Ch.11 - Oh wow! That picture is great! She did an excellent job!!! Yeah, that does look like the Marcus I pictured, coolness!

Anyways, the chapter. Oooooooooo Marcus in this chapter really really really reminded me of a guy I had been seeing last year. To put it simply, I am no longer with this guy. I broke it off with him because he was getting too obsessive and demanding with me, and I need my space! GAH! At one point, where Marcus wanted to rub his hands together, and then when he was buttering it up to Hermione about him being really sorry and blah blah blah..... omg I was seething and writhing in my seat! It brought back all my memories and feelings and emotions when I was with that one guy, and it made me feel horrible and confused all over again!

Ok, so you are prolly like wtf is that bad? No no no! It's actually a good thing because making me feel like that means you have brought out the character so well in Marcus that he's practically real and all that. A lot of writers have a hard time making their new characters believable and interesting and non-cliche, but you are doing an excellent job and I really admire your effort to make it as such. It's so funny because Marcus is more of a dirty snake than Severus! BLAH! Hmmm.... ok Severus is the good snake, and Marcus is the ugly snake who wants to eat all the other snakes, hahahaha! Errr.... if that made sense, haha!

Anyways, Hermione is going to realize what she's getting herself into when it's almost too late to back out unscathed. And that is actually a very good thing, because as intelligent as she is, she is still young and un-wsie about all of life's struggles. She's going to have to learn the hard way, just like I did and I'm sure many other women have. A man can be charming at the right time but undeneath he's just a pile of dirt! So I do hope Hermy learns a lesson, but I hope Snape will as well. He needs to open up more or he WILL lose her at some point. Relationships can't work with out communication, and I'm so glad oyu play with that theme! Ok, as always, excellet read! Hope there is more soon! Toodles!

**I might have to try out some fanart for your fic too if I get the chance, haha! Yeah, I'm that addicted! First I need to finish mine though, hahaha! I'll see how it goes!**

You know I tink that this is good for Hermione to stretch her legs a bit but I really want to scratch that man's violet eyes right out of his head!!!

Great story. Saw your posting on WIKTT and have read everything you listed here. Love the dynamic you've created between Hermione and Severus. I wonder if Marcus will stay as detached as he currently is, given Hermione's dream. Love, love, love your version of Sex-God-Severus.

I think I'm going to be in the minority here but I have no sympathy for Hermione here. She wants to play while at the same time Severus must kowtow to her and wait for her to decide he's what she wants. Meanwhile she gets to go on "dates" with Marcus. One doesn't go on dates with friends - does she realize that? She gets to see other men and Severus has to sit back and watch. And now getting vindictive - isn't she doing exactly what Severus did? She is no better. If she's dumb enough to think Marcus just wants to be friends then she deserves to lose Severus. She places all the blame on Severus. Did she ever ask Severus to take her on a date? No. It seems to me he has treated her pretty damn good all these years and this is how she is going to repay him. By playing with another man in front of the man she supposedly loves. Blackmailing him basically. I really don't know if I will continue reading this - you have made Hermione into a very shallow woman.

Ooh, that is an excellent drawing of Marcus! I love this chapter! Poor Severus. He must be feeling really depressed right now.
Looking forward to reading the next chapter!

Ch 11 - Marcus and Severus plotting? You're forgetting someone - "Then her horns came out. She could be a vindictive little witch when she wanted to be." Hermione can indeed be vindictive (see Rita Skeeter - trapped in a jar, Dolores Umbridge - sent to centaurs, Marietta Edgecombe - 'sneak' written on her face), so I think Hermione could end up plotting something herself. Maybe she might think about "using" Marcus to show Severus that she can live without Severus. I wouldn't put it past her! And congrats on getting your first fanart - it looks wonderful, thanks to your inspirational characters!

Women take back men who beat them and abuse them more often than you think. Sometimes these men get help or change, sometimes they don't. There is love between Severus and Hermione and love is powerful, it can supersede a lot of things. This is the way she chooses to handle it. It's a decision women in the real world have made as well. Oftimes not the wisest choice, but there it is.

I'm sorry I know you plan to put Hermione and Severus back together, but I can't help seeing the rape overs and over again. In real life would a woman be able to take back a lover that raped her ever again? I don't think so...I think you ruined the chances of putting them back together by having him rape her and then leave her on the stone floor. If he had been remorseful after it happened or stopped himself in the middle then maybe I can see her eventually forgiving him, but the
way he left her was just ugly and something that a common thug would of done to a whore.

Wow! I was waiting all day to get home from work to read this and I was not disappointed. Go Hermione! And hope Severus can get his act together, but not before Marcus takes Hermione dancing ;)

Ch. 10 was wonderful in that Hermione asserted her desire not to be a doormat. So, where do we go from here??? I'm dying to see how the story will progress....
