Ah ha! Freckled ass... that was priceless. And I apologize for the earlier misunderstanding, when I said "alternate Hermione", I meant this villainess we see here, not the Potion's Mistress. Anyway, I'm already enjoying this story, it's too late to turn back, I'm hooked. I feel bad for Snape, a lot of people assume virginity is only supposed to mean something for the girls, but it means quite a bit to the men taking it too. I just thought of it as an unfortunate bit of pain I had to go through before I got to the good stuff, but the boy thought it meant we were connected or something. I'm wondering why she obliviated Krum... is there more to that story? I'm guessing there's also more to her hatred of Snape, and her deception with Ron, unless she just likes to have the utmost control over her life and relationships. I doubt Sister Death will have much luck convincing Snape to leave her alone, I don't know if I'd forfeight eternal rest, but I'd be pretty damn pissed. Over the potion, though, more than the lies. The potion is what messed with his mind, that's what lead to his death. The other deceptions are unforgivable, but can be overlooked in lieu of the major crime he's suffered at her hand. Your right about the darkness of canon Hermione, though, she certainly did have a mean streak. In the beginning I favoured her as a character, as a kindred spirit. She appeared intelligent, well read, and was a muggleborn excited over this new world, anxious to learn all she could. I kinda lost my affection for her somewhere along the way; at one point I preferred Ron (a clown, breaking tension and saying the wrong thing.) and then I began liking the villains, although that might have something to do with Acciobrain. Actually, I never considered Snape much more than misunderstood, and probably a great teacher if you could forgo all the "hurt feelings" etc etc and focus on the information. Not until I found this amazing little thing called fan fiction, anyway, while looking for something to read on the internet. I think it was Hermione's self righteousness that turned me off, I can't stand that, though I'm seeing it here. (It helps make her a better villain! ^^) When someone's convinced they're right, and refuses to listen or consider other people's feeling or perspective. That is actively being ignorant, as far as I'm concerned, but it's the false sense of claim that just makes it too much to bear. Crap, I

Ron Weasley's freckled ass! What a way to bring in the new year. Dee is quite the Peeping Tom isn't she? I noticed she stayed for a tad longer then Snape. Tut, tut. Maybe Snape will notice her womanly curves and they'll spend their ever after singing duets amongst other things. Is is possible for them to shag? Are you really prepared to go there with Ruth... err, I mean Dee? Too funny.

Okay, so in response to your response, I totally get this. I mean, I've been following your story, and I've read everything you've written in this fandom (whether or not I've left reviews - sorry about that) but, too, I've been writing fic for a good long while (we won't discuss how long), and I've been in this fandom and in this ship on and off for years. Even though the characters themselves are incredibly complex and endlessly fascinating, lets face it: we shippers like to hone in on specific parts of their lives, namely the ones in which our heroes are fighting, angsting, making up, growing together and having sex. So it goes. Given what we like to hone in on, we really are exploring a vast number of the near infinite permutations available.

So, all of that to say, I totally get mixing it up, exploring completely different characterizations, and even doing dark and disturbed versions. Lord knows I've done the latter in the past. I suppose I just find it a little painful if i'm not already in the mood for it, if that makes sense. Because sometimes it feels cathartic, and other times not... Anyway, well done. Thanks for responding in such depth.

Better and better, Figg! (Though naturally it pains me that the characters are acting out something so dark...) The story is excellent. ::hugs:: Thanks for writing. We're all looking forward to Yuleride and the latest on Professor Granger.

An ominous spiel indeed, Miss Figg. No chance at love and unpleasant lemons. It was bad enough to watch Snape humiliated by an alternate version of Hermione, but to see what promises to be ruthless subjugation... I don't know if I can handle it. I'm not a masochist, or a sadist, I must admit. I still enjoy your stories very much, but it's the possessiveness that gets me going, not the pain. Seeing Snape desperate to have Hermione was arousing, but she snuffed that flame effectively by showing her cruelty. I like it rough, not angsty. Now I'm torn, should I continue to read what promises to be a fabulous story (it IS yours) or should I stop now to save myself the indignation I will feel and cringing I will do upon seeing Snape get his revenge...

I'm musing aloud... oh well, to much thought. I will read it, because I'm a hopeless fan, I just hope you compensate for this harsh fic with some sweeter moments in your others. Nothing sappy, just... sweeter than rape and humiliation. Ta!
