Wow.... finally.... 22 chapters in, the first kiss! heh. I really loved it, but there was still a part of my mind that was screaming "Lolita! Lolita!" Still, I can't wait to see how far this goes and how you will write the screaming shack incident. Great Job so far!

Part 21, Chapter the Nineteenthe: The Constraints of Time can be such a Drag

I am so sorry that I didn't do this sooner, but I have been extremely busy & had missed the fact that you had added another chapter!!!

Things are getting even better!!! I do like the fact that Severus allows his heart to feel, but maintains his honor by not following through!!! I think that the title of this chapter is PERFECT!!!

I can't wait to see how their meeting goes!!! Til your next update, Deb >^..^

Chapter the Eighteenthe: The Root Which Bears Dead Flowers....

Another FABULOUS chapter my dear!!! I really do like the way you wrote the relationship between Hermione & Ginny!!! It is wonderful for them to have each other!!!

I can't say enough about how much I LOVE the way you write Severus!!! I really like the different perspectives & views that you show!!! I think that he is a very complex character & I do hope & wish that J.K.R. will gives us a bit more of him in the last 2 books!!!

As always I will be watching for more!!! Til your next update, Deb >^..^

I am absolutely going to marry this story. Every time I see a new part, I become giddy and am never disappointed. You do a lovely job of building their relationship and not offending"sh"she's freaking 14!" sensibilities while remaining true to canon, characterisation and all.

I do hope that things will get better for you soon!!!

Part 19, Chapter the Seventeenthe: A Yellow Flower and a Red Sunset

I do like this chapter very much!!! Being 14 can be so trying!!! On one hand you are a child, but on the other you are on the beginning path to becoming an adult!!! You are expected to "act your age" & to know that "you aren't a little girl anymore", but when you feel like you are making a choice to do shinghing that you want to do, "you are too young to know what you want" gets thrown in your face!!! Could that age be any more than a confusing time in life?!?

As for Severus, not being male I can only see his side to a degree;-) I think you have hit the nail on the head as far as how this girl could evoke these feelings in him & still gave him strength, his honor & the respectable decission to use his intelect to know that he can not go beyond his friendship with her (at least not for several more years)!!!

I think you are doing a FANTASTIC job at writing both of these characters & I think you are laying some very important as well as intricate ground work for what could prove to be a very strong & powerful relationship in the future!!!

Can't wait for more!!! Til your next update, Deb >^..^

Thankyou for that last chapter. It was beautiful to read and I found it so very easy to image such a scene between our Severus and Hermione. Lovely, just lovely.

um....slightly confused....first you said the sorting was over, and Hermione left for the common room, then harry and ron were looking in the great hall at the sorting, then Hermione was going to the common room to meet the first years... but i do like the way you have them speak, oh and in last chapter...I LOVED him playing teacher and than regretting it. i can see him doing that.

that was intense and beautiful! the bit about snape and light was wonderful and when you described their connection... i actually shuddered. it made me feel as iwas was under a spell and the children running past the door broak the spell making me feel as if the floor had moved and i was about to fall! Amazingly written. oh and the line at the end 'lovers spat with an eleven year old' had me laughing SO hard! thanks so much for posting!

Ok, first off I must say that this chapter brought tears to my eyes. Wonderfully well written and so very realistic. I also have to say that I overlooked this story 6 or 7 times before I finally decided to read it. I loved the sound of it, and all of the reviews were good but I could not get past the first chapter. the language was so...wordy, and rather complex, and I really didn't feel like wading through it in order to enjoy it. in the end I just skimmed through the first two chapters and was pleasantly surprised to see that the writing became more natural and a lot easier to read. Don't get me wrong, I love writers like Shakespeare and JRR Token and enjoy reading complexly written stories, but only when I'm in the mood.

Again, I want to say that once I got past the first two chapters I have enjoyed the story and the writing immensely. thank you for posting!

Chapter the Sixteenthe: To Be Petrified... If anything good came out of this situation for Severus it is that the ice that he has allowed to form around his heart is melting away!!!

I really liked the humor that was shared between Severus & Minerva!!! Those 2 seem to have a nice balance!!! I also likes this bit from Albus:

You're a very talented writers and this seems like a good story, but there is far too much babbling before there is an actual plot. I lost interest quickly and haven't made it past the first three chapters because they were slightly boring. It's not a bad thing that you elaborate so much, in fact, it's a good thing, but if it gets to the point that there's too much in the way of the plot its incredibly dull.

Part 17, Chapter 15... My heart is just aching for Hermione!!! Being so bright & yet so young is so very frustrating for her!!! I also feel for Severus though because in his heart he soesn't want to hurt her, just wants her to see things from his perspective, adult vs. child!!!

I know that there is still a long way to go, but I am really looking forward to the time that they can get beyond this, to get to really know each other!!! I also think that after Hermione calms down she may see that hope lies in the future!!!

    Til chapter 16, Deb >^..^
