Oh lord this is one very unhappy Lucius.

I hope you had a great Christmas and will have a lovely New Year. :)

I must say, I quite enjoyed this story. Lucius was very much in character and in keeping with canon and fanon alike. The ending was sweet without being diabetic and the journey to get there just as satisfying. I always thought it would make more sense to have more children when you actually have the funding to take care of them. Lucius' emotional journey was very realistic, going from cold and implacable and to warm and (mostly) fuzzy without that losing that Malfoy charm that we all love about one of our favorite Death Eaters. I did think the bit with Snape and Pamela was a nice touch as Snape wouldn't be exempt from the edict either. Overall, brilliant work. My only regret is that it ended. :)

I like this Lucius, a bit naughtier and less brooding, and a lot Lucius. I can never decide if he is a cold SoB waiting to be thawed out his shell; or a hot, reckless man. I have read this more than once.

Oh my dear la bib ... I had a wonderful time reading this!

The smut was great - the humour was snarky and extremely effective - Hermione's descriptions of Lucius were outstanding, and caused many a belly laugh - and, I felt, quite in keeping with her persona, and personal agenda (well done Hermione!), and the story well paced, very well told, with the development of their relationship, and how they initially were forced into marriage quite believable.

Harry's tactics in using his friend in this way is actually quite a reasonable assumption, considering he would have learned the principles of his strategies from Dumbledore, who was quite ruthless regarding decisions made "for the greater good". It actually says a lot for his absolute trust and high opinion of Hermione as being strong, intelligent and utterly loyal, even if viewing her as a useful tool, in a very Dumbledore like manner.

The fact that he could have what he wanted (Ginny) in the process would not have gone astray in his decision making, either (we're talking about a young male here, who most likely felt he deserved a reward for all the shite he'd gone through - hypocrictical, but very human). I loved the little "revenge" Hermione managed to wreak on him, and the fact that it wasn't a lasting horrible one, as he and Ginny eventually benefited from it in the end - but it still gave me a giggle, and a little air punch and victory dance on Hermione's behalf.

You kept Lucius the bigoted, conniving, arrogant, incredibly sexy, ultimate survivor, self-serving bastard that he is, and didn't turn him into a besotted fool, even when in love - and for that, both Hermione and I thank you!

His breakdown of grief didn't detract either - it would be quite an understandable reaction for someone holding such firm beliefs, and I didn't see Hermione's reaction and worry for him as any sort of weakness on her part, either - she would have fully understood, if not agreed with, his reasons, and, being a compassionate person, and caring for him and their future life together, would have been quite understandably concerned, and supportive of his recovery.

I liked that he still had small twinges of loss, but, being Lucius, had fallen down what he initially considered the sewer, only to come up smelling of roses.... and being quite arrogantly proud of the fact.

Are you getting the niggling feeling I may have enjoyed this very much?...... Good!

I noticed your comment about Harry and while I like him, you have to admit he has not been a very good friend in this particular story. First he gives Hermione to Lucius in spite of her feelings about it while he takes care of himself by marrying the person he loves and then he takes it out on her because he can't live up to what his wife wishes he was in bed. I am loving Lucius more and think it is cute how he tries to be so big and bad and he is just as insecure as the next person. I am also loving Hermione so much more than earlier in the story...much more herself. Excellent chapter! p

Well I kind of hate to see her be the one that has to take the crap. He is the experienced and older person of the two. Also when it is clearly him that keeps it up for 30 seconds, she should see through that and know that no one is going to think she cannot do it. She could preface her talk with Ginny by reminding her that she was a virgin and so "does not know what to expect" from a man. p

Poor Hermione. She does not understand that she could have him performing much better if she simply asked one of the other wives (where he could hear it) if sex was always so unsatisfying since she had only one frame of reference. His pride would have changed his behavior ;).

Hermione is supposed to be smarter than this. She should spend the five minutes required for LM to perform and the rest of the time, be out with friends. She doesn't have to have sex with them, but she doesn't have to sit around there until she gets as old as he is either. p

With friends like Harry, who needs enemies? It would have been a little different if he had to marry Pansy or some other Death Eater wanna be. I am not sure that I would speak to him in the forseeable future. p

I'm sure that you will answer this, but are they also making the Weasleys divorce? Now that would be interesting although I suspect that it was not across the board. Looks interesting and this couple is a favorite of mine. p

Another wonderful story by an amazing author....congrats!! I read this tonight and have to say, I'm not sure what I liked better, the the sweet way he continued to wear the torque even after the night was over, the incredibly diverse sex or the amazingly, endearingly adorable way he refused too bow to his pride and just admit how he'd fallen head over heals in love with his wife. They are so incredibly right for each other. I'm slowly making my way through your library of stories and can't wait to read the next!!!!
