I absolutely LOVE this chapter. All the angst and fighting, ending in this spectacular culmination of affection and realizations was magnificently written. Well done!

What an amazing story!!! Definitely the best I've read on this site. It has no weak moments. The evolution of Draco's character is absolutely convincing, the style - beautiful, the end - perfect. I would love to read other stories written by you and I hope you'll make use of your gift.

This was an amazing story. I read fanfiction like an addict and usually suffer through some mediocre chapters to get the to the end just to know what happened. But your story was completely refreshing. I read it over four days, enjoying each and every chapter. It was all so well written and so convincing that you just want to cry along with the characters through the emotional roller coaster of a plot.

    Amazing Amazing Amazing.

Ah, the title explained! I love Draco's advice to Alex. It's interesting to see their life, which is imperfect, but full of love. The story has sometimes been painful to read due to its emotional intensity. I adore your Millicent and Neville.

    Lady Moira,

I am not sure whether I should clap or frown. This D-H relationship is about as twisted as they come. I dated a man on and off whom this Draco reminds me of for about 10 to 12 years. It is called a toxic relationship.

If the man cannot get a hold of himself and maintain some form of level headedness, his love-hate will destroy the woman. The deal is after a period of years, even he doesn't know whether he is going to be able to have a normal relationship.

The obsession does not change. The domination does not cease. The inappropriate reaction to other friends and people who try to get close to the woman does not modify itself. The issue is to what extent does the woman want something healthy in her life. She can always fall back to the man because his persistent desire to have some part in her life will remain. It gets 100x worse when a child is involved because a woman doesn't know whether the child will be as crazy as the father for his inability to be consistently loving or as undecided as the woman for staying and going.

The only way to be healthy in a situation where all the worst things one person can say and do to another person have been said and done is to accept the damage for what it was and to be whole especially when a child is learning both parent's dysfunctional behavior. If the couple can learn how to relate to each other without hurting the other, they may have a chance at something loving. One promise does not guarantee that this will happen.

In your story, Draco's daddy circum to madness and didn't know how to responsibly parent Draco. Where is Draco going to gain the insight and sensibility from? Hermione should not let her fear rule her. She definitely should not have fled London so she could escape Draco's madness when she found out that she was pregnant. She can walk in hope at the same time she keeps herself and her child safe from any excesses Draco may have. It is not crazy to believe she could have a long life with him, but her child's well-being in a stable loving atmosphere should come first.

Either way, if your story made me think through all of that I consider it a success.

Good work. I hope the message of the story doesn't mean Hermione should succeed because she gave herself over to Draco's whims.

    Genna
