Reviews for A Terrible Temptation

There's a quote from A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM that is relevant here: "Receive, O Bosom, this noble blade!" (uttered by the sweet dumb boy hero whenever he screws up, which is fairly often). Harry would likely recognize the context, the quote, and the relevance to his own personal situation. *Plotz*

Ooh, cliff-hanger, I can't wait to see what Snape does to comfort Hermione.

The last line made a really funny visual in my head. Harry beating his head against the wall, like Dobby in the 2nd movie. Was neat the way the light went off for Harry as well. Maybe Snape was in love. Well noone ever said he was the brightest bulb in the pack.
    More soon please.

I love this story's character development. Harry showed more maturity than normal in this chapter -- a little bit lihe lhe leap of logic Ron took to figure out "Harry" was Snape -- and (joy!) even when he backstepped a bit, he mopped up after himself. (As a side benefit, he's been knocked over the head with proof that his long-hated teacher cares deeply about his friend.) Snape always liking "a field report before venturing into enemy territory" is priceless, not to mention a subtle reminder that he will forever think like a spy. (I don't know what it says about him that he equates an emotional Hermione with the enemy. I suppose emotions of any sort besides anger are pretty foreign to the guy.)

Tea with Ron was also delightful. Your view of him has changed my opinion of the canon character ... I never detested him as some HG/SS shippers do, but it's easy to see him as one dimensional, especially because the movies reinforce that characterization. Your Ron is a reminder that the character has potential.

I will add my glowing praise for your story to the scads of those who have come before. In my own defense, I only discovered the story this morning. Sigh. It's delightful, and the only problem I can find is that it's not complete. Heavy Sigh. ok fok forward to the resolution of your allergies, which all in our house are suffering from as well -- it's that SoCal air; and eagerly await your next installment.

I will gladly, and with great malice of forethought happily provide Mr Potter with a large wall, covered in ten inch spikes that will play off-key bagpipe music in the MUSAK style just for him to beat his head against. To ensure the beating experience is perfect I will also add in a troup of Flatley Irish dancers (out of step), and myself, singing..... (something no sane person wants to hear: I 'll even Fat hat him).

Holy Flying Fingers Batman! You ARE prolific.h toh to my delight. I think this story's just as good as SR and EPU; of course, I've always been a SSHG shipper. But your humour is what makes your writing so appealing - I love Harry's ending thought and I've felt that way many a time myself. I do hope you get to eat and sleep in between all your updating!

LOL Poor Harry. Trying to be nice, and make up for being a jerk, and goes and sticks his foot in it anyway. : )~ Sounds about right for a teenage boy.

Chapter 31... What a WONDERFUL look into these people!!! Both Ron & Harry showed maturity & Hermione & Severus both showed insecurity!!!

I really like how you wrote the conversations between Severus & Ron as wellSeveSeverus & Harry!!! I think it took a lot for Harry to go to him & tell him what happened!!! I know that part of the reason was that he cares for Hermione, but I think it went beyond that!!!

I am looking forward to seeing how Severus handles Hermione's thoughts & feelings that Harry started in her!!! Til chapter 32, deb >^..^

Grr. I can't see ANY updates here even if I go to your profile page. *sigh* And I don't get emails from WIKTT either anymore, the place is just not what it used to be I feI feel uncomfortable with all the otness. So I miss important updates.
But it does have the positive side of readin many chapter at once and not having to wait for the next one, but then again the wait for the new oneS is longer too...

About importanyt matters: Glad that Harry seems to be getting some sense into that thick head of his. And I have to say that having refreshed my memory by rereading OotP again he is much more IC than most of the accepting and understanding Harrys you see. The same with Ron not being a stupid table leg.
Although I can't imagine Severus discussing quidditch to save my life. It actually makes sense when you think that he refereed that match in canon, but in fanon he is usually anti-quidditch and you rarely see anything else so that it has become something like "You mean Snape actually hasn't been proven to hate quidditch in canon, not even a hint?" thing.
The insecurity at the beginning of the chapter had completely dissapeared by the end? Huh? That was a str strange. But I soimehow get the image of Adult!Snape still being somewhat affected by the time he spent as a teenager and still has some of that in him... Or maybe I'm just confused out of my mind...
