So, to sum up: even if you want to disregard everything I said about the content of the story, get a beta reader. Pay attention in English class. Having good writing skills makes it easier to read and improves the quality, even if the story itself is horrible.

Denial - an assertion that something said, believed, alleged, etc., is false

Rage - to act or speak with fury; show or feel violent anger; fulminate

Acceptance - The act or process of accepting; agreement

After you read this guide, which category will you fall into?

    -

Mary Sue (sometimes shortened simply to Sue) is a pejorative term for a fictional character who is portrayed in an idealized way and who is generally lacking in any truly noteworthy flaws (or having her flaws romanticized, as is sometimes the case with stories about characters with eating disorders, depression, or other psychological conditions). Characters labeled Mary Sues, as well as the stories they appear in, are generally seen as wish fulfillment fantasies on the part of the author.

Characters most commonly labeled Mary Sues are often characterized by their unusual and dramatic traits and experiences, their similarity to their author or their author's ideal person, and, most especially, the trait of extreme superiority in comparison to other characters.

Those labeled Mary Sues normally have exceptional physical and personal characteristics, including unusual and (typically) tragic backgrounds. They may have uncommon eye or hair colors or come from a race or species which is uncommon or unknown in the story

Hey all -- Anne the author here. Figured I might as well (1) answer the questions here and (2) leave the answers here for anyone else who has them.

As far as what happened, here's what I had in mind: Professor Letour cast a spell to turn herself into Patrella - because she wanted Harry, but couldn't have him as an adult. (I also had the idea that she had gotten involved with students before, very illegally, and perhaps she thought that doing it this way, she wouldn't get caught or get in trouble.) But because that was a Dark Magic spell and she wasn't a Dark Magic sort of witch, she had to siphon some of Snape's Dark Magic off of him in order to do it. She used the picture of herself as a kind of token in the spell - it was what held everything together. This Siphoning of his powers, however, was killing Snape slowly. Dumbledore found out about it, and burned the picture to break the spell, which worked, but in a kind of horrible way. I was assuming it killed Patrella/Prof. Letour, but I never really decided for sure, so...could be almost anything.

If you have any other questions, feel free to write to me at annehedonia@comcast.net. And thanks for reading. :)

Prof Letor or what enc enchanted a picture of herself to make a younger version of herself appear and that was Patrella. And when Prof. Dumbledore burned the picture, which had been under Snape's desk, Snape, who had been feeling ill, felt better and Patrella a.k.a. Prof. Letor (again, however you spell her name) burst into flames. She made the younger version of herself appear because she was always complementing Harry but he still didn't like her. So I guess she just wanted to screw him the entire time he had her as a teacher. Am I right?
