Reviews for The Bid

Delicious! Absolutely delicious. You have captured canon Lucius to the life. I applaud your writing.

It's interesting, is it not, that the character, Lucius Malfoy, seems to be completely one way - dominant, selfish, full of chicanery and guile, using others easily for his own ends. His superficial lashings of charm used sparingly or profusely as he wishes.

Snape, on the other hand, is much more ambiguous as a character, likely because he is represented so in the movies and the books. You're never sure where his loyalities are. He thus becomes much more pliable as a fanfiction character. One could believe he's submissive and willing to be taken over by another. OR - he could be dominant and remote and equally as devious, playing his own game either overtly or as an under layer to an affected submissive role. Which I wonder is he in your story? I could believe either.

The only constants are that both men seem to be extremely intelligent, which is why they match each other so well in M/M stories. There is an eternal struggle between them that is addictive to them both (and to the readers...)

Thank you for the perfect one-shot. I enjoyed it immensely.
