I'm glad to see Severus and Ron getting along more. I just hope that it wasn't Severus who was bitten by the snake. Surely the snake would realize that Severus was a friend after hg gog gone with Harry to the Dursley's the week prior, even if he was invisible. Another lovely chapter.

I loved the way Ron is finally beginning to understand Harry's relationship with Severus and maybe even beginning to see the good in Severus that Harry does.

What an excellent plan of Severus' to keep Petunia and Dudley from the worst of it. Please, please let us in on all the gory details of what happens to that bastard Vernon. Also, please tell us who the Death Eater who died was. The snake was a very, very nice touch.

Oooo, fighting ensues. This was yet another excellent chapter, delving deep into the pysche of...well, it was good, and my brain just went blah.

It's great how you write the relationship 'tween Hermy and Ron. He's SO clueless, sometimes! And there's the bits where Harry proves that old habits are hard to break. And Sev is NOT a nice guy. He's using his influence in the Death Eater deal to get back at the Dursleys
    Nee
Need I say more? It's great!

That was bloody excellent!!! I'm so glad you got that posted tonight, my son is gone to Gramma's and it's so much nicer to read it as a whole vs. between bouts of "Mom I need.."

Anyway, onto my comments. I love that Ron planned to go to Privet Drive to scare the fuck out of the Dursleys. What stupid luck, and great writing *smirk*, that he got there the same night as Sev and friends. And I can't wait to find out who died.

Kudos to Albus for waiting to call Minerva. Again speaks well to your take on Albus that he unquestionably protects Sev and Harry at the same time. Great chapter, Lee!!

What can I say that probably hasn't already been said about how wonderful this story is? Probably nothing, so I'll just say it all ay. ay. I've really enjoyed the first 51 chapters!! They're absolutely wonderful! Hmm...some other adjectives. Okay, how about: Great, Stupend and and totally wicked cool? In case you haven't noticed the trend, I LOVE IT!! And I love how you're written the relationship between Harry and Snape. Very realistic. The way they have to deal with Snape's Death Eater activities, Harry's childhood, and how they affects their relationship elevates your story above the other 'serious' stories that just brush over those factors. Your story has grit with a large dose of humor, just the way I like 'em!

Keep up the wonderful work, and I can't WAIT until the next chapter. I'll be waiting!

I know that I am about as senile as Dumbldore's grandmother and when lucid as still as confused as Dudley in a bridal wear shop but- HOW THE HELL DID I MISS THE FACT THAT THERE IS A NEW DARK LORD? WHO IS HE? DOES HE LOOK ANY BETTER THAN VOLDIE DID? IS HE TAKING APPLICATIONS FOR A 'DARK LADY'? CHAPTER 51 RY HAY HAS ME STRESSING. I want to see Vernon live a long excrutiatingly painful life with wizards dropping by all the time to ask how he is doing.... And can we have Dudley come home from whereever hovering three feet off the ground/with a GOOD YEAR BLIMP sign pasted to his massive parts?

Am only up to chapter 36, but just wanted to let you know how much I'm enjoying this story (and glad to see that I have many more chapters to read) particularly this part with the clever twist about the spell to heal Snape, it all makes sense now - and I'm loving the angsty point you've left this chapter one (am obviously going to read 37 asap!).

I'm a little behind on my reading. Doing Chapters 50 and 51 here.

I love it every time you get Harry and Hermione together, such interesting conversations. The image of Harry in an oatmeal bath with raisins was just too good. Loved the sweet scenes between Harry and Severus. Hated the visit to the Dursleys but know that it was necessary. Can't wait to see what Severus will arrange for Vernon. I just hopw it's something that the crud will have to live with for the rest of his ugle life rather than being allowed the mercy of death.

And ... I love your title even if it is a long one.
