"...he quietly rocked her as they stood there." - a caring and concerned Lucius, a wonderful thing but not something he lets others see normally.

"Hermione burrowed her head deeper into Lucius' chest..." - all this affection and no lemons?? lol. - oh wait, she noticed him stirring against her... =)

i like that she is trying to be fair to his feelings and needs as well as her own. ok, the most important factor is him - and he had saved her and pledged to protect her...i wonder...the rest of the world (in the time they are in) consider them married...will they actually have to do so before proclaiming to love one another further down the road?

oh, thats rightm the house is from two hundred years before there time...and she suggests there are things lucius can discover along with her. will they find anything to help them return home?

i love lucius' arrogant boasting - it just makes me smile!

Hmmm...i have to admit to not thinking the way Hermione obviously has been. But its an intersting theory. i bet she's right...thats how smart she is.

    'Happy Harlot House' *snorts loudly*

If Hermione is right in her thinking, about the Veil using htem to change the way the future unfolds does this also mean that Voldemort will not come into existence, or will he be ineffectual?

As for my stories - You can see Stealing The Prize had chapter 6 added. ir eally don't thinkthere is much moe than 1 or 2 chapters left. as for Until You - once i get out the last part of Stealing The Prize I will go back to concentrating on that as well as my Draco/Hermione story Helping, Hurting, Healing.

So lemons next? And please bring Draco in....for me???? =)

Hey, this is really good, I'm enjoying it a lot. I'm definitely in suspense about whether or not they're ever going to be able to return to their own time and fix the problems there. Thanks for sharing this - I can't wait to read more!

ch 17 - thank you for the update! I'm actually not looking forward to the lemon - I'm more curious about how Lucius can be the 'real' Malfoy heir (his own g-g-grandpa), and if he's going to try to do anything to prevent the future damage to the Manor and his family. leave himself a note - 'Don't join any group called Death Eaters' and 'hide the jade columns before you go to Azkaban.' looking forward to the next, and glad that Lucius came after Hermione to snuggle with her in the hidey-hole!

Ah, where to begin . . . with the vermin, I think. That was hilarious. A sure way to convince Lucius that he had not considered the ramifications of utilizing the room at the Inn--vermin in his hair. LOL. The best line IMHO in this chapter contains the phrase: "artistry of the multi-faceted intimacy of good sex." This apparently is Lucius's definition of his skills in the bedroom. LOLOL. Now I am down to Lucius's personal problems: Apparently the brothels have a grapevine so he cannot go out of the neighborhood, if necessary, for an emergency rut. And, the magical difficulty of maintaining a glamour while having an orgasm. LOL. The final topper of the chapter is Lucius calling her the endearment "[d]earling" asking discretely for her full name and Hermione withholding it momentarily to make Lucius sweat. OMG. Those two are either going to hex each other or screw each other to death.

After thinking about it, I feel like I was rather harsh with Hermione in my review. So I am retracting some of my statement. After all, she has been through a lot and nothing is familiar to her in their new world. So seeing all those wonderful books probably made her feel like she had a little piece of home. So it's no wonder she would be so drawn to them

Yahoo! You updated! It always makes my day when I see a new chapter for this story.

I have to tell you though, someone needs to bonk Hermione over the head. What is she thinking reading a book, when she could be having a magical candlelit dinner with sexy Lucius Malfoy? Is she daft or something? I mean, I love reading too, but you can bet if I was having dinner with Lucius, preparing for a night of amazing sex, I would be tossing that book to the side and giving his adorableness my full attention.

Did he actually hear her apology, or was he stewing too much? I can see getting lost like that, I read at the table when I'm alone, and when my husband is home, I sometimes forget my manners about what not to do at the table. (He works long hours, and we don't often eat together, it is always a treat when we do). I like that he went after her and made her feel safe. The fall out from this is going to be big, isn't it? I still wonder about the true heir.

ah, i like lucius in this chapter. a bit arrogant but willing to bend for her. he certainly has come a long way since his death eater days. And it seems that Hermione is willing to admit she's interested in the possibility of sex with him. thats a verg big step forward. i am so intrigued by this story. i don't want to speculate too much on what might happen as i like to be surprised when the next chapter is posted. but i want to know if draco will pop up in this story, either in the past like they are now, or once they return (if they return) to present day. until next time.....happy writing!

I really do wonder how much our reviews change your plot from what it originally was! I guess the reviews are more like plot bunny snacks. lol.

Are we talking the library from beauty and the beast here? Though, if Hermione *insists* on improving the library for future generations (with all those "rare" books), Lucius will probably have to extend it. Though, the whole future generations thing probably hasn't hit her yet - seeing as she'd be the Mother of those future generations. I don't think that little snip of information hit her when she thought about buying books in the previous chapter!

Its so sad to learn that the 'future' Manor was recked. Yeah, the Malfoy's had money - but vandalism of their home is uncalled for. The vandals wouldn't take kindly to someone plundering their homes! It sounds reminiscent of a burglary that occured some years ago that was in the local papers. A young couple went into hospital so the woman could have her baby, her hubby stayed by her side all the time; when they got home it was empty - they'd left the carpets and fitted furniture. The thieves had even unscrewed the light bulbs from the fittings! Lucius's reminiscing reminded me of that article.

Its odd that in the stately homes that nothing changes, except the private rooms (such as bedrooms); the traditional just gets repaired as it wears out. My Mum used to work for a Museums, Libraries and Archives Council in accounts; but she went on courses to learn how to protect fabrics from damage, and how to clean them up when they got damaged. Most little museums (and in my opinion, the really interesting ones) are run by volunteers, and a lot don't realise that you can't put a 100 year old wedding dress in the washing machine! lol. The woman who ran the course had 4 of her own sheep, of a breed available commonly 200 years ago, so that any rugs and carpets she repaired could be repaired with the same wool as they were made from! She even did all the traditional dyes too. *and I've gone off on one heck of a tangent, and completely forgotten my original point! lol, /looks back up review window/ oh yeah, repair, rather than replace.*

I like the portraits having a good look and deciding he was one of them before ignoring him. Its as if they don't really care, as long as whoever stands in the library is Malfoy.

Though, it's scary that the blonde has carried through for so many generations. Blonde hair is a recessive allele, and you need two copies of it in the zygote's genotype; both parents have to have a copy of the same allele. But, unless both parents are homozygous recessive (ie. 2 blonde genes), it's not easy to get the desired result. If one parent was Malfoy through and through, and was bb (2 blonde genes), but another had brown hair, but carried the gene for blonde (Bb), that only gives a 50:50 chance of a blonde child. Is magic keeping these alleles going by giving them a nudge? Its the same for the Weasleys, red hair is another recessive (and rare) allele. I sat pondering this one day, I was bored in a genetics lecture.

Poor Lucius, playing second fiddle to a book. Though, she's probably got the sense to be reading about current magical culture and the do's and don'ts of pureblood society. If she's posing as his wife, she has to stand up to scrutiny.

Sometimes I'd gladly chose a book over my other half. Just as when he got his new car he spent three f*ing hours polishing it and messing with it. Seriously, I was stood at the door in a very skimpy towel and a seductive grin, and he turned around for a second and said 'hand me that duster, will you?'. I know exactly what Lucius is thinking; and how blooming mad he must be. Andy got the cold shoulder for a fortnight, but only noticed the second week after his car shone like a star and couldn't be more polished.

Doesn't he need to bump off the proper Malfoy dynasty of the time that are actually traveling from the Indies (was it the Indies)?

Hermione was tired, depressed and miserable and she missed Lucius already. Hermione quietly cried herself to sleep, rolled into as little a ball as she could manage. That sounds like a cry for help (and Prozac) if ever there was one. And all Lucius could do was get angry? Yeah, he's been used to the perfect little wife, but Hermione won't be moulded or shaped to his specificatioins, she's her own person - and that person is so frightened and confused at the moment. Lucius needs smacking upside the head for scaring her off like that.

Snuggly Lucius? Have I died and gone to heaven? *slilly grin*

97 rooms! I bet the house elves have a blooming field day there!

Lucius, would you WANT to move back to Azkaban, where you were tortured? No? Well, why in feck's name would Hermione want to move to live where she was tortured and almost killed? Dipstick.

Hermione's not daft, but is she being over cautious with him?

How many big blokes have turned around and said the baby line? I think its the typical hung like a horse comment. lol. It's in quite a few trashy romances. *groan*.

Ooooh, 12/10 sound good to you?

Lucius with 'the snugglies'. Too funny, yet kinda hot. Well, maybe not hot, but cute. Can Lucius be described as cute? It seems wrong somehow.
