    Shiloh:

I too, live in West Texas, and wholeheartedly agree with your author's notes from Chapter 8 of this fanfic. Please do not ever let anyone tell you that you don't know what you are talking about. I too, own horses, but grew up in Southwest Kansas on a cattle ranch/farm. Horses are one of my personal loves, and your renditions of Hermione's horses, are spot-on, as they do vary in size from Miniature ponies to the Clydes and Percheron draft horses that we are all so familiar with. Although I have no personal connection to Native Americans, I would never be so rude as to tell anyone what it right and proper, or how a certain behavior is unseemly, so your response to your reviews for this fanfic are spot-on. Please keep writing and entertaining us all. Thank you again for all the many hours that I have spent reading your fanfics. Please share with me your web-site, as I can no longer find it. Maybe I am just looking in the wrong place, but I would love to read more of your fanfiction and/or books that you would care to share with me. Again, thanks for all the entertaining hours spent in the annals of your imagination.

BTW did you write a sequel to tell Dark Feather and Remus's story? It would be nice to read it.

I think this is a positivly wonderful story! I very much so enjoyed the new life of Herminone in America. I also find the characture of Dark Feather both interging and a very nice thing to fit into this story. I loved the Severus-Horse, the description of him sounds beautiful! A pure black horse with white mane and tail, I wonder if horses naturaly are colored as such, it seems very peculiar if it is, I have never seen one as such coloration, then again I ahve not been exposed to very many horses.... Anyways, back to the story. I find that both Herminone and Severus seemed perfect togethor in this fanfic, them just seemed ment to be togethor. I am most certainly looking forward to reading toher works by you!

About your comment on only getting negative feedback once the story was betaed... I think that sometimes people won't even bother to leave a review if something doesn't appeal to them at all, but if they think something is good and they think it could almost be excellent they will fixate on whatever they think the problem is. I don't know whether that is what is happening here, as I haven't read the reviews, but it is worth bearing in mind that pretty good stories get negative feedback too.

    Nice story BTW

Just found this one again and ya know what? I think it's a sweet story!
Lots of folks just aren't happy unless they're picking other folks' stuff apart. I've seen too much of that to not have noticed it. But honestly, I loved the story. Personally, I would like to see more of "what happens next" with Remus and Dark Feather, but that's up to you since it's your story ^__^
One of my favorite lines, to those that have the ability to tell stories (because I don't), is don't let someone else tell you what's right or wrong. If you get some advice and see where it might be beneficial, that's one thing, but nit-pickin' over how tall a horse should be in a FAN-FIC??? The bloody thing could be 30 or 40 hands and if you said that it was so, well then, that makes it so! I think maybe folks have forgotten Paul Bunyon??
And by the way Texas ^_~ I understand from horses and farms and ranches myself (Okie here... stuck in Arizona, but still an Okie!).
Anyway, you just keep doing what you've been doing and I'm sure there are those of us that will keep reading it ^_~
