AWWW! They screwed like little bunny rabbits. It was so sweet. (Just being a little sarky... menstral crankiness.)
It was well worth the wait. Hermione seemed happy with it. Severus seemed more than happy too. I loved how Hermione stayed Miss Bossy-Boots during the lovemaking and barked orders. Very Hermione.
I loved your line about the unimaginative writer and the soap opera that had been their courtship. I personally think you have plenty of imagination Barrie.
    Cheers luv!

Ah, a chapter (o.k., two chapters) that have me earning my nom de plume!

    Hot, steamy, unbelievable!

Dang, woman, that was an unbelievable moment for our couple, rightly deserving of the longer-than-usual posting! I hope there's happiness and relatively smooth sailing; these two have endured quite enough just to get to where they can be completely themselves and completely together.

Now, off to bed with you; tomorrow is another day (fiddle dee dee!).

Totally awesome. Good way to end the chapter. The writing is excellent and professional. Thank you so much foring ing the time to tell this part of th story rather than just going on to the lemons and all that jazz. It would have ruined the story if you hadn't told what happened in the aftermath of the battle with publicity, etc... GOOD JOB!

I do enjoy this story, but I am also waiting for you to provide the ending soon. I know it is close, I will hang in until the end.

I must say the last few chapters were angsty. Interesting battle scene with some disturbing imagery- but that is what battles are. Imaginative environment concerning the ward room, I enjoyed that very much.

Still taintainignexcellent characterization, your best asset is your kids are kids and the adults are adults.

Still waiting for you to return to sev and k, or do you still need a break for the muse to kick back in?

    I am also enjoying"revenge".

This is one of the most beautiful post-War chapter I've read. The emotions are real - the victory, on one hand is euphoric (Severus' recognition), on the other hand, empty (the loss of the 6th and 7th years). Not everything has a happy ending - Ginny's breakup with Harry makes this chapter more rooted in reality; Ron having to deal with a changed Lavender is another example. For our couple, the war has matured Hermione to the point that she's in many ways more, Severus' equal. Having undergone the same heartbreaking grief of seeing the loss of friends, this foundation brings their relationship to a more equal footing despite the difference in their age and experience.

I'm experiencing mixed feelings now. I'm looking forward to the end, knowing that the culmination of this wonderful story is at hand, but at the same time, sadden that this most interesting ride would soon be over. Nonetheless, I look forward to reading your other works.

I so loved the paragraph ending with "though some of the first years ran screaming which did seem to cheer him up" that I read it out loud to my husband. Your subtle sense of humor is perfect for Snape-iness.

Forgive me if others have pointed this out already -- I always post a review before reading the rest because aff.net loads slowly on my computer -- but didn't you mean to refer to Malfoy as the Ferret rather than the Weasel? (It's rather amusing that JKR had Crouch-as-Moody turn Draco into something so reminiscent of his Weasley insult.)

Hermione's visit with her parents was illuminating -- particularly interesting to see her thoughts about the age difference. Did you plan that before the discussion on WIKTT? Either way, it was a good explanation of the problem, along with a good answer for any naysayers who think she couldn't possibly be happy with a man "so much older." Their shared battle experience could be a powerful bonder, too, though I can completely see it working the opposite way, as with Ginny/Harry and, to an extent, Lavender/Ron.

I cried with this chapter. I know of death, it's pain, it's sting and it's siren's call. I felt her pain keenly. Words mostly fail me now....but that was a very moving and emotional chapter. Way to go!

    Us - threaten you?!
Never. (putting whips and chains away - whistling queitly)
We would never threaten you. (smirking - fondling thumbscrew and boot)
I mean there are so many other ways to keep you writing.
We would never so harmful things (at least anything that was permanent)
That bit about the carrot and the stick is just a cliche. (sticks are so...passe and un-modern)

(Considering the rack and wondering just how tall the author is and how tall she'd like to be)

WOW! I'm speechless! The entire chapter was great, as is the story, but the last scene between Hermoine and her parents was amazing. I was actually moved to tears!! It was so tender and real that it made me hurt a little. Beautifully written!!!

BRAVO! An heroic battle sequence, a realistic aftermath, and the inequity of those who have fought in conjunction with those who haven't. To include the to-be-or-not-to-be of a realationship in this epic backdrop is difficult at best and unreadable at worst. You have surpassed the best to tug at the heartstrings of your audience and the hopeful fruition of your very worthy couple. This is a lovely and heartfelt piece of work, and I am eager for the desset... somehow I cannot conceive of anyone who deserves is more than your self-sacrificing and noble Severus Snape.

Where to start...I keep watching these characters develop in this universe of theirs, they are real and whole and true. It is a pleasure to read your work, and an honor to know such an artist. Keep on; I await every new chapter and story, and am never disappointed.
