Reviews for A Dish Served Cold

Vlovelovely set up and teaser. This has such a wonderful variety of possibilities already laid out. Your Snape is not so terribly cruel, and Hermione has such a wonderful degree of common sense. I love the entire section about Hermione's parents picketing the Ministry to the complete lack of comprehension of her Professors. I sat chuckling to myself... my kids think I'm nuts. I will be very happy to follow this story of yours regardless of how often you post.

Severus was struck by this argument and the image of being married off to Millicent Bulstrode arose in his mind. The vision of her carrying him across the threshold made him blanch.
Hilarious - this chapter had me in stitches basically - him picturing Millicent and himself and Hermione and Mad-Eye was priceless - keep up the good work!

Good chapter. There won't be any confusion further forward about what they were feeling when they got engaged. Can't wait to see how you develop this and how everyone will react. I do like to see Dumbledore out-confused by those around him and Im intrigued as to how much of a snake-pit you make the Serpent's Den and how Hermione fares in it. Update soon. :o)

    *sigh* *grin*

Been there, read that ... I mean, those considerations about whom to choose ... but still ... you did it in your very own style and thus made it really enjoyable.
So again I put aside all my vows of avoiding WIPs ... which seemsbecobecome a habit with those written by you - at least one can check daily for updates without being disspointed too often. Thanks for that!

Oh, and a thought popped into my head: If a girl is still at school and married to a teacher, wouldn't it be prudent to change schools and finish her education elsewhere ... like ... at Beauxbatons? No? Well, just a thought ...

Hooray! I'm glad to see this. You don't need me to tell you again how much I like the concept (to review: I do, I do!), but the new stuff is equally compelling -- the drama from Hermione's point of view. I strongly believe in sensible-under-fire Hermione and so the way you have her react seems completely in character. (Her decision to sign on for a Snape marriage without specifically asking if that was all right with him is, I suppose, a sign of her faith in her own logic, but it's amusing to think of it as her one act of power in a situation that makes her powerless.)

Her musings on Snape's attractiveness (or, rather, lack thereof) has the ring of poetry. Plus it's a good reality check for all who have taken a sharp left from canon ... I like Snape the greasy, attractive by dint of intelligence, power and silky voice. (And Edwardian fashion. Buttons, buttons everywhere. Though I guess that's really a Warner Brothers creation.)

This is a teeny tiny picky poibut but I think a word got lost in this sentence when you uploaded the story: "Dumbledore added softly and Hermione

I find in amusing that the first thing she thinks of after signing is how bad she's going to get it from her parents. It's something I would do. Hehehehe. I like this new story, I'm glad it found it's way to paper. And to AdultFF.

Oh my! Bubble Bath, A Terrible Temptation and A Dish Served Cold are 1-2-3 in the line-up. This could be the best lunch break of the week! I enjoy reading all of your stories. Thanks for writing them!

This is looking good. Hope that your other plot bunnies get throwithwith you quickly so that you can turn your full attention to this one. Although, knowing the fickle and energetic nature of the aforementioned species of bunnies, that might just be wishful thinking... I really like the premise of Snape's family messing his life around. Most of the stories I've read in that genre involve his mother, so it'll be interesting to see what bother his dad can get him into.

Hope you get a chance to update soon :oD

Chapter 2... Interesting petitioners!!! I did like this line: She felt a little insulted that marriage to her was considered a punishment, sounds like Hermione!!!

I look forward to seeing how her parents react as well as future glimpses into Severus' family!!! Til chapter 3, Deb >^..^
