Chapter 11: Hermione is very strong to manage to eat because she knows her friends want her to. She has a loving heart and it's a shame she had to lose her parents as she did.

I wonder how Ron felt knowing Hermione was going home with Severus. (I wish I could go home with him...)

A Muggle nightgown pushing Snape's 'envelope'. Maybe it will find a way to cradle, squeeze, fondle and lick his 'envelope' too. Ooooh, sexy just like Beauty and the Beast, my favorite fairy tale. Actually I wish Disney would have made their cartoon feature more like your story. Hot stuff!

Well, crud. I should have paid more attention to the chapter title. (Okay, this reader can laugh a little now that the pain is receding.) Damn that Dark Lord - he's got the timing of a teenage girl's father turning on the front porch light at just the wrong moment.

I do hope Severus isn't damaged too badly when Voldie gets through with him. I want him capable of a lot more than merely holding hands with bandaged fingers when he returns.

An exciting, but teasing chapter. Cruel, just cruel.

Chapter 10: Poor Hermione, standing there accepting the commiserations of her parents' friends and co-workers when she is so cut up inside herself. No wonder she collapsed.

I guess her dreams are leading her in the same direction that Severus' waking thoughts are going. I'm hoping those two paths merge at some point when she's not so desperately unhappy and in shock.

It's very thoughtful of Molly to try to get some food into Hermione, making all her favorite dishes. I hope Molly's idea works. A nice transitional chapter moving our two main characters forward. I worry a bit about Ron's reaction when he discovers Hermione isn't really his any more.

Chapter 9: I'm thinking that Ron's automatic silencing spell on his room the night Hermione was mourning her parents indicates his unreadiness for an adult relationship - he's still too self-centered and immature, which only time can change, not the deaths of his girlfriend's parents. Sad, but he's not grown up enough to be a match for Hermione, no matter how much he wants to erase his poor behavior and be there for her now.

It's comforting for Hermione to see how Snape identifies with her anguish. Obviously he wants more, but he's right to not push his interests on her at her most vulnerable.

So I guess we'll have a lot of Muggle-dressed magic people at the funeral all sporting black clothes. With Harry to help the Weasleys and Hermione to help Snape (if he even needs it) they should all be indistinguishable from the Muggles.

Snape needs to be careful that Voldie doesn't see him 'courting' Hermione, unless Snape can come up with some reason why he should be doing it for the Dark Lord's glory. Snape's already a Halfblood, so it wouldn't make much difference to Voldemort if Snape got entangled with the Muggleborn witch. A child of hers and Snape's would combine some heavy duty 'smart genes' and that might even be attractive to Voldemort. It would be shivery if Hermione realized that she was being coldly stalked for her brain by Voldemort and know any false move on her part could mean death for Snape.

I think Snape needs to brew up some strong rat poison and drop some in Voldie's tea. But I guess the horcruxes would shield the Dark Lord. Pooh!

Great update. I am looking forward to some romancing on Severus's part towards Hermione so they can move on and be together.

Chapters 1-8: I'm so sorry for Hermione who has lost her parents so horrifically. It's too bad Ron got so fired up over Hermione and Severus, and he should have given her a chance to talk, but he really wasn't so far off the mark, was he? He loved her and it might have been that feeling that allowed him to 'see' more than the others.

At least Harry and Ginny are doing well, even if it's all done in secrecy.

Hermione is ensconced in Snape's home, but that's just playing with fire. They're already sharing kisses. What more will happen? And when will Snape be called back to serve Voldemort? Scary stuff ahead, I bet.

Let me know when you have another chapter, please.

    (You have two chapter sixes.)

I am wondering exactly what is going on with Severus. I know the obvious but what is he healing from and what will have with Severus and Hermione.

Ron is such a jerk and needs to leave Hermione alone and let Severus help her and himself heal together.

    Hi Alabaster,
unfortunatly I'm not Barbara, but I am also a great fan of your story. As my native language isn't English I hope that you will simply oversee
my spelling mistakes.I love your idea that Severus is somehow acting out of his normally sneaky character and that he even doesn't understand why he is giving in to pure intuition towards Hermione.I also do not understand how JKR (my excuses to this great author)could bring Hermione and Ron together. In my eyes he's a great git and below Hermione's intellectual standarts.I hope that my review helped you to save your day and I thing that like myself, there are many readers that hesitate to review, because they are only "cowards".I'll try to review on a more regular basis.I wonder what Hermione will do in Snape's Monor, how their relationship will evolute and if the Dark Lord will know about their connection???You're a great writer....LOL Sureves Epans
