If you want any of the songs let me know and I will see if I can send them to you.

Also, "That Old Black Magic", "Fever" and "Under my skin" I think that those are the titles of the songs, but they will do good for the story.

This is a nice transitional chapter. I just love that you are posting so often lately. You must be on a creative streak, YEAH for me!!!

As for some songs I have a few suggestions. You can go with a couple of contemporary songs like
Peter Gabriel "In Your Eyes", John Hiatt "Have a Little Faith in Me", Bill Withers "Use Me"(this one is a R&B and more of a slow dance type of song), Sheryl Crowe "Home"(this is a melancholy song that could have Serverus listening to while pondering cwertain emotions), Then here are some standards I like..."Them There Eyes" Billie Holiday "Billie's Blues" on Blue Note(live recording),"Travling Light" Billie Holliday(same recording),"Something To live For" Carmen McCrae, "This Will Make you Laugh" Carmen McCrae,"I'm Putting all my Eggs in One Basket" Carmen McCrae(kind of to evoke a humorous double meaning for Serverus about his love and his need for freedom, plus it would make for a good song for a fox trot),I know this is so perdictible but"My Funny Valentine" by Carmen McCrae(sad but slow and sweet, kind of sensual in a way but perfect for Severus and Hermione), "Just the Way You Are"Billy Joel,"'Round Midnight" I Like the Carmen McCrae version, but you could use another version(it has a nice meaning of longing and it is slow and sensual), "Nice Work if You Can Get It"(up beat tempo song), "Good Morning Heartache" Bille Holiday,"I cover the Waterfront" Billie Holiday, "SummerTime" you take your pick there are tons of versions,"When I Fall In Love"(I like the slower versions),"The Sweetest Taboo" Sade,"Is it A Crime" Sade,"Cherish the Day"Sade,"No Ordinary Love" Sade,"You're The Boss" Brian Setzer Orchestra,"The Secret Marriage"Sting, "Be Still My Beatng Hear" Sting.

Ok, that is all I got for now....;) (I married a muscian what do you expect.)

Uh! Well, at least I know that the next chapter is 'Thursday night'! LOL! So, the dancing lessons are with Severus, interesting. :-) Yes, I can already sense that the UST will be so thick that it will have to be cut with a knife. Hermione gives Ron way too much credit! Damn that girl needs to get a clue. I want her to confide in Ginny, too---and I was Ginny to prove that she can be less judgemental and hypocritical than her friend. Lovely chapter, can't wait for the next one, Betz! ~Ginny

Hermione did see to Buckbeak's defence, and not Ron.

Oh Betz, I think I am addicted to your story. It's not enough that I put you on my favorites at Ashwinder, but I'm reading it here too. Addicted, I tell ya.

I think I have died and gone to heaven. No less than three chapters in one week! I had to truly enjoy this chapter so I sat here with a glass of Blackberry Wine and devored this chapter. Delicious. I think I let my mind wander a bit when reading these stories, but you should read some of the theories I have for the sixth book. ;) Anyway, I enjoyed it as always. Nice red herring witht the dance classes; I still think he is acting guiltier than a thief with his hand in the cookie jar. Big dinner at the fancy restuarant, dead give away of a guilty soul. And I think Ginny knows that there is something up as well, considering she knows all about guilt and how to hide it. Your welcome to any wild assed theories I have concocted, I am here to serve. I have to say though, you have done an excellent job of subvertng the issue of Ron and his activities well, eveything looks plausible and nothing's concrete. That is an exlcellent divice. And I forgot to add this before for the pervious chapter, but I loved the use of Alan being the wizard to hit on Hermione in the bar. Very Nice. I had to chuckle at that one. Well, i just love the fact you're updating so often, it really is the only reason I get on the internet everyday. ;)

Another great chapter! Ron just seems....too nervous not to be suspect.
I'm not sure if Rosmerta was lying to Hermione necessarily but she knows something. It was the way her demeanor changed. In the first part of her conversation with Hermione, she was fine but when Hermione mentioned the pub crawl Ron was supposed to be on, Rosmerta acted like she knew something that Hermione didn't...and not a good something. Her reaction to the pub crawl comment followed by scurrying off said a lot to me. Now as a bar owner, she knows most people and sees a lot of things so maybe she saw him with someone or, like another reviewer mentioned, perhaps his team did, in fact, come by the Three Broomsticks for the pub crawl but he was not there. Maybe she heard one of the teammates make a comment about Weasley cheating on his wife and she simply didn't make the connection until Hermione mentioned that he played for the Canons? I don't know but Rosmerta acted strange. Umm....I can't remember your other question, LOL. I think that Ron is cheating on Hermione because he just acts like a guy that's having an affair. And I could have sworn he made some nasty comment to Hermione in an earlier chapter about him not needing to go elsewhere if she wasn't so cold or something. I need to go back and look! And it wouldn't surprise me. He's not all that much more satisfied with their sex life than she is. Ron is a very selfish guy, despite his attempt at reconcilliation, he just seems guilty.
As for Harry, I can't help feeling sorry for him. Poor guy. He's going to get dumped and his best friends are going to ge divorced and one of his best friends is going to run off to another country. Okay, I have no idea if that's what is going to happen. But it just seems like for everyone to be happy, he's going to be the one to get the shaft. Maybe he can meet some nice girl in the process of all this turmoil that likes vanilla sex only and has a minor in Psychology. I think Hermione should pull out a bunch of those galleons and make a break for it and divorce Ron through owl post. Eh?
    :-)

Just to be contrary, I'm going to say that Ron has hooked up with someone on his Quidditch team . And Lavender is entertaining Fudge, who wants to be a bad bad bad boy.

Actually, I don't want to guess where this is going, because I'm enjoying this serpentine story of yours :) The emotional contortions of the characters -- in particular Hermione -- where they struggle with the relationships they are actually in,, while having this fan-fic fantasy figure just beyond their fingertips... well, hey, that's pretty much a great analogy of fandom, isn't it?

Another wonderful chapter. I'm reading this story over at Sycophant Hex, but I just decided to review here anyway. I love where the story is going and I can't wait for the conclusion. I just thought I'd make a few predictions. I predict the man Lavender is shagging is Ron Weasley, possibly because Lavender wants Ron to let Hermione go or drive her into Calleo's arms. It could also be Harry Potter, though I can't help but think that it would be awesome if Harry wound up with Anne. She's perfect for him. Pretty, relatively stupid, and likes sex a lot. She'll give him children, I'm sure. Well, however it turns out, I look forward to the next chapter with bated breath. Post soon.

Hey - I've just read the other reviews and everyone else seems to know that Lavender's mystery boyfriend is Ron! I must have missed something as I didn't realise - but it makes sense, I must say. What does Lav see in him?

A really enjoyable chapter. Liked Miss Anne (especially the vegetable thing), the ex-client with the voodoo mask and the possibility that Hermione's cursed earrings are partly responsible for her troubles. Lavender's mystery boyfriend is intriguing. So is the extra money in the account. And where is Ron? Keep up the good work.

Yep, thought so...Ron's shagging Lavender. Good one! You had me wondering about him for a few chapters, but now his wife can leave him with a clean conscience. I really enjoyed this chapter and the previous one. They were some of the best so far. And could Severus be (gasp!) falling in love with that insufferable know-it-all? YEA!!! :-D
