Very thoughtful, yet not tiresome didactic was this conversation between Kate and teens who are so different like the night, dawn and sunny day and you are so skilled that able to write them with hints of individuality and in such a convincing way.Ron has large potential to be very interesting, sensitive, however impulsive and hot blood person, what will arrive with his maturity,I suppose-I like read about him despite his undying grudge against Severus, because he`s both nice and cruel,I think you well find a heart of matter-the mutual attraction(apparently brought from the Cannon)between Ron and Hermiona has to have the hidden core in character`s abilities like tolerance and respect without doubt. And this is the fact I hope Ron could handle better Snape,if he grew up from his biases.Harry in your fic is less angry and rebelling teenager than was in the late HP book, obviously you wanted him to be more mature and reasonable, because here he is older and had experienced more. The most beatiful part of this chapter was,how could be other, the lovely, faithfully Kate`s defence of Severus, talking more about her attachment and love than all sweet and fluffy words, usually used. The story from Kate`s past is very sad and dark, somewhat left me hopeless, nonetheless I like angst, even if it cooled my blood and made me uneasy(like the watching horrors in telly, yet I don`t like typical horrors, rather psychothrillers).I presume the riches of your descriptions(of people as well as places) that excite my imagination, are connected with your capacity for fine arts.Oh,I forgot to add I love the idea Severus and Kate as the parents of daughter.

I hope Ron snaps out of it soon. He really just doesn't get the sacrifices that Severus and Kathryn have to make
    Wow
Wow, the story of Elise was sad. Poor vain thing.

    Please keep writing. Happy Christmas!

The darkness is coming and I`m trembling, anxiously waiting for the future, despite I love the kindness and calm of the part of the story when you had described new life of Severus-in Hogwarts with son and Kate, yet beeing fully aware of the approaching storm. The scene in Slytherin Common Room-Severus deliciuosly kept in character, then his softening and "the other side of the moon" in his chambers-this is the reason I appreciate and love your fic so much-all these small, precious well-written pieces of the story, all little interludes, describing characters, feelings and motives of the heroes, precisely selected vocabulary and the style, not mere scrabbling"on my own"but the real writing work on high level, you could teach the proffesional writers many skills,I`m wholeheartedly convinced of.I like the idea of new Winky`s role-I think this is good occupation for her,she might be able to change her attitude, having the proper duty and target, even if only temporary.Kate`s was was flawless, wasnt it?I didn`t mention earlier but very appreciate the way you wrote about her as the dangerous lethal assassin-it was priceless.I`m obviously scared, considering the strange creat who who would help Voldemort-what kind of species they are?!You always astonished me in the previous fic when you had brought new characters of different shapes in,all these Elves and my favourite one-amazing Dragonlady(I like her and wonder if you include her once more).I envy your talent and imagination, but without any evil intentions behind it!
I`m waiting for next installment as usual.
    Merry Christmas!

Ah, the plot thickens again! What a talent you have for twisting and turning and keeping us all on the edge of our seats. I love how Severus puts on his 'nasty head of Slytherin' persona and takes prin hin his performance; you paint fabulous images. And thank you, thank you thank you for giving Severus three dimensions; he was delicious to begin with but you've added the icing...

okay what did you bring into the story this time? the anti-elders or something? when you described the girl i thought of the child the vampire Armand created just after he became a vamp. Did you bring vamps into the story Barrie?

Okay, what are those 3 new agents of the dark? Are they part demon or something? I am very interested to see their part in your fic.
The welcoming of the Slytherin first year was pretty enlightening. I loved how Severus had to surpress his amusement of the situation til he was gone.
I look forward to Kathryn's DADA classes to commence.
Ryan is adorable. (And what else would he be.)
    Keep writing please!!!!

Dark and more angst gets my vote!

Suprised K's -uhm- appetite hasn't got the best of her yet..

I think too this year in Hogwarts will be astonishing and outstanding despite the fact all years in this school are very far from the school we used to know, aren`t they? The own child makes the parents more vulnerable and sensitve, less selfish and unreasonable, brings with his/her birth new fears, before almost unknown and unexpected-this is the way I have experinced my own motherhood, perhaps even such a cold-blood and sometimes heartless man as Severus must feel alike.I`m not astonished he wants to hide the kid, however Kate is right in this case-he has to make Ryan`s life as normal as possible. The developing of Harry`s and Hermiona`s responsibility and maturity will be very interesting to watch as well as the changes in Ron who appears the most adolescent of the Trio.Of course,I expect some hints of Remus and Tali(the short fic about them is worth reading)and the angst, darkness and battles with mystery and new invented plots, exactly as in "Sub Rosa"(you deserve standing applause for it!).

    Hi there,
I can't tell you, how much I like your Story "Sub Rosa" and I'm absolutly thrilled because you're back now with the Sequel. Your really made my days! Your Severus is so much in character and although so very vulnerable and lovable that I can't stop reading. I hope that you bring him and Kathryn to a lucky ending, becauso both of them deserve it!
Best wishes for christmas and a happy new Year from Germany
    yours
