My goodness, what a tremendous story!  I found it on some list of fabulous, yet abandoned, fics.  Nothing sadder than the story unfinished, but the existing chapters are sublime!

BAM! Wow, the chapter ended on a surprising note! I was wondering if their Texas lives would ever be re-integrated with their UK lives!

This is one of the most original SS/HG fics I've ever read. Your in-depth characterization of Snape and why he behaves as he does adds so many layers to an overlooked character in the Rowling novels. Please continue on. I'm waiting anxiously for the next chapter.

You should've seen the happy-dance I did when I saw there was another chapter up! Unfortunately, I was interrupted no less than three times while trying to read it. A pox on real life and all its demands, I say! Thanks for being awesome. Another chapter would be awesome-er. When you have the time, of course. And, by the way, the homemade alcohol--inspired! -TQW

Oh! I am SOOO glad you updated this story! I had lost who wrote it, what it was called, even what site I had read it on and was quite put out with myself! This is a work of pure genius, twisted and bent, yes, but genius nonetheless!

I hate when you do short chapters. But it was only a matter of time until they were found. At least Kingsley was along to even things out. (And is it just me, or did they not make the best possible choice when casting him for HP5? I mean, sure, tall black wizard, but it just doesn't work. Chiwetel Okafor might have been better. But I digress.)

I look forward with relish to your next chapter.

I dearly hope another update is coming up soon... I don't think I can live with the suspense, though the image of Draco crying whilst being hauled away by the "long arm of the law" is very entertaining, it can only sustain me for so long. ;)

You must have been reading my mind because I was just thinking how lovely an update on this very fic would be. And it didn't disappoint, but then it never does.

I don't know why I didn't comment on this story before, considering it's the best SS/HG I've ever read (Tyger!Tyger! is very close but I think SPT wins out because it has a more direct plot), and a very interesting story, period. That is to say, I'd read this story even if it had nothing to do with the Harry Potter universe.
I can hardly believe it has so few reviews when, as far as I can see, it's great in every possible way.
I can tell that you are very intelligent, but your writing isn't pretentious... it's just good. Your style is distinctive and interesting, you have a subtle sense of humor that works very well, and I am fairly amazed at how long your chapters while still being interesting and completely coherent... not to mention how seamlessly you blend the perspective of all the characters without making the reader feel disoriented.
You don't lay plot all out obviously either. There's a mystery in your writing that keeps us interested. Sometimes you don't tell us exactly what's happening, we have to read carefully to comprehend it fully.

As far as the characters go... again, just brilliant. Normally I hate Draco in anything. I feel like authors just drop them into their stories for the heck of it. I've actually quit reading stories that were otherwise fine, simply because Draco was running around in a large, unrealistic role. Somehow though, you work it out very well. Draco's part, paired with Millie's is perfect. Severus and Hermione alone in America would not nearly have been as interesting.
And Millie! She's... she's just so original. Her backstory blended beautifully with the Harry Potter universe. I feel like, generally, when authors try to come up with new magical scenarios it feels awkward and forced, but you (as is the general way with this story) work it out very well.

And Hermione and Severus? If you had explained their characters out of the blue to me, I would not have been behind this portrayal. An insecure, emotional, sexually inexperienced, Severus doting on a very experienced, emotionally stable Hermione? Not my usual cup of tea, but I have to say... it seems so obvious now that I've read this. Of course this is how they should be! This Severus is much more realistic than the controlling sex-god of other fanfiction! And why, really, should Hermione be such a blushing virgin? Your portrayal makes so much more sense that I can sort of not believe it.

And Severus being such a hard-core rock fan? Genius genius genius! Seemingly obvious, yet completely original.

Anyway, this is becoming very long winded but I just want, so much, for you to post a new chapter. I hope you will soon.
