Severus and Hermione are going to be fine. I have faith now. He's finding her attractive. Now, we need to know more of how she feels about him.

So, Remus is Ginny's soul mate. Very interesting.

I'm so happy for Neville. He deserves it.

    (So, how's Joe? [tee hee])

    Phantastic chapter, again.
While I certainly share the mostly melancholic view on the marriage, my favourite sentence was this one:

Emma felt a surge of pity for Severus Snape well up inside her. The poor man; he would never know what hit him.

Hoping for multiple Garnny action in the next chapter. And then the wedding night, of course ;)

Yes, I am back. Hopefully I will be around more. I love this story so far. The ceremony was very much like one I've been to recently. Two of my dearest friends were maried on Beltane Eve. They have seven children though, and there was a whole big family part to their ceremony. I'll be checking for updates, so don't dissapoint me.(just kidding)

    Blessed Be

Read the wedding chappy last night.

Extremely and wonderfully detailed ceremony. It tht the movement of swishing robes, and the logical procession. I liked the blending of the season and earth element themes.

Somewhat romantic in a detached sense, can't explain it otherwise. Also appreaciated the bits of humor laced in the story. "Snape doesn't know what he's up against".

Snapes logical extension of what HG will be like in the future based on seeing her mother was a nice and logical touch.

Snape is remaining in character with his level of annoyance, anger, and snarkiness. Nice subtle touches between HG/SS. Funny they both wanted to snark back at the self satisfied wedding offical. It is OK to dress up Snape in colors other than black, canon says so!

Can't wait for the NEXT chapter...someone's family member has got to get hexed at the feast, there is just too much tension. SS/HG are under so much stress somethings got to snap soon.

=D Enjoying this very much. Have fun playing "dark wizards"

Um - dude? In some cultures, weddings could go on for hours, and the celebrations linked to them could go on for *weeks*. More particularly - in ancient Israel, right, Friendlyquark? At least, I think so. In fact, the idea of different people coming to pick up the bride, other people standing around the groom, and in a highly ritualized way sort of reminds me of bits and pieces of the Psalms and the Song of Songs. Only pagan! :)

I thought this chapter was bad, I don't know if you got it(the whole wedding ritual) off of someone or thought it up yourself, but I read all I could of it, and just skipped the rest......I really like this story it's greatly done except what I've mentioned above, the Neville scene was L.O.L. ........but I just can't see the wizarding community going through what you wrote every time someone gets married.
P.S. Keep Hermione very adult like, don't have her acting childish, and if you can have her piss off her arogant(sp?) relatives and get away with it!

Chapter 12... You did a FABULOUS job of writing the ceremony!!! I LOVE how both of them would have been happy to beat the priest from the ministry;-) I also like the way that you wrote their internal frustration!!!

What her mom was thinking is exactly what I have been thinking.... Emma felt a surge of pity for Severus Snape well up inside her. The poor man; ouldould never know what hit him. Hermione is a force to be reckoned with!!!

I am looking forward to the feast as well as their wedding night!!! Til chapter 13, Deb >^..^

Very lovely ceremony that reminds me of the substance of a handfasting an acquaintance of mine had. The symbolism was lovely and there was hope woven through it, even though it was such a solemn occasion and lacking the usual joy it should have. I'm hoping once they begin to talk together as husband and wife that they meet on more common ground and see all the things they have in common and build from there. Of course, there's Neville's impending connection to come that should wreak some havok. ^_^

So nice to see an update. I'm not sure who I feel more sad for-Hermione or Snape. The ceremony was so vividly detailed-I like that. Makes it so much more real. I just wish they could all be more happy about the whole thing. It's supposed to be such a happy experience, and they are all so upset. Especially with hearing about Mr. and Mrs. Weasley's ceremony and the giddyness that went along with it. That just made it that much more depressing. :o( I hope that their 'night' goes better. (At least there won't be an upset audience for that! Until next time...

It was a lovely ceremony. I just wish the marriage was in happier circumstances. It would have been perfect if they were married of their own free will.
I especially liked McGonnagall, Flitwick, Hooch and Sprout representing the four elements. That was neat.
Poor Hermione. I flikelike fleeing the room in her stead. Is she going to break down? I really don't see it, even if she feels like it. She's just too strong for that.
    Cheers dear.
