Reviews for Memoirs of a Serpent's Son

I did agree that an update on Voldermort's action can spice up things - esp. with Harry's temper. But with such tension and stress and negative feelings, a proper talk/explosion is indeed needed. But who will break down first?

However, what done is done, the only thing that they can do is to plan forward and be proactive than reaction...they should kidnap Wormtail sooner than later, they should check what Snape is doing, they also should strengthen their magical abilities in preparation for fight and others...actually there are many thing that they can do, and there are 4 - maybe they should split their works then.

Maybe Draco is just too lonely, with only Harry to talk to, and with such swiftly changed attitudes, he is under too much guessing and stresses and desparation...he can be a danger - who will find it out? Remus?

No appologies necessary. As always I love your story.

Poor Draco walking in on Ron and Hermonie. Nightmares for years to come.

Now not being able to get the address to home makes sense. Only Peter can give it to him. Not a good thing. So how do you get Peter to give it to him? Actually how do you find Peter?

About time the guys finially hooked up. Some kissing and touching and more touching. Gotta love it.

Okay...that cleared things up a bit about Horcruxes.

I'm having a bad feeling about this...well, I had this feeling even before I read your story. When I read the 5th and 6th book of the series, there was this gnawing feeling that J.K. Rowling would make Harry a Horcrux...

I know. The idea is terrible. But I just had this feeling...

It was also pointed out in the prophecy in the 5th book that "Neither can live while the other survives." I just thought, maybe the key to kill Voldemort permanently is to kill Harry as well...

    Oh damn...happy thoughts, happy thoughts...

I was just wondering, are you also operating on the same line? Will you make Harry a Horcrux? Something just clicked when you pointed out in your story a detail in the 2nd book, that Harry stabbed the diary after he was healed, deeming that he didn't offer something important or precious to destroy it. What if Harry was able to do it because he holds a piece of Voldemort's soul? In the likes of Voldemort, a very powerful sorcerer, I think he is the only one who knows how to kill his own self.

    Wow...I hope that makes sense.

Damn, I hope what I'm thinking is false...and I also hope that J.K. Rowling is not thinking of the same idea I was thinking. If my suspicions are correct and I read this in the 7th book, I would really cry for days...even weeks! *shudder* Oh, I just hope my suspicions are unfound.

    ***

Wow...Gryffindors do have a knack for sending mixed signals. Hehehe! And it seems that Draco doesn't get it (maybe because he's a Slytherin).

Keep it up! I SO love your story!

PS: By the way, I hope you have already cooked up something "special" for Draco. Can't wait!

I think you covered it well, and trust me, you'll be much happier fixing it than letting it ride. Whenever someone points out an error or something bad I've done, it gnaws at me until I fix it. It's impossible not to when you care so much about something you work on. I was almost hoping you were going to say Tom Riddle was still out there and then there'd be some hawt Tom/Harry/Draco action, but that's me, I'm a sicko. Excellent chapter once again! This story is so fun to read.

Well...I don't understand why you said this chapter is kind of ... going back? But hey, there is progress, there is angst, there is snogging and kissing and some acceptance from others! Actually the two are just so different, it is really difficult for them to not argue, to cuddle together and to be nice to each other - definitely not something Drarry! They would always be argument, scarcism, retorting, fighting, smirking, kissing and touching! And ...the slow acceptance of Harry is understandable - he has limited experience in relationship and girls - actually now he has made a foot jump - to another gender, touches and hand jobs!!! (I am confused - why am I trying to convince this is a good chapter?)

But as you said, this is much needed, a kind of interlude. If it is necessary to make out Godric Hollow, soul destruction and others, more detail planning and information are indeed needed. And these make the story more exciting, though more complicated and difficult to write - so in order to enlighten you - I give you cookies!

Lastly, Draco's reaction is just too interesting - he is trying desparately to find his own standing, meaning and importance from Harry (and others)...he sure will get frustrated, though he may change, still he is a spoiled Malfoy child, he is not used to wait!

Loved it. I loved the kissing part. I really liked when Harry kept wanting Draco to kiss him to make sure. Also glad that Harry didn't freak out and take off again. Can't wait for the next chapter.

what a shock to poor draco. now he still has family after getting used to not having one. i understand their reasoning for doing thins the way they had.

    loved the howler though.

now if they could just fit draco in more to their plans, he is trying and doing very well.

I agree with Draco's statement: Potter here IS the master...no...the god of mixed signals! I also liked the howler part. It was really funny. I was imagining how it would play out when I read it.

By the way, did you put the howler part because it is meant to be "the calm before the storm"? Or did you just throw it there for some comic relief?

Anyway, it was a brilliant idea that Draco and Harry shares a connection through their being an orphan. It shows how only Harry can understand Draco the best when it comes to losing someone important in an unexpected and tragic circumstance. Tonks still lives, and there are things that only part of your family can understand, but it is still different to know that the person you trust has been through what you're going through - in this case, losing your own parents without your knowledge.

...Obviously, this connection will lead to a deeper kind of relationship. Well, it will definitely help with settling their differences anyway, since now they are, more or less, equal. Both orphans, both not purebloods (since Draco gave it up), and both not knowing (as cheesy as it sounds) the power of love.

Anyway, great job with the chapter...although I must admit it was definitely shorter than the previous ones. Hope you would update soon!
