Realistically awkward, a tad upsetting, and yes, plenty of sympathy for a young Mr. Snape being led by his one-eye snake by a rather scheming lioness. That does not mean I want Hermione to go easy on him! Not yet anyway ;)

Poor, poor Severus. Now he thinks the nightmare begins anew. I think that he will use his innate Slytherin tactics to win her back...He must prove to her, that he is capable of more than only to be harsh, cruel, rancorous etc. and that he has feelings for her. But this will be fun. The poor Ravenclaw boy...he has no idea, but I guess he will find out soon.
A little competition is always good but I do not hope that Hermione thinks that she can do almost everything with him, only to show him that he has done a mistake...that can backfire and I do hope, that history isn't repeating itself. My sweetheart Severus has suffered enough. Update soon. PLEASE!!!!!!

    history repeating itself?
oh no, that was exactly what I hoped would not happen. not that I believe you'll end the story with hermione and edgar being
a couple like lily and james were, but it's still something that hurts severus right now because he gets reminded of it, right?
cutting his food like he did and still waiting for her to forgive him aren't really good signs, aye ;)

a little competition would heat things up again for sure, but I really hope that severus doesn't get too hurt (again).
I think he suffered enough in all these years, so yeah... curious how you'll approach this further :)

I'm so glad you decided to work in the competition! Felt kind of bad for Snape, but I love that he's going to have to use the old Slytherin magic to get Hermione back. =D
Oodles of fun. Maybe some danger and life threatening moments would be very effective in bringing them back together.
But I'm just hoping, of course. You'll probably come up with some amazing method how to do that in a way that no one even dreamed of.
    Thanks for writing!

As someone said before me (so sorry I don't remember your name)It would be sad id Lily's sotory repeat again for snape... he deserves something better... a real chance... He was a bastard true.. he still is in more ways than one... but he could be kind to her.. and that's is all she needs.. (and love I'm afraid) Anyway... I think i've never seen competition for snape with someone who can stimulates Hermiones mind, and that's always is bonus, that he is so smart. I want to see how he fights :P

    should hermione forgive him?

    hm.

yes. why? because everyone makes mistakes and although he apologized lately, he apologized thoroughly.
I mean, hermione must know how much he opened up to her just now, talking about lily etc.
it must have been quite hard for him to be left there in the passage, not knowing whether she accepted
his apology now or not. I think he looks quite vulnerable now. not that hermione would talk to anyone
about what he had said, but still... if I was him, I'd feel very uncomfortable now.
and hermione turning into some kind of lily (in the way she treats him) would be quite horrible. :(

Should she forgive him? I think yes; she's reasonable. I think there might be some understanding. But he needs a good talking to--a real good talking to. My opinion, be it ever so humble.

is he worth it? given new information about his past - can she understand why he reacted and acted the way he did? with the understanding, is hermione able to reassess her perspectives - can she afford to be generous and forgive?

I have really enjoyed this story thus far. Thanks for getting new chapter up. I thought the apology was well handled. I do think Hermione is a compassionate individual and she should forgive him. I'm glad you didn't do it immediately, however I am anxious with anticpation to see how their romance would fold out without the vampirism. Please keep writing. I love your work.

If we want a happy end she sould forgive him, and we all want a happy end. But I think that shouldn't arrive easy. Maybe our favourite professor should suffer a little bit more, prouve to Hermione that he is really sorry.

That was a lovely chapter and I can understand that you found it difficult to write. I think it is always difficult when you want Snape to speak about his feelings. But it was good. For my part I would like to see that Hermione forgives him and I would like to see how Hermione teases him...very much. I think that that will make him mad. A bit Snape teasing is long overdue. *lol* I can't wait to see what you have in mind. Please...update soon!!!!!

Of course she should... XD... we all would forgive him.. BUT.. in a very hermione way... she is.. bossy... and that is apealling coming from her. What I'm trying to say, is that if she goes and throw herself in his arms (wac... that sounded so.. melodramatic) he will think, no he will KNOW FOR SURE, that he can do whatever he whants with her and if he does something wrong, he only have to "apologize"... again, again and again. Bah.. I'm just anoyingly romantic I know u_u... but.. I think that she should forgive him, but give him the chance of discovering a true relationship, and to know hermione, so he will inderstand that not all the womans are like lily, that not all the people want to use him. That being with hermione means having more that he gives. Of course.. in his very snape king of way... he always will be snarky and bla bla bla.... Maybe you didn't understand a word of what I'm saying.. but there you have it :P

Ok, so we all know Snapeykins is a right git at the best of times, but even right gits should have the right to a bit of happiness in their lives, yeah? I think Mione should forgive the poor dolt... lord knows, he probably strained something important making so many genuine apologies in one night. :)

Oh... and Ron so needs to a slap upside the head for being such a blasted prick. :)

At any rate, I'm quite a fan of your works, and I've faith you'll work everything out precisely the way you feel it should work out :) Best wishes!
