Great chapter, excellent suspense. I can't wait to see what all Narcissa has planned for Lucius with Snape. And then you added a very nice twist of Maggie having connections with not only Snape but it seems a very serious connection with Lucius, very interesting! I really hope that Ginny, Laurel and Draco show up in the next chapter unhurt and unscathed. Although that may be too much to ask.

I know from your yahoo group that the majority of members prefer Hermione and Draco together (shaking head just don't get the appeal personally), but a few of us included me are cheering for Ginny. I love Ginny's character and the person she is becoming in canon. I know my personal reason is that I feel more connected to her than to Hermione, who personally gets on my nerves unless she is being taken to task by Snape in Fanfiction, then she is quite fun. The reason I am telling you this is to ask, please do not make Ginny a mediocre character. I know and have accepted that Draco is going to be with Laurel and happen to like the idea, because I like your character, but please let someone be interested in Ginny (not Neville, Harry would be okay, even Blaise). I am asking this because I can

Darling Lorett! I absolutely LOVED it! It was so nice to read something with real plot. I had been wondering about Narcissa for a while. And I'm even more curious now. A black heart? I have this annoying feeling that I should go back and read some old chapters to find out what the black heart is and does, am I right?

The Lucius / Draco confrontation.... I can only imagine how excited you are to write it. I know it's gonna be wonderful. No matter what happens in canon, this blond family is one of my favorites. And I have to say that I was so excited to know that even in canon, there is some sort of Narcissa/Snape story.

You've made a thrilling come back. I must say I was sincerely preparing myself for some sort of fill-up chapter, while you got the hang of it again... But NO! You completely surprised me. Good for you!

I'll be waiting for next chapter really impatiently. Hurry up, lady!

Seriously though, I feel as if this chapter is a turning point on a subliminal level.

Old ties reunite.. but face the consequences of their previous dissolution.
Some ties..never dissolved...but true intentions were never declared
New ties...we assume are gearing up. As if the past is attempting to repeat itself.

"Do not judge Draco by the sins of his father...." hmm... only a woman would know why another woman would do that. Be so quick to judge.

Ah, the heartbreak. WONDERFUL installement. Theories abound!

Hey Lorett!!

YAY! A new chapter!! *claps and whoops* I've been looking forwards to reading a new chapter of yours for aaaages and now it's here! As soon as I got my e-mail alert I stopped everything I was doing and came straight over here to see what was going on! I'm so happy that you're back with it and I'm excited that it's all new material from now on!! I bet you feel... I dunno... refreshed to be writing new chapters? And let me tell you now you did not dissapoint honey!

I love it!!! Absolutely brilliant! You have such a descriptive writing style that I get hooked on your words. It's like I can't stop reading because if I did then I'd explode with anticipation, wanting to know what happens next!! I don't know whether that's the right way to explain it but, hopefully, you understand what I mean! (I know what you're thinking... 'That Annie and her random ramblings'. Hee hee!) From the content of this chapter I feel we have some very delightful and exciting surprises in store for us and I just cannot WAIT!!! *squeals and jumps up and down clapping hands*

There was so much going on in this chapter that I just do not know where to start... erm... *ponders* Let's begin with Sevvie and Magnolia! I'm loving their banter! Even though they know that they're friends they seem to hate eachother and I love that contrast because they just don't know where they stand with eachother! I think they might have spent a lot of time in their school days trying to figure eachother out and when they didn't get anywhere they just gave up and started arguing all the time. Some of their relationship reminds me of the one our Draco (SAVE DRACO!) and Hermione have. I mean the way they talk to eachother with such intelligent but childish words just to get one up on the other. In that respect they're the same, although I'm getting the feeling from this chapter that Maggie was NOT a Gryffindor... although I may be wrong! And what is going on with Maggie and Lucius?!?! I cannot WAIT to find out about that little piece of information!

Now about the whole Lucius trying to kill our Draco (see how I keep calling him our Draco? Because he is ours after all!!) thing. I think it was deliberate. I've been watching the 4th season of the TV programme '24' (Got the boxset yesterday and I LOVE it!) and there is a similar situation going on on there. A father who is so dedicated to their cause see's his own son as a liability to that cause and needs to get rid of him to make sure nothing goes wrong. Some people are brainwashed into thinking that nothing, or no one else matters but that one thing and that's all that they see. So when Lucius saw his only son trying to jeopardise everything he stands for he saw red and wanted him to pay for betraying him and his cause. Anyway, enough of me going on with myself...

Awww poor Snapey! I can totally see him pining after Narcissa and she wants him too it's just that she's trapped in a loveless, evil marriage that she can't do anything about it! I feel so sorry for her. I bet she was forced into marrying Lucius to keep the 'pure' bloodline going. Although, I can imagine her loving him in a certain way. Maybe when they were first starting out it wasn't so bad. But she's stuck now and she doesn't know what to do!! I bet she could blast Lucius into oblivion with her powers but she can't because they've been locked away for so long... *sighs* Poor her!!

Anyway, Please save me ring side seats (as close to the stage as you can get!) for the Malfoy 'bad boy' rumble! I'm so excited to see what happens! Oh and towards the end of this chapter you said that Snape thought that... 'Something bad was happening; he could feel it. He just hoped he would be able to shield Draco from whatever retribution Lucius was surely working on before it was too late.'... Well it is too late Sevvie!!! Go and help our Draco!!! He's in trouble!!! *is scared*

I am so happy. If I didn't know that Laurel was a half blood, I would have thought that she was Snapes, by the way Severus and Maggie were fighting. So when the four of them were in school, was it Severus/Narcissa, and Maggie/Lucius ? Thats just what I got from it, maybe I'm wrong. I can't wait to read about Lucius and Draco, and if the two girls are going to help Draco.

Goodness! Lengthy much? . . . FANTASTIC story L! Well worth the time it takes to catch up . . . all thirty eight chapters of it . . . I must say that I too enjoy your Lucius . . . I'm a big fan of Jason Isaacs playing the part and I can just picture that deathly glare every time. Love it . . . Draco? WOW! You're right, his ballsieness is incredible . . . You come up with some great lines for that kid. . . . Harry is delish, naturally. . . I think it's hilarious that the boys are feeling weird things for basically every girl in the room, regardless of which one they really want . . . typical boy hormones running rampant . . . and the same goes for the girls. . . Ginny is certainly a surprise . . . although I really don't want her to be a skanky type of girl who uses Draco just to get her fix while she waits for Harry to come around . . . I think she's got stronger discipline than that. . . For an original character, Laurel kicks arse for sure. She's got depth - personality . . . most OCs are like, straight out of the OC, like for sure. . . dime a dozen blondes . . . Can I get a 'whoot whoot' for brunettes?! . . . Ron is fabulous as well. I'm ready for some Hermione though. I think she'll be an interesting character to add to the mix . . . especially due to her less than savory feelings for Malfoy . . . Ooooooh the possibilities for hostilities! lol . . . Anywhoo, love the story doll face - very well written! Not too wordy, it's just enough to keep the story flowing without making me skip to the dialogue (because I do do that on a lot of stories) . . . looking forward to that next chapter you're working so diligently on . . . love n hugs!

About time, eh? Many miles and blisters later, I'm back in civilization, ready to finally give you that review you deserve. I hope you don't mind overmuch that it's short - I have two of my friends staying with me for three weeks, and I rarely get time to myself between playing the good host and considerate friend. So, I'll try to lob all my thoughts in a nutshell....

Wow. Daddy Death, aptly named. Not exactly happy, is he? I feel sorry for him in a way, seeing as he truly is all alone now. It seems that he doesn't have many friends in the Death Eater circle (who would trust the bastards anyways?), and now his family has entirely disintegrated. Not what you'd call a good day. Still, Lucius has never seemed like that type who relied on anyone but himself. Now, here's a question for you: Narcissa said she loved Lucius, but does Lucius love Narcissa? Of course, this isn't what you'd call fabulous timing, seeing as she just left him and he's in a murderous state of mind, but you still have to wonder whether he did, whether he loved anyone but himself. If I was a true romantic, I would say he's so incensed because he loves her, but I think I feel more that he's just angry because she insulted him by leaving him.

Now we take a moment to reflect on WHY she left. Because she's afraid of what she needs to do (kill him, that is)? Because she needs to rationalize the upcoming murder? Because she wants to draw his attention away from Draco? Because she wants to see him fall, in ruins, to the bottom of wizarding society? I wonder.... (By the way, you misspelled "foul" as "fowl" when referring to her letter. He he.)

And man, is our Draco suave! I can just see him in Muggle clothes: candy cigarette and black leather with a switchblade stuck in the back of his boot. Bad boy all for good, eh? And with such a noble cause, too! Giving the Order a third of his fortune was brave, if a bit selfish. Still, that selfishness can hardly go wrong, excepting Harry's reaction to being Malfoy's second. Ack, I don't think he'll be too pleased - well, he would be gratified, which is precisely the problem. Goodbye, peace! Goodbye, quiet! Hello, suspicion! I s'pose those rings showed up in the right spot, because at least they showed a bit of goodwill from his arch nemesis.

Ooh, here's a crazy theory before I leave you: what if Blaise is really working for Voldy? I mean, Voldemort's not dumb by any means, and I highly doubt he bought Lucius' story. Or at least, if he trusts it in the slightest, he would have his own spies confirm it. That would explain the Quorums at Blaise's house (Blaise is not indebted to tell the whole story), at the very least. Plus, it would provide a piece of really cool plot-work. Unless the rings have some sort of protection against betrayal? That by being blood brothers, Blaise can never betray Draco? It seems that by any means, Blaise is stuck on the Dark Side until he can figure out a good escape as spectacular as Draco's, if that's possible. Ah...I love imagining unlikely possibilities. Still, not ENTIRELY improbable, is it? Hm??

Hey Lorett!

Sorry I'm so late in reviewing! I've had such a busy last couple of days that I've just not had the chance! But I'm here now and that's all that matters right?! I feel like I haven't spoken to you for aaaaages! (That's probably because I haven't! Hee hee!) Lots has been going on with me. I've been put onto another job at my work. I'm a greeter in the supermarket now as well as a checkout chick! I'll be greeting the customers, making announcements about special offers and dressing up according to different events! Which means I get to dress up all Harry Potter-ish when the new book comes out!!! YAY! I had my first day of training today and I loved it! It was my birthday last week on Wednesday. I turned 20 years old and I had a great time! I went out to my favourite theme night with a load of my friends! We had such a great laugh!!

Anyway, review time...

Broody Lucius! I can see where the attraction is because I'm all for the bad boy (or in this case man) thing! I wonder what made him that way? I mean he can't have just been mean all of his life. There has to have been a time when he was nice. I bet he had to be all romantic to end up with Narcissa. She seems like one of those confident girls that needs to be wined and dined to be won over. Lucius seems to have so much inner turmoil, no wonder Draco is all messed up inside! I mean he seems to be mad at everything!! I'm a great believer that there is a bit of good in everyone and that you just have to find the right person to draw it out... I don't know where I'm going with this really! I'm just babbling, as per usual! You have to be used to it by now!!! Hee hee! Ooohhh... Lord Draco Malfoy *shivers*, that just makes him all the more appealing to me! Bless him for acting all macho with the blood quill infront of Ezra and the when he got outside the said he was hungry and exhausted! I just wanted to give him a big squishy hug! He goes through a lot does our Draco, and he's oh so young! Poor him! *hugs Draco and pats him on the head*

Right well that's all I've got to say! I cannot WAIT to see what happens next! I bet you're sooooo excited to post your brand new chapter up here for us! (Hopefully we'll see some more Blaise with an Annie character draped over his arm! Hee hee!!!)

Hello hello!

Well, it's finally that time!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe that a new chapter is upon us.... I'm waiting with baited breathe... LOL Seriously though, good on ya! This chappie was definetly a good one, I remember it made me drool a little for Lucius too! mmmm, Malfoy.... ahhhhhhh..... *followed by some graphic thoughts* ANYWAYS!!!

So, I can't wait till Draco comes out, the little fight ensues, and Laurel and Ginny come to the rescue! You'd better get that up soon! Oh, and I almost forgot, I missed reviewing the last chapter but had to add................... BLAISE is my backup lover incase I can't have Draco all to myself...... which since it is your Draco you have first pic.... SO I GET HIM ATLEAST!!!

I absolutely love this story I just found it today and read the whole thing it one sitting. I love the plot and now im impatientaly waiting for an update. Im so excited to see what will happen next.
