I love this story. I really do. It's a REAL Lucius/Hermione fic! I haven't found one of those in ages, lol.

I just want to point out one thing you may or not have heard about already; the incantation for the Cruciatus is actually Crucio. Minor point.

Have fun with your skiing - I have confidence that the wait for an update will be worth it. *grin*

thank you for the update, I was getting worried that this was going to be another orphan fic. Congratulations on the race, I wish you the best of luck! Best wishes for your surgery as well, hopefully you will make a speedy recovery. Although...I must admit I am looking forward to frequent updates as you are one of my favoriteauthauthors *grins*. Thats just the selfish part of me though. In the meantime, take care of yourself!

You are a mindreader, I had just wondered if you were going to update soon, and voila an author's note. I hope that you do well in your upcoming races. Is it awful of me to want May to get here soon. I can't wait for an update.

    Mary Kay

P.S. Please let us know how the races and the operation turn out.

Wow, this is getting really exciting! Can't wait to see what Lucius (and Draco, and possibly Severus...) will do to avoid anything bad happening to Hermione!
Oh, and Lizski - are you Norwegian? Or Scandinavian? I just recalled your Norwegian character, the Potions Master Ole from another story, where you tell a lot about Norway... And you mentioned that you ski, so I was wondering if we were of the same nationality? :)
Anyways, great story - keep it coming!

Meep! Just found this story, read all the way through to here and.....cliffhanger? Ack!

You have a truly evocative writing style that makes it easy to visualize your stories. I also like your take (in Lucius' Bookshelves as well) on Lucius prizing the continuation of the bloodline over blood purity as he has gotten older. Kind of like a biological clock for men! Reminds me of some of the Regency period attitudes. Anyway, love your work and I look forward to updates. Thanks for writing

Really good story you have going here... Very interesting, never a dull moment, and that last hint of a cliffie, though detestable for a reader, really leaves me wanting more.
Am I the one who's noticed that wizards somehow managed to be sculpted, with firm, defined muscular bodies? Sure, if you play Quidditch like Harry, that's understandable...but how does Lucius Malfoy, the poshest of posh wizards, whose only 'rigorous physical activities' seem to take place during Death Eater raids, and whose only other activities include pouring himself brandy, plotting from his study, consensual sex (though that one is rare), cursing muggles and sneering indiscriminately at people, develop such a bodacious bod? And what about those others who have extremely limited physical activity? (sex aside, people). It struck me as kind of funny... Would love to see the creative one who comes up with the explanation, props to you in advance if you do.

Mhhhhhh, a tough situation for dear Lucius! I am curious how he will manage to get his son, Hermione and himself out of it. I believe he will need help. Would be a good time to go to Dumbledore und join the "other" side.
I liked Neville! I also see him in this way: maybe not the brightest but a good friend and a polite and gentle man.
Funny how Harry had to keep his promise: a good and enteratining idea.
Thanks for writing this new chapter, in spite of the load of other things you have to do!

Wow! I really liked the ending to this chapter. It seems to be the turning point. Lucius had such good ideas to ensure that the Malfoys would still have everything; too bad snake face had to change it all. Stupid Voldermort:p
He is definitely going to have to get rid of Voldermort now. I wonder if Severus was there at the meeting.

As I was reading the last part of this chapter, I was thinking that Voldermort was reading Lucius' thoughts of Hermione. Since he and his followers are connected, would Voldermort have an easier time of looking into Lucius' head (maybe even from a long distant range)? The whole "fetch your son and mudblood" thing is a trap or test, isn't it?

I love it. I gotta read more. Update soon:)
