Ch 21 - ooh, non-linear thinking! Very smart (and risky) of Severus, to place his trust in Hermione one day becoming a Snape. So now Raucous doesn't have to choose between the two. Barbecued Big Bird for dinner! I'm sure the unicorns would be happy to see that... And will we see the townsfolk again - the innkeeper and her son, etc.?

Sooooo. I'm wondering if the Guardian comes to help past, present, & future Snapes who are binded to the ring. I mean, we can assume that if Snape had a daughter and he died, she got married and took a different last name- that she would be able to bear the ring. This, of course, is speculation. Perhaps for a born Snape this is possible, even with a later changing of the names, however her children would not be born Snapes and therefore could not possess the ring. If the Ring could sense this, then maybe the existance of the Guardian is not linear, and it exists as it is in all times knowing who is a Snape at any given point in time.

If Hermione were to marry Snape, she would be one at some time in history, and the ring would recognize her ... I'm confusing myself. I know what I'm trying to say it's just not coming out the way I want it to. Sorry. I'm done. *cuts self off, enwraps in plastic bubble*

Speculation, of course. Or, if you were still trying to figure out why the ring bound to her so well... *shrugs and plays with hem of shirt*

Evil cliffy but still a very action packed chapter. Yes, Vivaldi is smart enough to knwo when he can't win, but he has won in a way.

I wait impatiently for the next installment, and to see how the Professor reforms.
