Yes, telling this tale from Hermione's mother's point of view was the perfect angle. I am relieved by the end that Snape appears obsessed with Hermione, Hermione in love with Snape. I can understand her mother - she has to endure the world the pure bloods are inflicting on muggles - but I don't sympathize with her. You write such beautiful short character sketchs, I just love your stories.

Enjoyed reading this again, but am I correct that you've ehanced/changed bits of it? I saw on your LJ you are thinkingof writing an SS POV to this, I must encourage you to do so. Love the POV and the tone of this fic.

What a novel point of view. We don't usually get to see things from the Muggle perspective. Thanks for such a wonderful story!

Wow! Horribly realistic, yet fascinating, good job at the mother's conveyed hatred for snape. Great little bit you have here. I hope to read more from you in the near future.

Very well written, if dark. I'd love to see some other sides of the story, I hope you continue.

I've read this before and thought it was Great! But after HPB is has a prophetic quality about it. Thanks for re-posting this fic!

I read this a while back on your personal site . . . I really liked it, along with one of my all time favorites, "Tyger! Tyger!". It strikes me as funny that most people who write HG/SS fics write him as being "redeemed" for his past (including my own fics), yet in your story, we see something that is much more in keeping with canon. (Although I guess we won't know the truth until the next book, eh?). I know you wrote this before HP and the HBP came out, but how prophetic! This scenario seems more likely than anything "fluffy" that could be written. Anyway, I'm glad you posted this and it is good to hear from you. Occasionally, I check your personal site to see if you've written anything new. I hope you continue to write, I think you're very talented.

Very nicely done, and very unusual, seeing through a muggle mother's eyes. I would dearly love to see a companion piece to this done from either Snape or Hermione's POV, seeing exactly what happened between them in those private moments in the forest that made her change her mind. I loved the footprint part as well - taken from the old werewolf legend that your can become one by drinking dew from their footprints? Very inventive, and very smooth.

Wow. Incredibley powerful and moving. I have said this in a review to another author - the quality of story coming out since HBP is wonderful. It's almost as though a shock wave has moved through and refreshed the genre. Thank you.
