I enjoyed this chapter very much! I cannot help but feel sorry for Harry...Draco did just tell people that their love for one another was a mere side-effect of their sharing of the scar. And Harry of course feels betrayed by everybody...as usual...such an angsty boy! I did like to see everyone rally together to fight for Harry. Shows exactly what kind of man he is to command such loyalty...even if he come soff at first as unappreciative of it ;) thanks for updating hunny!

    P.S.

LOVED LUNA'S APPEARANCE! she was my first choice for Harry..in the books..other than that its draco all the way!

Ch. 49 I haven't read any of the HP books except the first one so some of the allusions here escape me. The identities of Rita Skeeter and Dolores Umbridge remain ciphers, filled in only by your references to them here. Therefore I've no clue why Umbridge hates Harry so much; guess I'll have to read the books for that.

But the tension in this scene is gripping and believable from beginning to end. I didn't think Harry could be called to the stand since his "love affair" with Draco is irrelevant to the very real threat that Maul poses. But it looked dicey there for a moment. Thanks for ending this on such a cliffhanger.

As for your question about Father Alt... Well, I thought it was strange for him to take comfort from Draco merely because Draco can't really be seen as the comforting sort. I think of people like Ron Weasley's mother in those roles. However, I can see where they would feel a strange kinship. In their way, they both have demons to fight.

Cat makes a good point. Cruent was killed after Draco was infected with Maul, wasn't he? Maybe I'm forgetting that. When stories run on this long, crucial points from earlier chapters will elude my memory.

I thank you for your kind words! I sooo need chapter 50! Harry's friends were stalling for Draco but what did he find? Will Draco finally get Delores out of Harry's hair? That woman drives me nuts! Too bad the Centaurs didn't finish what they started!

Ch. 48 Exorcism? Ho boy, that makes me uneasy on so many levels. Even if Draco chooses to fight, demons have a way of picking up and exploiting people's fears and insecurities--something Draco can relate to. Father Alt has been out of the game for such a long time; that's bound to make him shaky. It's odd for him to take comfort from someone like Draco. Let's hope that it helps.

I think it's rather shabby of Draco to think of Harry's refusal to see him as cowardice. After the accusation from the Ministry, Harry may have decided it's better for him to stay away from Draco for now. Why fuel that fire?

Another great chapter. The birthday present was a nice touch. I love their dynamic in this story. It's much more interesting to keep them separate and let them both handle their more pressing business instead of having them jump each other's bones every other chapter. That's a pet peeve of mine.

Can't wait to see the results of Draco's evil plan. I knew he couldn't be so passive for much longer.

Not being that coherent. It's late, but I wanted you to know how much I enjoyed the chapter. As always, I am anxiously awaiting the next installment.
