Hmm, apparently there are different usages of the phrase. Perhaps this particular usage was an invention of my high school english teacher, although I could be using it incorrectly, it has been a long time since high school. Needless to say, it was meant as a compliment. On another note, I really liked your chapter 2! good job.

Hook Line Sinker, don't worry, it is a good thing. In writing it is when you state your topic then set it up in such a way that readers are caught. They always say the first page of a book is the most important, because if there is no hook then people will stop reading.

Great job! In answer to your question "Hook, line and sinker' is an american slang term that referres to fishing. It really means to be completley taken in by someones joke or misleading comment. That's what happens when us Yanks forget we aren't English ~grin~

Good story so far. What is Snape up to? Inquiring minds and all that. Other than a few grammatical errors your story is awesome. Keep up the good work, and update soon, soon, soon, beta'd or not, I can't wait to see what happens next.
