This was a lovely story too- very clever and very funny. I hate to tell you this- am becoming a fan of yours. Don't worry I don't stalk and won't scream shrilly in your ear. I may read everything you've posted though. Sorry! Such is the price of fame!

Hilarious! Loved it - especially the demon's song and Madam Hooch and her broom. Hahaha. But whatever happened to Poppy behind closed doors - the one unanswered question. I've read everything you've posted here now and I enjoyed all of them immensely. Thanks and I just hope you write some more.

Heh, so many, many funny things here I do't know what to touch on first.
Do you know both this and "Sloe Comfy Screw" are on my Recommended Reading list? < *Grin*>

Nay. NAY NEIGH. I take back everything I said about characterization. I shall die happily years from now with the mental image of professoress mcgonnogal (sp)clutching filch's family jewels. I shall die giggling like a schoolgirl, just as i am now. Teeheehee ;) love it, babes!

Well written. Your writing has a good flow to it, and i can tell you actually used a spellchecker (and/or a beta). Many brownie points for you!

My only thought is to work on your characterization, though this is a funny story and the characterization isn't as necessary as with a drama, or such. It's just fine in this instance, but if you were to write an angst, I'd be careful.

OH and here's my suggestion for the strawberry lemonade (though yours is good, too, this is something I came up with while experimenting. We, southerners, enjoy our drinks as cold as possible):

Make lemonade as directed to begin with (lemonjuice & water, heated; add 3 cups sugar, not two). Chill the lemonade until it is cold enough to drink. Run a few cups of ice through a blender, OR, as i did, find frozen strawberries and run THOSE through a blender until you have a slush. Add lemonade.

Blackberries and raspberries work good, also-- frozen or thawed. And orange juice. Make a citrus slushy by adding lime and orange juice to your lemonade slush. Slushy slush slush sloosh. Goody goody gumdrops!

Hehe! Fun. I loved the song bit. It reminded me of the musical episode of Buffy.... Great dialogue in the last part of the chapter!
