Oh my goodness, Chapter 25 was so packed with action and tense moments and near misses and dramatic rescues and DANGER, so very good in all! I can't believe how many intense scenes there were! The entire duel in the club was very good, especially with the discovery of Laurel's witch identity and the fierce desperation in all the conversations. I loved when Draco went completely NOBLE and told Laurel to use his body as a shield..."When I go down" he knew it was not a matter of "if" but of "when" and faced it with dignity. One of those moments that makes you a man (and how cliche did that just sound?) and for a second, my heart stopped and I ACTUALLY thought that you might actually LET HIM DIE, Lorett! Then the rational part of my brain kicked in and said, "This is Lorett writing this story and she is too infatuated with dear Draco to kill him off in one of her stories, for pete's sake!" But I have to admit, I was worried...

Go Girl Power! Laurel kicks butt on so many levels! I loved her little speech to Harry about getting out of there may be the only way to save innocent lives. And what a spell! I noticed that when she and Harry took on the Death Eater together, their spells merged, and then with the Domus spell, Harry's, Laurel's and Draco's spells merged (but ont Ron's) which leads me to believe they have some kind of magical connection to each other. So her attraction to Harry as well as to Draco is starting to make more sense (other than the fact that the girl is not blind and recognizes a fine example of manliness when she sees one). I am also intrigued because if my theory is correct, this means Draco and Harry are connected in some way, too. Curiouser and curiouser...

Oh how I LOVED Maggie! She was in protective mama role and Harry KNEW better than to mess around! He would never have dreamed of dropping his wand if a Death Eater commanded him to, but he instinctively knew that Maggie was far more dangerous at that moment. We know where Laurel gets her Girl Power from, that's for sure. And Maggie's nicknames! "Red and Blondie" (echoing Laurel's for Draco, hee hee) Oh, I am laughing so hard! The whole scene at Laurel's home was tense and dramatic and a very good read.

I like how you hint at Harry's large ego, too. He also recognizes (sometimes) that he is being conceited, but has a few "all about Harry" moments. I liked his little pout about "How is it that I"m always the bad guy, when all I did was show up just like everybody else?" Hmmm...a cutie with a big ego...sound like any other hotties we know? Harry and Draco are so very much alike in many ways! I think Draco is more self aware of his grand ego, though. Pardon me while I think about Draco and Harry and their big...egos...

My favorite standout scene: when Harry says "If he dies, whoever did this is going down. I'll see to it personally." and looks so brutal and fierce that Ron blanches and says, "Blimey, I hope he makes it." Absolutely fantastic!

Laurel, you lucky lucky girl! You get to gaze into all the gorgeous boys' eyes! And the famous bathroom scene anticipation starts. After reading other's comments on that, I am all a-twitter with, dare I confess, IMPATIENCE for that scene! I can't wait! IFOLFA be hanged! (You didn't hear that from me, OK?) What a great chapter! Lots of hugs and smooches and some chicken noodle soup to you, Miss Lorett! I hope you feel better soon!

sorry sorry i didnt review the last chapter but i had a problem with chpater loading AGAIN...bah. damn my ancient computer.

but anyway, i can tell from this chapter that the next one is one of my favorites. i cant wait! but you get yourself all rested up and feeling better. dont worry about anyone but you. after all, a dead author is no good to us, you know? ha, im kidding. laugh if you can. if you cant, that is absolutely horrible and you definitely need to get better. drink lots of water! and if you get sick of water or water doesnt taste good try koolaid. maybe thats weird but sometimes when i get sick water TASTES nasty so i get some kool-aid (theyre freaking 10 packets for a dollar) and mix that up cuz its basically flavored water + sugar...gosh i just rambled alot but i think i remember you saying you didnt mind that...

and HAPPY EASTER!!! i wish i could fax you a cadbury egg but it doesnt fit...and then it just gets messy and melts everywhere and before you know it the whole danged fax machine is useless...

    Hello again,

I just finished reading IHTBY and decided to re-read this chappie too. This was by far one of my favorite chapters when I first read it. There's everything! I like the change to the spell too, sounds alot better now.

Slight little thing I noticed, don't know if it was intentional or not but here's what I got.....
    Laurel's wand = red,organge, yellow colours
    Harry's wand = green colour
Draco's wand = possibly blue colours ? I didn't see anywhere where it says the colour coming out of it but combined that would be a colour spectrum, also known as crystal clear white light, also known as PURE light, or the "light side". Don't know if I'm really going anywhere with it but ya know. Plus, together the colour of Harry and Laurel's light was gold combined so will she be possibly sorted into Gryffindor house???? Just my over-reactive mind seeing things again, lol. Maybe you can use some of that in the story if it hadn't been intented in the first place. Just another possible clue to my theory that they are the three keys.

Anyhow, how was THAT for an analysis????? Now, on to my other favorite scene in this story.... the bathroom, oh some hot Harry goodness. I mean, why just have Draco when you can have Harry too? I'm thinking a threesome in the end..... Oh I can dream! Also can't wait for the library scene.... both between laurel/DM and HP/DM..... oh the goodness of it all!

So, hope to see more up soon! hugs,

    ~Jenn

This chapter was great!! I love action not as much as romance though! You had a bit of both right in there!!! I loved it! I know I keep saying it but I got really involved for a moment and totally ignored whoever I was speaking to on MSN!!! I hope they're still my friend!! Hee hee! I'm sure they will be. I've just realised that I use exclaimation marks a lot. I'm sorry I didn't realise I was such an enthusiastic person!!!

Anyway the e-mail alert I got from you cheered me up because I've had a crappy week. And I've been feeling down all day. I love reading your story because I get so lost in it that I forget all the rubbish that's going on around me and totally immerse myself in whatever's going on in The Three Keys! Can't wait for you're next chapter!!!

    Love and hugs

So now the fun really starts.
Dude. Why didn't she just pull out her wand and yell "me witch, me help" instead of all that "you don't understand" blah blah blah.
That was nice of T-N-T to wait for her even if they were worried their parents would be angry AND probably didn't grasp the severity of the situation. Like me. What's going on? Death Eaters have just waltzed in and are actually killing people?
Now, what I DEFINITELY like about Laurel as opposed to Hermione is her reaction to Draco's punching Tad. That "wow." That's good. That's what normal girls would do. For some reason, whenever I read similar situations in D/Hr fanfics, Hermione gets MAD at Draco for beeting someone up out of jealousy.
Hot kiss. How random. Draco certainly just takes what he wants...though...they have both made it perfectly clear that they want each other.
That was sorta funny, him getting her address when he's so sure he's gonna die. Oh well, I guess it's something to look forward to AND something to get her to shut up and leave.

Harry Potter is so cute too. Besides the whole skinny thing. But green eyes and black hair...mm...really hot. Hotter than blond and blue...but Draco's coloring is too unusual to fit into the usual blond and blue category.
When the heck are they gonna get out of this club? Wouldn't the pounding music be bothering them by now?
I like that Draco tried to call them friends. I can just imagine him choking on the word.

Hmm...my favorite part? Hum...I guess the part where Draco is looking at Tad so angrily. I mean...he was totally into Laurel's hips moving against his and then, all of a sudden, he gets himself distracted by some Muggle guy who's on the other side of the club? He's a little vengeful, isn't he?
Oh...I just remembered from a couple chapters back...the guy fondling Draco's ass. Haha. That was weird and kind of funny. Haha...just imagine, some Muggle grabbing Draco's ass. hahahaha...does it happen often? Jeez...that's really funny all of a sudden.
You know what I just thought? What if SNAPE got that sort of attention!? HAHAHA! Goodness.
Really, what made you think of that when you wrote it?

Wow. So she didn't even NOTICE Harry? Harry, the reason she got herself mixed up with someone like Don to begin with?
Anyway...yay for a good dancer. That's one thing I like about Laurel that Hermione probably doesn't have.
Good chapter. It was just weird that she didn't notice Harry.

No, no...I wouldn't blame Draco for being hormonal. He obviously comes from a very hormonal family. He can't help it.
The conversation between Harry and Draco in this chapter was really STRANGE! It was weird the way they just wouldn't say anything for a long time while they checked Laurel out. That's how friends behave, holding off conversation to check people out, not whatever the hell they are. I know they're not enemies or anything, but they were having a very serious conversation. I'd blame it on Laurel's being very distracting, but their attention seemed to sometimes be wholy on her, sometimes completely on the topic on hand.
    Anyway...classic Draco line here:

    "What's his plan?"
Hahaha...that line is so stupid, so funny, so frustratingly true. Those two can be such...what did you call them? Blithering idiots? Something like that, yes.
What I liked best about this chapter is the fact that before Draco even spoke to Harry and Ron, he was reassessing the way he thought of them. He thought they turned out pretty well in Muggle clothing. I like that he's able to change his mind not just about the whole blood and loyaltly issue but change his mind about how he perceives Harry and Ron too.
Good point about Harry thinking clearly under pressure. He doesn't always think clearly when he's angry...or is does he become angry because he doesn't always think clearly (I dunno, look at book five)? BUT his brain always manages to get him to do the right things in challenging situations.

GOD do they finally meet in the next chapter?
Gee...again, I wonder if Draco and Laurel were meant to be together? Haha...she's already fallen (off her little vanity bench) for him so I guess so.
Laurel seems really bored being stuck around the house. She needs a hobby. Besides the piano.
