    Chapter 32

    Well...those were some lemons!

You had me laughing out loud with the Wizard of Oz misunderstandings...Ah Lucius is so cute when he's jealous.

ch 31 - uh-oh, someone is continuing to harm Squibs, and I wonder if Lucius' bank account has some automatic payments for such purposes.

btw, I scared myself today thinking of this story. If Lucius is his own g-grandpa, then Hermione - his wife - is his g-grandma! arhg!!!!

thanks for the new chapter. :=)

My cousin's wedding reception was a barn dance and hog roast in a barn at her parent's house on the top of the Yorkshire Moors! It was absolutely HILLARIOUS to watch people practicing as the lead singer of the folk band (who's an old friend of the family and looks like Gandalf! lol) give the instructions... it was great until just about everyone had drunk far too much (Groom's father, my uncle, is Master Brewer at Osset brewery, and he brought four barrels of whatever was being brewed at the time)... the lovely barn dance (one to celebrate couples that was very traditional) acutally turned into a two-ringed version of the OKAY-KOKIE! I've never laughed so much in my life! I couldn't do the dances and I was completely sober! I know how Hermione feels! lol!

Can I have the dress? And the rocks? My sixth form prom dress was fireengine red, and was actually a wedding dress! I'd quite happily be in her shoes, strange undergarments and pretty dress! At least diamonds match ANYTHING... good grief, some of those women don't have a clue! Anyone thinking Lady Catherine here? lol.

Have you ever read Anita Blake?... Lucius is sounding more and more like Jean-Claude; and Hermione more like Anita with arguing over clothes! lol!

    ClothesHORSE? ClothesWHORE, more like! lol.

Oooooh! Wands at ten paces! You know, I'd like to see that! It would do Hermione's self confidence a world of good! *puppydog eyes at LaBib*

Ah! The waltzes and the supper dance - if he hadn't already marked his terratory, then he just did with that! lol! Those young men don't stand a chance!

Oooh... get them a bit more loose-tongued with the bubbly and then get them talking! You think the other Slytherins would be onto something by now, wouldn't you? Lucius's tactics have been used for centuries, and yet they'll still eat, drink, be merry and spill their guts when questioned! lol! Ironic and highly amusing.

Erm... on the subject of lemons... there hasn't been a contraceptive charm; are we expecting the pitter patter of very little feet at some point? Though, it would be good for them to have a sqib baby - but with the combination of Lucius and Hermione (not to mention Hermione doesn't have millenia of inbreeding acting upon her reprodictive system and magic) I doubt it would happen. They could adopt a squib, I guess to show their support. Death in childbirth wasn't uncommon - and I guess even magical healing has to advance and thus be un-advanced in this time... just a thought.

    12/10

    Hey there,
today a review from the City of Vienna. I'm on holiday here and had some time to read your lawst two chapters and I am really happy because I had thought about something like that with the uncle. Keep it to a man to be mortally wounded when rejected by a woman.
However. Keep it up and I can't wait to see what'll happen next. (I know what happens next here: the "Naschmarkt" (big open air market here in Vienna) and the of to the Prater and a Heurigen (lots of wine this evening))

Cya and have fun writing on

    Chapter 31

No lemons but the plot has thickened! A spurned lover embittered by the rejection of his love. But who was receiving the loans? Are they the ones perpetuating the threats? Is this fortuitously dead uncle really dead? Could he have simply gone into hiding? Err...that seems a little unlikely at the moment...

    As always, you rock!

Well I truly enjoyed the chapter!! I love those kinds of dancing where you had to know steps, patterns, and etiquette. It reminds me of pride and prejudice

Very interesting, now we're getting somewhere. Who's sending the threats? Maybe it's The Veil. It's so bored of just standing there in the Department of Mysteries day in and day out, that it decided to spice life up a tad.

Perhaps not, but I've got no other suggestions. Either you've not been giving us enough clues or I'm so dense that I missed them.

    Another great chapter Labib.

P.S. Lucius signed my card for a little 'Dirty Dancing' after supper. I wonder who's got him for 'The Hustle'!!!

damn, as if he wasn't scrumptious enough already, the man can dance. yay! I think Lucius will need several dance cards to accommodate all the women who are drooling over him. Although, Hermione had plenty of admirers as well - aah, jealousy, nothing better to help reveal how our couple really feel about each other.

You are so descriptive with the clothes everyone wears, it just makes the story come alive. Some of those dresses - shocking. It makes me laugh cos you know they all think they are so gorgeous and then Hermione and Lucius come in and blow them all out of the water.

now, I wonder who has been spreading rumours about Lucius? I love how Hermione was so quick to defend him.

Hope there are one or two lemons next, I need something to cheer me up after that sad picture of Lucius in prison - he looks so bewildered. I know what he needs - a bit of loving! I'm at the head of the queue of volunteers!

Aha, so the Squibs are suffering because of a Malfoy thwarted in love! That is poignant and yet so very likely! Interesting...

You have to love a good Ball - and this is a very good Ball. Waltzes too - how scandalous! A pic of Hermione and Lucius in their finery would have been a wonderful appendix, but scarcely necessary, given the delicious detail you went into.

Country dancing is lots of fun - I'd love to go to a Ball like that (even without Lucius).

Fab chapter; I enjoyed that a lot!

    Hola!
Long time lurker, first time reviewer.

    A few things:
I'm enjoying this pairing a lot. I think I'm partial to Hermione as a heroine accompanied by a clever Slytherin- I'm all about Draco/Hermione and Snape/Hermione, but I think I'm now in love with Lucius/Hermione too. But I've always been obsessed with the Malfoys so this isn't completely new.

Great cliffhanger in chapter 31. Unlike some fanfics, I feel like this has a believable story and I really like where it's going. The Squibs play such a small role in the HP series but I think it's interesting to see what kind of role they could have in wizard society as a whole.

Also, you have excellent use of punctuation. You do know how much of a turn-off it is to be reading a steamy lemon then possessives and plurals are confused. It's sooo not sexy.

I don't know if you've seen this before but the ball reminded me of this picture:
