Reviews for A Year's Temptation

I forgot to add (I do that a lot:P) that I was glad to see near the end the evidence that Harry is thinking more of what is right for him and what would truly make him happy, than of the correct and self-sacrificing thing that he 'should' do. After so many years of giving of himself to do what's best for others, he needs to start thinking of himself. And if Ginny's petty and just cruel ("He'd suffer but he wouldn't die, so it's fine :D") letter is what it took to really push him into doing that, then yay for Ginny.

Ohh I'm so glad to see the bond between Harry and Ginny is getting weaker, while the bond between Harry and Draco is getting stronger :D Can't wait for more!

You know my first immediate thought at the beginning of this chapter after reading the first paragraph is that maybe Ginny should marry Ralph and just leave Harry in peace. But that was my bitchy side kicking in a bit before I calmed it down:) But anyways into the review, please excuse my bouncing around.

I liked this chapter. It felt like a turning point for Harry. Personally, I agree. He probably wouldn't say he's screwed up, but people who are screwed up never do. But I think that little game he was playing with the wizard who's trying to kill him is indicative of some kind of issues. But I'm glad Draco knows now. He can help him, I think he already has. I think that in that conversation with Harry, he pretty much said what I've been thinking all along. 'But I don

I was so excited to see this update...yay!!! I hope Harry continues to go to Draco. Although, this wouldn't be a harry/draco fic. if he didn't, right? They seem so close now. I can't wait for the next update.

    Hi:
This is my first time reviewing this story. I had read it before but I didn't know how I felt about the whole triad of relationships. On the one hand I could see Ginny's pov and why she was justified. On the other Draco's. I think this chapter changed a lot of what I felt. AT first I liked Ginny and I still do because technically Harry was her husband. However, I think this story deals a lot with the theme of sacrifice and compassion. Ginny started with what she thought was a strong marriage, however, a marriage cannot be built on the happiness of only one. Harry sacrifices too much of himself for the happiness of others as was seen on the beginning chapters. But now we can see more of an equilibrium developing between Draco and Harry. I like that, not too say that Draco has completely changed. He's still a git but now he thinks about the feelings of his future partner. I also like how every character that has tried to manipulate a person in the name of love is getting it ^^. It is very easy to confuse love with selfishness.

Maa, maa...I've wanted to read this for quite sometime now, but I kept forgetting; I'm glad I finally did though. I love it! I really like how Draco and the Veela seem to be merging. I seriously cannot wait to see what Draco has in store for Pansy, and because you said that he won't kill her, I say bring on the public humiliation, she deserves it.

I think Ginny was justified in leaving Harry (even if its just temporary), it wasn't doing her or Harry any good, and it just put a strain on their relationship. I think Harry's idea of having the pensive only helped for a little while, but after that it only seemed to fuel her anger because she saw that Draco brought Harry to new heights of pleasure that she could never hope to achieve. *grins* I never imagined that I'd say something like that in all my life. Anyway...

I like the new kind and compassionate Draco; who doesn't just care about getting into Harry's pants, it

Definitely good! Harry finally admitted he needs someone, he needs touch and he needs comfort. Not in the way that he usually allows, but...totally knowing that he is loved. Maybe a neglected childhood, a burdened teenage time and the lost of best friends, mentor, godfather and all other he cares...place himself at a constant distance from others - but I would like Harry to know, accepting that he is weak, he is being loved and cherished is nothing similar to failure/weak...

BTW, Pansy received her punishment, but I must dare ask - has Draco advanced too much? Though Pansy chose to watch 'it' herself, but something so pure and intimate may just put some senses into her mind again...

BTW2 - Ginny should not place herself into a passive position, if she ever wants Harry back, she should fight for them, but never accepts a position of retreating! Waiting is not the best option during a war! Though I must admit - how come Harry's partner care so much about Ginny? Or Harry?

Lastly, if it is not Nott Jr., then it must be Nott Sr...somehow I feel Daphne/Ernie (? the one who constantly travel now) is involved in it - to gain the ultimate position of Minister of Magic!

I really like this story. I can't help but to feel for all involved. On one hand I hope that Harry and Ginny can make things work (and normally I am not a Harry/Ginny fan). On the other hand it seems as if Draco will be better for Harry. First Draco was his typical spolied self, but slowly it seems as if he has come to really care for Harry, and in the last chapter they were so very sweet together. ..

Oh and I want to add, Go Draco for that present. It's perfect for Harry, and it obviously involved a lot of thought and time and effort, and it a good way to show Harry that he has someone who feels he's worth it. He needs to feel and accept that he's worth some extra effort

Somehow I missed the update for June, so I guess I'll review both June and July at the same time.

    So June first:

My first thought at the end of the chapter is that Ginny just screwed her marriage, and in the end they're both probably better off. They seemed to have one of those marriages where your content but not truly happy, and a chance for greater happiness elsewhere would definitely put a huge damper on it. I'm glad that she left him, because in the end I think he'd be better off not married to her. The story doesn't really go into a lot of major detail about their marriage before this whole thing happened, but somehow it seems like he works harder at her happiness that she does at his and than he does at his own happiness. But then again, it seems like he does that for pretty much everybody, maybe that's the problem. He probably doesn't feel like he deserves to be truly happy.

And Pansy, blah. Out of all the people in the story, I really don't like her. I do feel that Ginny could have done better, either by completing accepting the situation or not. Though she has done that now, made a solid decision instead of waffling a bit. Though maybe I shouldn't talk, it's a difficult situation to be in and I'm sure she tried to do what she thought best. But Pansy is being vindictive and just plain nasty. And too self-assured, and quite stupid like Draco said. You don't push someone you know will likely not take well to it. Even if she could completely control the man, I don't know how she got the impression that she could control the 'beast', as you could call it. Especially when it's been pretty much established that only the mate can 'tame the beast':) She needed to accept it or not, but that attempt at blackmail and manipulation is just low.

    And now to July:

I think Harry starts to show how screwed up he is in this chapter. What he's doing with this 'enemy', it's like he has a death wish. And his reaction to Draco. I think it shows the potential that Draco has to heal him, I guess. He needs help, and as much as he's latching on to Ginny, she can't help him.

I was glad to see Draco working Pansy. Hopefully she'll get hers soon, and Draco and Harry will be at least free from that threat. He looks like he's on his way to having that worked out and then the most eminent threat will be this 'enemy', though he's definitely more of a threat threat than Pansy. I hope someone finds out soon, because this is just not going to turn out well if he doesn't get some help. No one person can handle everything on their own. You need people to help and support you, and you need to allow them to do so. I guess that's what Harry needs to learn, among other things. And this thing with Draco might give him the chance to see that it's okay to let someone else be in charge, it's okay to let someone else take care of you, it's okay to be vulnerable.

And now I've turned into an amateur psychologist. So I'll shut up now and end with, I love this story and I loved these chapters. And I hope that Harry is happy in the end. I hope they're all happy in the end (maybe minus Pansy, hee hee), but definitely Harry especially. I think I feel for him most in this whole thing. Turned in every direction, trying to make everyone happy in a situation where that is impossible, and completely forgetting about himself in all of it. I hope we'll get a happy ending.

Oh god. I love your characterization of everyone...especially Harry's. I can't wait to see how Draco manages to fool Pansy and maybe even let her tell him where the pictures are.

I loved this chapter. The book that Draco gave Harry made me want to cry, how sweet. The Veela is really taking good form. I read the author notes and thought two things:

    1. Does Pansy really have to live? (just kidding)
    2. I'm now going to have to pour over the books to figure out who the "mystery man" is.

Anyhow, just wanted to tell you that this story is incredible! Please update soon.
