discuss Severus HermHermione talking. So I thought the breakfast occured over the weekend and didn't realize you had reverted to the present.

But's that is one little quibble about what I consider to be a really great work.

I certainly do hope that Minerva's date will be a success! As much time and trouble as she has generously given to help out Snape and Hermione, the woman has earned a good time and happiness for herself.

*grieves for sad Snape* Bless his heart.

I think you are just an outstanding writer and you do humor very well. I look forward to all your updates.

I thought I would mention that I think one of the sexiest scenes I have ever read is the one in "Is that a hint of lemon?". I'm referring to the section 'And then it seemed the most natural thing [...] and he came to an overwhelming, shuddering stop.'
My mind just runs wild with this scene and fills in all sorts of romantic/sexy details. Have you ever seen "Gone With the Wind" where Rhett carries Scarlet up the stairs and you just start picturing what is going to happen? I have the same reaction to this scene. Plus I think it's extremely well written and just draws you into the story.
ur lur lemons are great too, and I hope you never drop them. I just wanted to mention this scene because it's a little bit of a change of pace and makes the buildup to the next chapter that much better.

Please keep the updates on your stories coming.
