WOW! I love this story! I was hoping to see a little threesome action, but that was very intense! And I hope you update soon! Ron not seeing himself as a bad guy is very interesting - he is so far removed from the war that he doesn't see anything. I wonder if his girl trying to kill him will bring it any closer to home for him.

    Thanks

(Lady Feylene, forgive me for being so rude and not thanking you profusely for the dedication in Chapter 10! I gives me great pleasure to read you stories, and though I know my lame commenre nre not sufficient praise for your talent, your appreciation is, uh...appreciated? You know what i mean! 8-)

Chapter 11 was very grounding after the "excitment" of Chapter 10. I'm now more than ever worried about where all this is leading Ron. Draco's right, Ron is too power hungry. It can come to no good end.
And I'm embarrassed to say that i've only just noticed it in this chapter, it just now sank in, that everything so far has been from Ron's point of view. And that's one of the best things about this story -- Ron's remarks to the readers. Funny! At least if he's telling the story, that's a good sign! No? Yes?
I'm eagerly anticipating future chapters...which hopefully won't be too far into the future!

Thank you, My Lady, for Chapter 10! Swoon and Sigh! I yelled at the monitor, "Don't 'tell him later!'" I just knew you were going use a Deus Ex Machina, or something that would keep Ron from saying those three little words to Draco and i was ill! (Ill over that? Hello, there's a rape going on and i'm ill over Ron not confessing his love?! I'm as twisted as he is! 8-)
I'm screaming (only on the inside because my 2-year-old is asleep! 8-) with ecstasy because rape or no, that was one HOT sex scene. The way you write makes me feel like i'm inside Ron's head and acting and reag asg as he does. But i'm also screaming with frustration because i have no clue which way you're going to go with this story! On the one hand i am so happy to see you do right by Draco with the "i love you," but the pessimist in me just knows the sweet and fluffy will be short-lived! It's a war, bad things happen to "bad" people as well as "good" people. Is there no way you can work it out where Ron and Draco live happily ever after? (Without Voldemort winning the war and unleashing evil throughout worlworld, blah, blah, blah, that is!)
And what do you mean you won't be updating until Friday!? Do you care nothing for your loyal readers who are hanging on to every word?! In the immortal words of, uh, hmm...oh, yeah, Elvis Presley -- Don't be cruel, Lady Feylene! 8-)
Really looking forward to the rest of Devil May Care -- may it be a really long story, though, or else i'll bitch about it being too short!

shaa. only you, my friend, could write a scene where voldemort comforts ron and make it seem believable, and even canon-like. i really enjoy this version of the death eaters. it feels very real, and it's not often seen in fanfics. most of the writers focus on the mayhem in front of the method, and you've twisted it. you're not denying that people are getting killed and dying, but you're ... gah. it feels very real.
and then the scenes between draco and ron ... it feels very real. like reading a REAL person's diary or something. you do a very good job of capturing emotions in just a few lines. it's very imprve.
    ve.
and do you have any idea how frickin cool it was to click "refresh" and see a new chapter? *dies* very good.

Just read Chapter 10 - and thanks for the dedication!

Ah, Ron... he just crossed a couple of lines there, didn't he? It's one thing when the people you are affecting are faceless masses and your involvement is through intermediaries, and quite another when you are raping the godfather of your best friend. Even if he is rationalizing it as a way of saving Sirius, I think Ron has just reached that nebulous area very near "the point of no return".

I'm not surprised that it's a this point that he discovers he actually loves Draco. Love is a committment, and as long as he didn't say the words (or admit that he felt the feelings), he could still keep the illusion that *he* is the victim. Now, however, it's a different story. You have to wonder how close Ron's thought processes in this are to those of Lucius and Voldemort himself. I mean, in the "I'm doing what I need to do to survive" arena. You have to wonder if Ron will ever realize the price he has now paid for what he has, because I don't know that even Harry could forgive him for this one.

Great stuff! I love psychologically interesting characters, and you are the first person who I have ever seen make Ron a character of that type. This is, of course, why Snape is my personal favorite character to write, all those deep, dark depths in him!

Can't wait for your further updates! Thanks for writing this, it's wonderful!

Wow. Just wow. This is truly an incredible story. It's got so much more than just sex. I love how you've portrayed the psychology of Ron basically going through Stockholm Syndrome. Plus the logic of how you point out that to his friends and supporters, Voldemort is actually charismatic. And of course you're correct in all that, because no matter how personally powerful an individual is, it truly takes charisma - even dark charisma - for someone to lead a force. Not that I like Voldemort or anything, don't get me wrong, but your characterisation is quite valid.

Poor Ron, but I understand why he's doing this. The instinct to survive is very strong. Of course, you can see him rationalizing it by keeping it almost as an intellectual exercise in many ways, because of his insistence upon not hearing the names of those who have died. I think that's one of the ways that war escalates the way that it does sometimes, because the leadership isn't looking into the eyes of the people who are fighting and dying, they are "assets" to be moved around a giant board. And Ron is, of course, a brilliant strategician. Too bad that the good side didn't see that, didn't use it.

All in all, I think you have an absolutely brilliant story going on here, congratulations!! I am very impressed and also eagerly looking forward to reading more! Thanks for spending time writing it, and I hope that everything in your life goes wonderfully so that you feel like writing more for us. Best wishes!

    My Lady,

Who needs sex when you have such an intriguing plot unfolding?! (But i love the smut, too, so keep it coming! 8-)
I'm referring, of course, to Chapter 8 of Devil May Care. I am absolutely riveted, and couldn't help but give my own little growl of frustration when i finished Chapter 9. I'm nervous about what's to come, but can't wait to read more!
Part of me wants to feel guilty for enjoying this story because i would never admit to wanting to know what it would be like if one of the "good guys" went over to Voldie's side. 8-)
And i love Ron. He deserves everything you've given -- -- the respect, the friendship, the love. I can't blame him for embracing "the dark side," which isn't quite that dark when you're inside looking out.
As for Draco, i'm very worried about him. I mean i love Lucius, but he's one twisted Father. And Ron really sucks as a boyfriend sometimes. I still obess over Ron hitting Draco in one of the earlier chapters. And then in Chapter 9 when he didn't immediately Avada Kedavra Sirius Black when Siri accosted Draco, i was highly annoyed. For all his pouting and poncing, he's always just been somebody's toy, and that's why he's the way he is. I can't help but sympathize more with Draco than with Ron.
Again, thanks for sharing this wonderful story with all of "us!" Your efforts are always greatly appreciated!
    Nyla

B.T.W. *blushing furiously and giggling hysterically* OH--MY--RAISTLIN! You dedicated Chapter 8 to me!!! TO ME!! What a tremendous honor! Thank you so much! I thought i would hyperventilate when i saw my name in the Dedication area! There i was reading along, practically inhaling every Chapter, when my name flies off the computer screen at me, and i go careening into the world of Flattered Beyond Reason! (Oh that made no sense whatsoever, but that's how it's affected me! I'm a babbling idiot, now, thanks to you! THANKS! 8-)
