Reviews for The Uneventful Story

I read AND reviewed the latest update last night and it was a BRILLIANT and LONG review for your reading pleasure and when I hit "review" it sent me to "Welcome to our daily moment of downtime..." Grrrrr. So, Let's see if I can recapture what I said.

It is the humor, hands down. That's why I read it. Even when you dip really low into dark subject matter, there's always something that makes me laugh out loud, and loudly, or snicker, or snort, or whatever. It's entertaining, the way you tell stories. This is probably why you have 400 plus reviews, babe. You're brilliant.

You really made the war come alive for me in this chapter. I can't remember the exact line, but I really like when you wrote that St. Mungo's was more like a comfortable place to die. You give solid flavor to the war that was exploding around them with grit, horrible displays of cruelty, and boredom. Not everyone battles every battle with heroic blaze and you captured that realistic twist flawlessly in my opinion.

Draco is worrying me. I am somewhat in Harry's shoes now. Draco is off his rocker and Hermione is in grave danger. The 'I can save him's and the 'he needs me's are driving me crazy. Hermione fell into The Trap. I don't know how you're going to pull this one together, but you know how to tell how to tell one helluva story! By the way, is this going to be a happy ending story...?

I can really see Draco acting the way he did when he battled his father the last time. I really believed the cruelty and the inane banter. The torture was no surprise and the way Draco switched into 'cheery mode' didn't either. Great job on that entire scene.

I caught the "Uneventful" bit, lol. Cheeky.

    How was your trip?

Happy writing and look forward to reading more!

    Joie,
    Gloria

P.S. I did dance. No, really, I did. I did the Cabbage Patch. And then I did it in reverse.

hm well ok this is what i have observed so far. your writting is good compared to other fanfictions i've read and has a quirky unique style. however as i read more and more it doesnt seem very consistent. i think you might've mentioned this before in your a/n. i tend to like the begining half more because the relationship of h/d is portayed in a lighter mood and was going in a definitive direction and the characterization is more realistic or down-to-earth. then suddenly the second half just completely cut off the first half changing everyhting completely down to the mood, characterization, and even the plot...i dont know where this is supposed to go anymore because it seems like there are actually two stories not one. i dont get why you tried to portay H as someone who is independent and smart in the beggining and then in the flashback have her as the opposite and she supposedly forgot everything that happened in the past and turn to this independent, smart person.and onto draco you portayed him as someone who is suave, confident, nice(u get my drift) and all the while he knew he was this evil person? to sum it up the way the characters are portayed, to me, is always...questionable? does that make sense? well i hope this counts as constructive feedback. hope you dont see me as some lame stuck up person; i only take time to give reviews to those that deserves it and whose stories i like =)

This story is easily one of the best ones I have ever read. I really am just amazed with each new chapter. The way the story has evolved and unfolded is really, truly brilliant. I look forward to updates and am never disappointed. WOW, how did they go from where they are now to the couple joking about shoes and cuff links? I know, they had a bit of help with their memories being taken care of, but damn, it's going to be good! Thanks again for the half hour of sheer enjoyment!

What part of this is horrible? I absolutely love this fic.

Okay...where to start. I really think you have captured how seemingly suddenly so many women find themselves in abusive situations. While I feel empathy for Draco, my heart bleeds for Hermione and how she's drwoning in this abomination of a "relationship." If only he would get help. Yet, even if he did, there is no guarantee that the two would be happy, is there? It is one of the saddest of connundrums. I cannot help wishing women would learn that you are not able to change or save someone who does not desire it. You only end up changing or losing yourself instead. Arrggghh - the frustration of it all.

You are sheer genius in your writing. It is emotive and just wonderful. Can't wait for more. Okay - enough gushing.

I wouldn't pass up a free trip to Japan either. I've had several colleagues visit and I am so jealous! Hope it was wonderful.

I just wanted to say i love this story, but the last two chapters are making me crazy. I hope your little hints at his mark are going to lead to some explinations. But you do write him good as a nutcase, I'm just ready to get back to the present, with nice-slightly cracked-waiting to be cured -draco And blaise wtf i am at a loss there to

Good lord woman you know how to pack a wallop!!! You've done a masterful job with Draco and all his craziness and manipulation of Hermione. Can't imagine what she must be feeling inside, he probably keeps her on her toes just so she can't even begin to sort that mess out. When all the flashbacks are done, what's she gonna do with him? Having been through all that could she possibly forgive him? Do I even want to forgive him for that? Hmmm...guess we'll have to wait and see. Fab chapter, absolutely cannot wait to see what happens next. ^.^Cat

Wow. This story just keeps on getting better and better. Wow. I love how you are unfolding Draco's unhingement and Hermione's slow brainwashing. It's so devious and gradual and frightening. You actually *see*, in realistic terms rather than unbelievable horror movie cliches, how a strong, smart and independent woman becomes a shell of herself, a slave to one man. I cannot believe she lets him hit ler like that! Hermione! Well, I can believe it as you write it so perfectly. I shudder to think about what will happen now that the battle is over. Is this when some of those snippets about the hands and whatnot come into play? And what happens with Blaise? Oh god this is dark and frightening and yet I crave it. What have you done to me?? I LOVE THIS STORY. I hope Draco can be cured of this horrible condition and I am so glad that Harry and Snape erased/dampened Hermione's memories so that she could move on and function. But - oh. Oh my.

Gods! That was brilliant! I was beginning to curse you for not updating sooner, but now you're entirely forgiven! The scene where Draco forces Hermione to write the letter...Please don't forget to include humorous dialogues in the next chapters, for they are definitely one of your story's best assets. And I beg you one more time - I know it may sound pathetic - make it as nasty and dark as you wish, I enjoy tha side of your story very much - but please, give us a happy ending. Not soapy, but happy still!

    Gods!
It took me 7 hours to read all 17 chapters of your story and I loved it! I even sacrificed sleep just to read it.. Hehehe. Great job writing the this fanfiction. :)
I love the way you inserted the humor... it wasn't that slapstick comedy-ish, but something that is not too corny especially since your fic turned darker and dark as each chapter progresses. I especially love guessing your plot! The sad thing is, I was never right! Hehehehe. There was a chapter where in the author's note you said there was some sort of foreshadowing... which was exactly what I was thinking about prior to reading that author's note.
I love Draco/Hermione! I love their witty banter! And few fanfic writers succeed into making their love-hate relationship successful without being too careless on make the two of them out of character.
Well I also love the way you integrated your story and created a whole new universe... the way you wrote was something different... like with flashback of some sort without even saying "flashback!"
    Er, yeah.
And oh my! Your disclaimers are pretty funny as well... I just have to add that! You own Hary Poter, I envy you!!!!! :D
oh, for the constructive comments, or somethign of that sort, might I point out something on the fourth line in the first chapter, where you had spelled Gryffindor as 'Griffindor.' I know it's just a typo, but I would just want to let you know that. :)
I am typing down each thought that comes from my head from all the information I just read from your story. And wait. I have to say this again: I love your story! I never stay up all night for a fanfic (with the exception of Draco Trilogy), but with yours, I just can't not finish it.... it will get stuck in my head the whole time and I wouldn't be able to concentrate on my school work because it may seem that fanfics are way more important than college. Haha.
Oh yes. I think I have a long enough comment now... hehehe... Well I'm very sorry I blabbed too much.. but I just really loved your story and I wish and hope and pray that you had a nice trip to Japan (i envy you, and i wish i also have a rich auntie who loves to spend money, but noooo.) Anyway, I'm hoping you would add more chapters in the very near future.... I can't wait!
And oh, I think this might not be the last comment you'll get from me. :)

I will be waiting for your next update. :)
