This was such a thoughtful, well-considered story and I could see you improving as a writer as it went on. Your characterizations of Snape and Harry were actually deeper than JKRowlings' (well, to be fair, she was writing for little kids). The ending was sad but I felt like it kind of had to be sad. It was interesting that the big difference between the final canon here versus canon was that, in your story, Harry cast an Unforgivable to kill Voldemort, and in the book he only ever casts expelliarmus (sp?). I guess that fits with your 'darker and edgier' version of events. Anyway, great job, I will keep reading!

Aww... On the one hand, I've been looking forward to this day. On the other, I am sad to see this aspect of the journey ending. There are many, it seems, who would want a different ending. But I think of Stephan King and the Dark Tower at times like this.

"You are the grim, goal-oriented ones who will not believe that the joy is in the journey rather than the destination no matter how many times it has been proven to you. You are the unfortunate ones who still get the lovemaking confused with the paltry squirt that comes to end the lovemaking (the orgasm is, after all, God's way of telling us we've finished, at least for the time being, and should go to sleep.) You are the cruel ones who deny the Grey Havens, where tired characters go to rest. You say you want to know how it all comes out."

Don't get me wrong... I read to the end, past this point, and followed Roland into the Dark Tower. And I look forward to Snape's point of view, which I've been anxiously awaiting. And I await the epilogue, whether Snape is alive or dead.

    "Endings are heartless.
Ending is just another word for goodbye."
    ~Stephan King

You write beautifully, as ever, every moment of your story has gripped me, despite the fact that I didnt even like Snarry to start with. your story captured me with the pairing and made me read more of it, for that reason your story will always stick with me.
But I must admit I am a little disappointed with the end. I had been sure you would kill Snape, i waas kinda certain but hoped you'd prove me wrong. And I like the canon harry/ginny pairing but I really wished Snape and Harry could have been together after their ordeal. its your story and you can of course do what you will with it, and it will never take away from your amazing style and sense of meaning to every word. Maybe I can hope that one day you will write an alternate ending to which me and a few of the others would prefer, but until then I will continue to read your other works
Thank you for introducing me to Snarry.
    Ta ta For now :D

Sorry, but the sex scene with Ginny? If I had knew it would be Harry/Ginny I wouldn't have bothered to read. You can write really good but I'm just disappointed. I guess it's my own fault when I'm starting to read a WIP story.
    I miss the promised answers.

That was it? Now I'm really confused. Is Harry going to Ginny and live happily ever after with her now? Although he has so strong feelings about Snape (he was so anguished about his death? He seems to have stronger feelings for him)? What happened when Harry got caught? Why does he have no memories about capture? Why was he only a month in prison when he thought it was three month?

Beautiful action scenes there, and I love the way you've twisted the canon. This story is as brilliant as it always has been, but...

If he's dead, my heart is already going crunch. [/end drama]

Boo I had 2 more chapters to read. Then the site said it was hidden. So not fair. I enjoyed reading this story. Very well written. Love the interaction between Snape and Harry.

And I also enjoyed all the novels you used, because those are really great stories and you seem quite educated in literature and classics.

I have come across this story today and in one sitting, have read the entire 62 chapters. This is quite a brilliant story. I like how the relationship between Harry and Severus is actually how they should act if they were ever to be in this situation. I hate when authors demand that Harry should find Severus attractive, or that Severus is actually an attractive person (it takes away from his persona). I knew for a while that Snape was lieing to Harry. I thought it was stockholm syndrome but there is a small part of me that still believes in Severus. He is a very enigmatic person and I really do not know how this is going to turn out. For now, Severus plays the role as the villian but I think it was just too easy for Harry to find out Snape has been lieing to him, and he is actually the good guy. I highly doubt it but I cannot wait for the next chapter to come it. Amazing story.

Hiii! I just wanted to pop in, tell you you're doing a wonderful job!!!! This story is so real and amazing!!! I don't normally review, I suppose because I found this story a bzillion years ago, and then realized that there was more on your livejournal, so I've been keeping up to date with that. However, I realized that doesn't mean I can't review on here, so, Hi! Lol.
Seriously, though, this story is amazing. The fact that you can mold this entire relationship between these two in 50-plus chapters is amazing, especially when you see how rarely other characters barge in on our two lovely protagonists. It's the ultimate captor-captive relationship fic... they both have to rely on each other for social stimuli. I feel like your Snape is so very canon, too, I can't even praise you highly enough for how unbelievable he is. My absolute favorite stories are the ones that keep characters as close as possible to canon, while occassionally even adding a level of emotional depth, which you really have accomplished. Bravo!
And the smex.... Oh, how well you write it! You get Snape and Harry so embroiled in so many dirty deeds, without making us feel like it's really anything but completely amazing. Great use of magical tools, like potions, etc., as sex implements. That one should go without saying, but in your fic, the magical element in sex seems very real, and fits in with the world wonderfully. (I particularly liked your recent "Harry-as-potion-ingredient" scene you had going on in the Bunny Harry story, as well)!
Also, your grasp of the canon universe is so good, I honestly feel that it rivals Rowling's. If the point of her stories would have been Harry and Snape getting together, I feel like the plot would have unfolded exactly the same. Yes, you are that good! ;P
Anyways, this review has become too long, but I think your stories are amazing, you are a great writer, and I can't wait for the end of the fic, although I'm really, reallly nervous about how everything will shake down. I don't see how there can possibly be a happy ending, but... oh well. I'll leave that in your capable hands!
    P.S. Can't, can't, can't wait for the Snape-centric version!!!!!!!!
