Reviews for Sleepwalking with the Damned

What a good story, so sad in a way, and so terribly harsh in it's depiction of Harry's defilement. Realistic characters, as you always write, honest and harsh with no fluff whatsoever this time to lesser the impact.
What I liked best is how there's also something so sad in it. The way both Malfoys but especially Draco react towards Harry makes you hope somewhere in the back of your mind that there's more then just hatred there, a fascination that in different circumstances would not neccesarily have to be destructive alone were they not on opposite sides of a war, makes you hope against hope that they will show some mercy somehow. I guess in the end they do, since they let him live, but it's a very bitter mercy, not something to be grateful about at all, and you just feel delusional about some flicker of hope, projection of humanity, while circumstances and characters are so that there is no other outcome at all that would be realistic (instead of the even worse outcome: death). I guess that's the very nature of non-fluff, to write the characters through to an almost inevitable end? Even as a reader i can feel how 'wrong' a different outcome would have been, so i guess that for a writer that feeling can only be stronger. So despite the sadness the story made me happy on the level of where the behaviour fits (your interpretation of-) the characters. I think you're extremely good at that and it's fast making you one of my favorite writers.

Wow. So good; in a bad sort of way. ;) Very well written. Poor Harry! :(
