Too bad Ron is being such a prat! I am guessing he was at Lovely Lavender's house the week he was gone! That would explan so much of what is going on. I wonder how she inserted herself in his life - - - like she did with everyone else in the story! And I have been wondering if she will really let Draco and Snape go when their plans are finalized? Not sure if she would double cross them, but she seems to have a lot of influence in a lot of high places!

Ch 24 - PS - would Ginny object if Hermione and Calleo did fall in love? WHY would Ginny be so interested in saving her brother's marriage???

Ch 24 - how will Hermione get rid of Wonder-Boy at work? Sheesh, she's got nothing nice in her life except Calleo. When will she figure out that she doesn't really want her marriage to continue?? BTW, thanks for the raspberry dressing recipe!

So, I've read this entire story so far and I simply HAVE to tell you now how much I am loving it. It's wonderfully drawn out in a way that makes you WANT what is {hopefully} inevitable. I have recently become more and more interested in the whole Snape/Hermione ships and actually find them quite intriguing. Yours is one of the few stories I've read that I've felt good enough to share with a friend by giving them the sight. You write very well, by the way, and I don't simply mean punctuation and spelling. The way you describe the characters and their feelings concerning things is quite realistic in my mind. Please keep writing. And I hope your baby, if a baby he or she still is at this time, is doing well! ^_^ Have a wonderful day whenever you happen to read this.

Another wonderful chapter. Poor Lavender, I had wondered what had happened to her to make her so cool and quite dispassionate. I hadn't thought it was something so terrible though. Please add Macnair to Moody's wardrobe via a hard kick up the backside with a stiletto heel! I don't know why Ginny is so worried about Hermione getting attached...how can she not see that Sevvie is in the greater danger of being so! I will try and wait patiently for the next chapter and keep reminding myself that you and your betas have lives outside of providing great literature for the masses. :)

Ahh come on now, just a little hint? I believe that she should tell Ginny, maybe at the spa. i know it's extremely hypocritical of her after the way she tore through ginny, but i think that ginny will be accepting, especially since they need her help to escape. i can't wait to see hermione's reaction to this whole plan. makes me curious considering her current behavior. i can see ron becoming an ass again and then severus proposing his plan and hermione BEGGING him to take her with them (mmm, little cliche there!). is it apparent that i'm not rooting for ron in this one. i've never been a big ron fan in canon or fanon. he's just got too much middle child syndrome going on for me. anyways, great chapter. can't wait to see another!
    much love!

Excellent! This is nicely paced and very enjoyable to read. It's easily one of the most well-plotted NC-17 fics I've ever come across, which is refreshing when you consider that PWP seems to be the norm. You're doing a good job of keeping us in suspense and releasing little bits of information at a time. In this chapter, I liked Hermione drinking all that wine (as if she ever would-!), the conversation about her at dinner, the guys quibbling over how to make a cassoulet (yes, I've seen Gigi many times but do not remember that line), and the way she chose flowers based on their meaning. And the last paragraph was hysterical! One of the best chapters so far; great job! :D

Call it intuition. I have a feeling that if not a witch, a wizard perhaps? I just know Ron doesn't love her, Hermione is a means to an end. She is the girl that could help him create the same thing he had growing up. I have a couple of ideas but this is your baby.....

I am loving it though. Post something soon...I am most impatient. ;)

Delighted to find an update today. Loved Hermione's dream. Her subconscious obviously knows who Severus is. Haha - "purple troll's club", indeed. I enjoyed the "language of flowers" stuff and the culinary debate. I'm concerned that Ginny will be determined not to see HG/RW's marriage fail - Ron's her blood relative. I expect that, in the final analysis, Ginny would rather H stay in the marriage and be unhappy than leave Ron and embarrass her family in that way.

Great chapter! As to why I think Ron is cheating...call it a feeling. For some reason I was reminding of a line Shiv wrote --Ron "crap shag" Weasley. Always makes me laugh. And if Mrs Nettleton screams like a distressed bunny, I am pretty sure Ron sounds like a fireplace bellow or some equally annoying breathing-thing. LOL.

I was surprised at what Lavender was holding in. I am curious as to more of her motives. Still loving the Draco/Snape interaction. They work well together and you have them still very much in character. Even though Draco is a bit nicer than normal, I chalk that up to him growing up! Thanks for the update!

I really enjoyed this chapter. The characterizations were excellent and the descriptions vivid. Sneaky, naughty Severus - I like the way he weeded out one more of his clients! And I'm still wondering...just when is Hermione going to snap? ;-) Loved it, Betz! Keep up the good work.

Another brilliant chapter, Betz! I really liked the dinner w/ Severus, Draco, and Ginny. The conversation was wonderfully played out. Very anxious to see what happens next. *clicks her heels and says "two more chapters, two more chapters, two more chapters"* That drawing for ch 25 is absolutely amazing. ;-) I heard a rumor tonight that this story is slated to be in 3 parts and the first part will be longer than Succubus? ~Gin
