The title amused me. lol. This update made me smile.

Did anyone tell Lucius that you're supposed to carry your bride across the threshold, not into a back alley? Did he miss that lesson in life?

Flowers. I want flowers. I wonder if I'll get flowers when my baby comes to pick me up TOMORROW! Woooooooo! I wonder if dropping hints about flowers would work? *cheesy grin*

Is it the same bed after 200 years? I hope they have put a new mattress on it!

Naughty paintings on the wall? Was this relative an aging nymphomaniac? (Have you seen the producers?)

Oh? So the wizards aren't like the Romans? No advanced plumbing? I thought M. Manor might be a bit like a small version of a Roman bath house. They had underfloor furnaces heating the water and pipes taking the dirty water away. Its odd that M. Manor doesn't have plumbing! Poor clean freak Lucius.

Did the veil induce the son's death? Lucius's trail of thoughts has my head spinning!

When I imagine the Malfoy suite, I see the best room in a local hotel (and I never actually got to sleep in it, my future Mother-in-law let us in for a look when she and my baby's step-father stayed there after a party we went to). The hotel is all in burgandy and cream, and you go down a flight of 6 stairs to the room, and then the four poster (hung with red velvet and gold trimmings) was on a little plinth that had two steps to it. I wish that room was mine. Maybe we can re-create it?

*and where was I, other than at the Gomersal Lodge Hotel?*

Ah, the truth is out. Poor thing is nervous of the sexual paragon that is Lucius.

He hisses like a cat? lol.

    As usual, another brill chapter.

So uh....just how soon is soon? lol You tease.....but you know I love it! hehe Another wonderful update m'dear. I can't wait to see what happens next! Oh and for the record. I'm more than happy to be Hermione's "second", for lack of a better word. You see I only felt it right to offer my assistance, you know, the polite thing to do. lol

It seems Hermione may have caught on to Lucius' worry about his prowess. That is hilarious. The two complement it each other so well.

Hermione really needs a little boost in the confidence department. I hope Lucius will continue as he has with her. It's just sad thinking that the two men she was with destroyed her so thoroughly. Lucius seems to need Hermione to balance his more ruthless tendencies and give him something to strive for both emotionally and intellectually. Soon, you say. Very, or two or three more chapters?

Poor Lucius, no modern bathroom to suit his fastidious nature but he seems willing to work around it. Atlas is great by the way, small role though he has. I like that Lucius seems to become more interested in Hermione as the story goes on. It

    That was slightly unexpected.
BUT, did he do that just to get into her pants? Err.. well, dress. Or to secure that she wouldn't go away. Or is he finding himself just a tad bit too interested?
Or a combination of all the above.
    AAH PLEASE UPDATE.
This is the first WIP story I've read since I first started reading fanfics (4 years ago-ish) Soo.. pretty please update soon.
Wow, when I think about it, before I started reading your stories I didn't review, ever, and I never read WIP's. Damn, you're good.

Ooh, I was right. Anyway, that was a lovely wedding, and I really do like that Hermione changed obey to cherish. My husband keeps teasing me about obey, but it wasn't in our ceremony. Now I can look forward to their wedding night. Very nice.

How sweet and slightly deviant of Lucius to plan a wedding ceremony without Hermione's knowledge. I am understanding this new world Hermione and Lucius have been delivered to. Though I can't really tell if the events that are truly happening and will change history or it's just a illusion that they're part of. Keep writing!

I finally took a chance on this fic and I'm glad. Two of my favourite themes in one. Brilliant. I love how you appear to effortlessly weave the story. There is still a strong sense of mystery, so far, yet it makes believeable sense. I have enjoyed catching up over these past few days. I look forward to reading more as you have time. Bless!

Okay. I know I owe you like 25 reviews. I am so far behind! It's been a rough couple weeks. O_o

This is what I can give you now. The Veil as a giant, sentient time-turner...a very interesting concept, but one that kind of makes my head explode. If Lucius & Hermione have been somehow woven into this timeline...and are now married and will forseeably have to reproduce to carry on the Malfoy line...then are the Malfoys of the present ever truly Purebloods? It would be quite ironic if that was the case. And, will the two of them ever exist in their own time? If they succeed in changing history, too many things will change. So will they live out their years together in this time, never to see their own again (but content because they have each other?). A selfish part of me wants them to be recognized as saviors, especially Lucius - though if the New Wave Master never rose, people wouldn't know they'd been saved from everything. Argh! Time travel always confuses me, so these ideas may be completely out of left field. However, it would make a lot of sense in terms of why our heroes keep gaining knowledge and finding that the world is arranging itself for them. It's almost allowing them to write their own story, what with the many choices of where they come from (Canada, Jamaica, Barbados?).

More rumination about the Veil...I think you mentioned that perhaps the Ministry was built around IT, rather than IT being brought to the Ministry. I like this idea. Maybe it is some kind of core of magic and the Ministry was built there to protect it? Not that it evidently needs protecting. In reality, it might be there to protect wizardkind, which is what it is trying to do through Lucius and Hermione. They are both resisting it, but really, it's giving them everything they ever wanted. Lucius has a wife and all his power and prestige back (as well as a chance to protect his world from the encroachment of muggles), and Hermione has a husband, someone to reawaken her sexually, lots of mysteries and thinking to keep her busy, and a chance to erase a war or two and prevent prejudice against her own kind. I wonder, though, if at some point Veil will ask something of them that they don't want.

Of all the places Lucius could have taken her, I didn't expect it to be to a church to get married. I guess I'm dense this week and didn't catch on to that hint. Now all Hermione's objections really are dashed. I'm looking forward to some toe-curling smut in the next chapter or two.

As always, LaBib, excellent stuff. I'm going to try really hard to keep up and review every chapter, but I can't make any promises. Life is a bit shiteous right now. Know that your great storyline and your thoughtful reviews for HTC are helping me to cheer up and think coherently! :) Now if only I could apply such things to my schoolwork...ah well, we can't have everything!

Looking forward to the marriage bed and the (eventual) answers to all my questions. :)
