Wow! What a great Line - absolutely priceless! Our heroic if somewhat clueless Harry jumping to conclusions and offering to save the day! And what's this - a somewhat dark Hermoine choosing the slytherin gift? I love your story, but I think you are definitely going for Draco in this story - I feel you are making him much mappeappealing than Harry. Suave, sexual, physically adonis-like, rich, intellectual, caring, powerful (never used his powers because they were too destructive and he was capable of such self restraint? Even when he was turned into ferret/slug/etc.?). He seems a lot more flushed out than Harry, who comes across a little wishy washy (except for the unfortunate physical abuse incident) and one dimensional. I hope I'm reading too much into this and your H/Hr bias will win out, but I'm losing hope with each chapter. At any rate, your story telling is awesome, compelling, and leaves me begging for more! Thanks!

this is a fantastic story. I wouldn't worry about it being long and adult with no sex. A lot of people stick to adult fanfic sites because the stories are written by adults, and therefore hopefully of a higher quality anyway.

looking forward to the "interesting" bits

wow! that story is really quite something. i loved harry's reaction at the end of the 17th chapter: what a cool cliffhanger! personally, i've always thought ron might turn out to be something of a ninny, so i'm glad somebody agrees with me. the idea of the four g of of the founders is quite clever and i really enjoyed reading about hermione's struggle to choose. i can't imagine what i'd do with such a choice, but i can understand hermione's. now comes the real challenge: will she continue to want harry or will she realize that draco truly is the shiznit? i can't wait to read more of this.

Every so often, I stumble upon a story whose author knows how to write in English, keep everyone (fairly) in character and everything within the realm of possibility, and create actual PLOT! So, I thank you. :)

Wonderful story. I have some speculations now and say that Hermione's choice might actually be what gives her side victory. The Slytherin gift has not been chosen since the single gift policy was initiated, so Hermione is the only one walking around with the charisma enhancement other than Voldemort, and since Voldemort has the Hufflepuff Gift "To know one

WOW! I must say, my dear, I am surprised. I wouldn't have thought Hermione had the... I don't really know what it is but I didn't actually think she would. Not that it was OOC. It was fantastically written and all that jazz but WOW. I really didn't... WOW. I did think Draco was going to choose Gryffindor but hold on a second, I'm still WOWing. WOW.

I must admit to being a bit disappointed in her choice, although I can see how it would move the story along. Nice touch with Draco-and was that a bit of foreshadowing in the founders speech? Hm...looking forward to see what you do next-nice touch bringing in the Russian and Chinese influences.

OMG! Harry is *so* sweet in this one! : )~ That was great what aid aid to McGonagall.

I must admit, I'm *dying* to know why Draco chose as he did. And the shock of McG. and Snape at Hermione's choice was absolutely priceless. ::smirk::

I'm on the edge of my seat for the next chapter

Great chapter (17)! I was pleased with how the ceremony came out, especially Draco's choice; it showed he has a long-term vision and is not just a hound in need of constant gratification. I also liked the "additional" magic that goes with each gift. It made Hermione's choice easier to take. It was clear from the vision that she already had Courage, Knowledge, and Suc in in abundance, so what she really needed was Charisma. It was not such a short-term or self-serving choice after all. Well done with that.

I would like to point out, and I've seen this in a few other fics as well, the term is "disapparate," not "apparate away." When one arrives, he apparates; when he leaves, he disapparates. Otherwise I noticed no glaring errors, so being more careful certainly helped. You'll find having your hubby (or any friend) reading your work not not only help with the proofreading, but it may be a good source of ideas and inspiration, having someone else give you feedback on the story before you post it.

Keep it up. I can't wait to find out what happens next!

Very clever chapter. I like how you're developing your characters, and it will be very intriguing to see where to take them.
