A kinky lemon? Surely you jest! lol Great update, so Lucius certainly made some progress. All except for one woman. Hopefully he'll get his chance at charming her as well. And if not, perhaps the gossip and opinions of the other women will be enough to sway her. And I'd be more than happy to cater Lucius. Quick question though.... Do you think he would prefer the duck foie gras or the goose? ;-)

ch 40 - oops... I hope he doesn't forget to tell Hermione about the stories he invented at the party! wasn't he supposed to be charming the ladies into telling him more about the blackmailer? have they actually met the blackmailer yet, without knowing it was him/her? thanks for the new chapter!!!

So Lucius deploys his tight pantaloons in the fight to win hearts and minds - they don't stand a chance! I liked the way his audience were silently captive throughout his speech - not so much as a question or a snort.

Not so much fun for Hermione though - never mind; all in a good cause.

Ah, now I remember wondering about the jade columns - I couldn't be sure if they were for something rude or something magical. Now I know! Goodness, I'm interested to see how they are going to be used...

This chapter was delightful. It was quite amusing to see both Lucius and Hermione's impacts on the other dinner guests. The wives were shunning Hermione because all their husbands were looking at her and the husbands were too distracted by Hermione and broomstick aerodynamics to notice the effect that Lucius was having on their wives, hehe. Typical.

I just love Lucius and his calculating display of his goods. The line about the women staying friendly with Hermione long enough to find out what sex was like with Lucius had me chuckling. So did the jade columns.

I'm not sure either party found much to work with in terms of uncovering the identity of the blackmailer. Then again, they're a little distracted right now and haven't discussed it - which is fine with me. Bring on the kink. I will be waiting with a glass of wine, hehe.

Your leaving it there??? Ah!!! Wicked woman!
Thanks for the heads up on the time line.
But will They confess their love for each other sooner, rather than later???

RE: title; is 'Lucius's charms' just one big innuendo? lol!

Hell Yeah! Of COURSE I've got the playwitch issue! I also found one that was VERY naughty (we're talking full frontal nudity) for both Sev and Lucius. *giggle*

Go Lucius! Its an era where a wife must obey her husband (like Hermione will bow to Lucius's wishes!) - and if the husbands like her, then the wifes will follow!

LOL! trousers! he he! And Lucius grinds the rumour mill.

Does the contraceptive spell exist in this time (though they've cast it)? With the ladies gossiping about sex, surely they'll put two and two together and see there's no little ones.

Ooooh, Lucius in his shirt isn't quite as good as the 'domesticated Lucius' that S_G put in my head (Lucius slaving over a few saucepans in nothing but a frilly apron). It would have been the image of the week if I didn't already have that in my head!

HA HA! Sex toys on the mantelpiece! lol! Its like reading a smut novel in front of your Gran, and she doesn't realise because the cover doesn't have a half-naked man on the front! If they're an inside joke, I wonder if anyone else knows? I can imagine one of the ladies mentioning the 'odd ornaments' and Hermione having to keep a straight face while she makes up some nonsense about their function!

Erm... "although at the moment his thick length was semi-relaxed, lying quietly up over his thigh. erm... how can it lay quietly? Does it make noise normally? You make it sound like an animal or something that squeaks or purrs or mews or something!

*groans* Those puns were awful, duckie!

Ooohh kink!!! I likes! Am looking forward to that.

Cock a la Lucius. Sounds delicious.

I've been wondering what the other husbands look like. These women are all falling over Lucius, so I imagine their hubbies to be middle-aged, stumpy & pot bellied. Perhaps a bit like Pettigrew or Fudge.

He's one smooth operator, our Lucius.

Hahaha Lucius Charms, it sounds like a breakfast cereal, like Lucky Charms.

So let me guess on your next story. Lucius and Hermione will go through the veil again, only this time into the far future. You can call it the Veil Chronicles. lol
I think having them step into an alternate universe would be cool too, like the episode from Star Trek -- Mirror Mirror. In this opposite side of the mirror, everyone who is good is evil and everyone who is evil is good. Imagine a world with a very evil Dumbledore and Harry, and Voldemort trying to save the Wizarding World. LOL
I know, I know, you don

Quite happily deviant, actually. I'm really enjoying Hermione's introduction to the kinkier side of things. Anyway, I love the Malfoy inside joke with the jade columns, and I like the work they both did at the dinner party. Of course those women hate Hermione, she's lovely, intelligent and is attached to Lucius. I'm surprised none of them were upset with her for talking to the husbands.

    Chapter 40:

The description of Hermione's shunning was quite effective. I can imagine the Lady's of the time would be quite hostile to Hermione for many reasons. One would be Lucius and the other is her outsider and unknown quantity status in their society. It was nice of the hostess to ensure Hermione had a companion, and nicer for Lucius to rescue her.

Oh and the scene between Lucius and the Ladies was just perfect. I could almost see all those biddies looking at him when the got a chance, wondering about their sex life. I do hope Lucius made his point clear, it doesn't seem like they had eyes for anything but his... Package.

Woo Hoo for the next chapter. Lucius is such a masterful lover, I'm sure Hermione will be beggin for more by the end of the chapter. I can't wait.

Your description of his display of his assets reminded me of something I read years ago of women of this era dampening the underskirt of their gowns to make them cling and therefore more revealing. The more the world changes the more it stays the same. I love the fact that I can't figure out who is the blackmailer...well done. Thanks for your good thoughts for my family and our forced "vacation" from Gustave. We only lost power and a very large limb from our oak tree. Looking forward to tartness soon.

Who in the world would want to skip a chapter of this brilliant story? Seriously, as far as Lucius is concerned, never skip the lemons!

I don't know how I fell so far behind updates, but it was quite nice reading three chapters at once, although it did stop at the most inconvenient time! So here we go, three reviews in one!

chapter 38 - I imagine those pureblooded wives would drive Hermione round the twist! I would think hardly any of them would be blessed with more than half a brain.

I loved the tender moment in the bath and thats part of what makes your story so ace - the intricate plot, the gorgeous lemons and the way they are slowly falling in love *sighs*

chapter 39 - he snores?! Is there such a thing as a sexy snore because I'm pretty sure Lucius would be the one to pull that off! As long as its not rattle-the-walls, deafening snores, I can deal with it! It's a good thing Lucius takes such good pride in his appearance - showtime in those pantaloons? Front row seat, please. Those women will never be able to focus on Lucius' face. I had a giggle at Lucius' excitement at picking Hermione's dress - you could almost say he was a touch camp but he's definitely too masculine to be thought of as that for long!

chapter 40 - Lucius can use those charms on me any day! Wow! Lucius is crafty - he's planted the seeds about the squibs in those ladies heads while distracting them with his 'charms' and it won't be long till the gossip spreads. Also, with Lucius having set the record straight with the husbands it will hopefully help clear Lucius and Hermione's names of blackmail.

I knew those witches wouldn't stand a chance, although they may hate Hermione more for being such a lucky woman because I would imagine their husbands would be lacking compared to the mighty Lucius! Now I'm torn - Lucius with tight pants or hanging free. Mmm, I might just have to go and think about that one!

I may just have a dirty mind but I had a giggle at Hermione discussing 'broomstick handling' with those wizards. It's a wonder Lucius never picked up on that!

Anyhoo, I know the next chapter is going to be good (mmm, lemony goodness!) and I can't wait to see where the plot goes next.

I know you wanted details on my visit with Lucius so instead of dropping little hints in my reviews, I am working on it as a story! Eeek! I have never felt confident enough to write Lucius before so I am taking my time with it. It seems weird to write it about me so I'm thinking of either coming up with a new character or tweaking the story slightly to star Hermione. I'm not sure yet but I have got the basic story down - blow by blow as you said! I will have to pluck up my courage and get it sorted.

Enough from me, roll on chapter 41 - new skills are always fun to learn.
