I have read this story many times now, yet each time my perceptions of it change. I am still unsure of Draco's choice, of what his final end would be. My mind and heart wish desperately that he chooses Harry, but some dark corner of my mind reminds me that the Dark Lord holds great sway, and Draco has always been a prideful bastard, in both love and war. I love how the characters are so fleshed out in this story, and I am especialy pleased with the author's ability to tell the readers what Harry has written without ever showing the letters. I am dying to know just what Mr. Malfoy's final decision is, for there are several paths to choose: Family and the Dark Lord; Love tainted with the constant lack of acceptance; or perhaps, even, the ever popular suicide.

This is one of the few stories that portrays Draco's quite grace in love and honesty. Truely an accomplishment in the Harry Potter fanfiction realms.

    Bravo, bravo.

    Ciao....?

I have never read anything like this before. It was so unique. The idea for the story and all the things put into it made me feel like I was in Rome with my feet in the water. Not to mention the incredible writing. What seventeen year old have you ever met with that type of vocabulary? I loved the way they were able to open up to each other, find that little bit of trust that they could put in no one else. Share secrets that no one else would even begin to understand.

I wonder, while reading this, if maybe my mind has been broken into and my ideas put on paper (or screen. whichever you like) or that maybe I wrote this one drunken day and it is but a shadow, a sort of daja vu to me. It pertains so well to my life and how I feel about everything. Of course I could never even come close to the feelings of being pressed with stones each day, losing loved ones, parents that don't love you, and living amongst a war that you are being forced to take part in. But I can relate in the fact that I have always longed for something more, someone to love me and not judge me, someone to trust with things I have never told anyone.

Going past the deeper aspects of this story, I found it very realistic with the teenage boy sexual habbits, lol. I love the fact that you added Blaise into the mix, it made it all the better. Also, she sarcasm on Draco's part was also very well done. You keep him in character with the chauvenism yet refine his character with more intelligence and an anylytical eye for his life.

The climax of the story was also wonderful. The letters must have influenced Harry's perception of people a bit because he did not seem to have been as upset as he would have in the beginning, finding out that it was Draco. I think that a small part of him knew that it was Draco all along.

I also thing that the sex scene that Draco wrote was so hot and also so romantic and a little creepy to send to Harry. I think by that point in the story, they were already in love with each other, just too confused at the time to see it for what it was.

The way it ended was also perfect. The carefree spirit that Draco was jealous of is finally living inside of him. He made his goodbye to Harry so full of meaning that maybe not even he himself realized it at the time.

Wow, I am talking about your characters like they are realm people! I definitely think that anyone who can make me feel like I know their characters and make me give a review this long (lol) is worthy of much praise. If you haven't done so already, write a book, dammit, and let me know when it comes out! You truely are a fabulous writer.

    P.S.
What if I misinterpreted the whole thing?!! This reminds me of the writing od Nathaniel Howthorne. The symbols can mean so many different things depending on who the person is. Just another reason you should go find a publisher *hint*!

I liked this, more than most Draco slash. Both D & H were out of character, but I get that you couldn't write this w/ canon personalities. Original format, if not plot, and though I know this letter format lends itself to ambiguity, there were some basic questions that Draco's letters never answered: why did he start writing to Harry in the first place (besides it being 7th year or curiosity), why and when did he stop hating Harry? Good conversational writing tone (I'd use more contractions, but it still "flows"), and kudos to you & your betas for knowing grammar (but check out when to hyphenate words). *Great* job w/ subtle & not-so-subtle emotions. As a companion to this fic, would love to read Harry's letters to Draco.

I can't leave you a proper review because I'm so flabbergasted and I'll probably end up repeating myself over and over again. I cried. It was just too much. A touch of humor, romance, laced with longing... ahh it was too beautiful for words. The idea of it was very creative, very original, nice job. I don't usually read Slash, but this was just too beautiful for words. I think you captured Draco perfectly. It was very powerful and emotional. I love how you left it hanging, almost ambiguous at the end. I don't think you should continue, because it's beautiful the way it is, but I think we should have a chapter seeing Harry's take on it. The imagery of Harry and Draco at the fountain was so real, it hurt. The last sentence nearly killed me. His last letter captured his desperation so nicely. It was perfect.

OMG! I only read this because you are an awsome writer, I expected something very kinky from your summary. But this was perfect. Beautiful and elegant. My favorite part was when Malfoy was writing about how Dumbledore and Voldemort stole their childhoods. It was so original and well thought out. Thoughts I could see a mature Malfoy having...
