ch 18 - hmm, that's an interesting theory - that the Veil is protecting itself and the future of wizardkind by sending L&H back to fix things. she really was stepping on his nerves quite rudely, and I hope their evening shag (if it ever occurs) will mellow her out. ahem: will Lucius ever figure out who the real Malfoy heir is, or will that heir just show up one day? will they meet up with the Black family and other 'ancestors' of folks they know - ancient Longbottoms and Potters and Weasleys? thank you for the new chapter!! you always keep me guessing with what you're doing next.

Hermione's assessment of the Veil is interesting, and could have some serious repercussions in the future. And I'm surprised she's held out this long. I'd be all over Lucius by now.

Ok, i love the story so far and am enjoying how it develops. The only thing that's really sticking in my mind at the moment is the word "fanny" you use as, i assume, for but, arse, bum, buttocks etc. I'm from Ireland and the word fanny actually means to us female genitalia or vagina and you can very well imagine when you said save hermione and lucius' fanny....i found it decidedly odd and it wouldn't leave me alone. I'm really not bothered by it, it doesn't offend me, but as you are writing about British people an especially in the past, they wouldn't say that to mean but or arse etc. It's just a little thing but i just had to say it as it was annoying the hell out of me, especially since it's such a small thing. But other than that, can't wait for the next chapter!

Aw LaBib, I think a lot of my rant was due to the fact that Hermione messed up my chance to read some hot lemons. LOL
    So consequently, I felt I needed a retraction. :D
Besides, Hermione sounds like she is being more flexible now, agreeing to stay at the Manor, despite having such horrible memories of the place.

I loved their breakfast. In fact it almost made me hungry reading it and I can definitely relate, having been in the same situation a couple of times myself. Nothing like starving, then suddenly placed in front of an extravagant buffet. It

Aha, finally a plan and an inkling of what they might be doing there. Making the properties unplottable rather than killing off Muggles does seem a good way to go (but will there be any Wiltshire left for us when he's finished?)

Love the interlude in the ice cream parlour, and his continuing stalking pursuit of Hermione. Mmm, 'tonight but no longer'...an offer few could refuse.

Compelling and interesting chapter - they just keep getting drawn deeper and deeper into each other, and now they have a new scheme too.

Oh my, LaBib, the slow torture of thr readers ... delightful. Yes, I expect lots of practicing. Any true artist would hone their skill daily, and Lucius sees himself as an artist in the pleasures of the flesh, does he not?

He starts out quite comforting, rocking her gently, cradling her while she adjusts to her new environs, but, his snake raises its head to strike, complete with a party hat? ROFLMAO.

Typical man ... his stomach speaks louder than words. And, Hermione's relatively innocent affections lead him merrily down Lust Road. And, the food wins! This round anyway.

Please may I melt under Lucius tutelage? Oh my, the thought just warms this cold, wet, dreary day in witch's world. Even a vicarious lesson will save me fuel costs for my heating bill.

I am becoming more and more curious about who the Master is ... and I'm beginning to think we're not talking about a muggle here, but someone with a little more power behind them, someone who wants to reign supreme and has a huge chip on their shoulder regarding the magical world; a bitter, powerful person who feels they have a score to settle, who could pass for muggle, hmmmm, the possibilities?

Figures ol' lustful wants to live in the moment, but will eventually see the possibilities for his future progeny with a plan ... I like the idea of him leaving himself a note -- Dude, Tom Riddle - Voldemort - Don't go there! Just don't -- Yourself. (Don't ask, we're magical after all.)

Hermione's Pureblood inbred rant strikes true for me. I wonder how much Lucius will process. I'm getting a weird feeling of I'm my own grandpa ... Lucius is his own ancestor thanks to the time travel.

I'm worried about the whole conversation about the Veil in pubic. Something tells me there's an eavesdropper close by ...

Tonight, oh please tonight? Pretty please with whipped cream on top of chocolate ice?

Rocking is linked psychologically to stress and madness - you often find mentally ill patients rocking themselves to give comfort - and, alarmingly, I do the same before exams! I sit outside the room (waiting to go in) and rock from side to side with a completely blank mind, staring at the wall! I scared the you-know-what out of my mates doing that! lol.

    What's a lawn shirt?

I really do LOVE how his predatory-grrrness is having an internal battle with the protective-purrryness. Poor Hermione is too upset to notice.

Does Lucius realise this is also based on her feeling she owes him? Or is it that he does know and will take advantage of it? Or has his new nurturing nature taken over for the time being?

    Lucius giggles? *blink* really?

Hermione's back to thinking logically, a good start for her as it grounds her and makes her feel more in control of the situation. She's not as scared as she was.

When was the last time either of them had a decent meal? The mutton stew can't count - and before that with the sheep... those two are probably actually starving, not just using the figure of speech! Never mind, you answered later on.

Nobody knows WHAT the veil is - it could easily be a life form or something! Perhaps Sirius was brought into it by mistake in the department of mysteries - perhaps even then the veil wanted Lucius and Hermione! I know you don't like Black, but I wonder what happened to him?! He could lie and cheat just as well as Lucius!

Yep, Hermione's definitely back in logical mode - and what she's saying makes perfect sense. As does her knowledge of the time period. As a female, she doesn't have any say in things! And Lucius is definitely an ostrich!

Was there a prophesy about this? Though it probably got smashed the first time in the DoM.

I like the idea that the ministry was built around the veil - to protect it or to protect others from it. What a beautiful image.

When he imagined the wife and babies, he forgot about the nappies, being sick, sleepless nights... its not all win-win, silly Lucius!

drew her like McGonagall to plaid. HAHA! fantastic!

I can't review all of Hermione's little lecture, because I think I'm going to have to read it a few times over to get the gist of it - but her reasoning is flawless! Lucius is after securing his property, and hopefully he'd be a good Lord of the Manor Landlord to tenants who would need the space! Perhaps when he makes them unplotable he could make the land look like bogs or ponds or ditches - something that isn't any use to a muggle (unless you're an ecologist, and then all you want to do is preserve them).

The penis could probably be re-carved into an obelisk and sold, you'd just have to make it more pointy and smooth. A little water feature (excuse the pun) up the middle of it and flowing over the statue would look quite pretty. I like obelisk water features, marble looks so much prettier when wet. (and that just sounded WORSE, didn't it?). They could keep the throne for a few centuries and sell it to the Daily Mirror and it can be used at Posh + Becks wedding! lol!

Hermione crossed her arms under her breasts, distracting Lucius from the gravity of her question. gravity, pushed up boobs... good word use!

"Oh, kitten you need me, you really do." That line cracked me up. I think we all need a little Lucius, really. I liked the idea that Hermione had about he Veil. I think she's on to something. I like Lucius' response too. I can see where he might not be too keen on accepting orders from anyone at this point. As usual, you did a great job. I can't wait for more.

Once again another fabulous update m'dear. I must say that Hermione's theory is rather intriguing. Though I admit it makes me wonder about Sirius. If it were me, I'd test some of theories by looking for him, see if there's any trace of him.... And daytime? Oh honey, I'd do it in the daytime with the blinds up and the windows open if it meant I got to have Lucius. LOL I can't wait for more!!
