How many trials can this child endure? Severus seems to believe that they are getting close to the end and I hope for their sake that it is true.
    Soooo. Is Snape

That's about all I can do at the minute.

    Bloody amazing, as usual.

I loved the massage scene. A beautifully written piece of Harry experiencing something peaceful about body contact with Severus. Can't wait for more.

I love this fic. It has taken me a week to read through it, since I just found it. I cannot wait for more. I would say that chapter 50 was not bad at all. I had read some things that were just horrible, but chp. 50 was not as harsh and painful as I had thought it would be after your little warning. I'm a little confused with this last chapter and snape...but I think I can see the picture almost. Keep up the great work.

I love it how you have kept them the way they are. I love Snivelly's grumpy-ness and big nose and I love that Harry still has his fight yet shimmer of insecurity. Hope to read the update soon.

Well! My dear lord! Lol I got instantly grabbed by this story and was compelled to read on, sat here for three consecutive nights reading it all and giving myself sore eyes just to catch up. And I'll tell you why this is such a feat - I don't even like Snape/Harry.
I sort of stumbled across it without meaning to and was instantly obsessed. So when you say "it might be boring in these chapters" or similar, let me assure you, if you can keep my attention, someone who doesnt even really like the pairing then this story has most certainly never been boring.
Your style is so amazing! Everything flows so beautifully and the characters are always developing naturally and react so 'humanly' to their situations. I really felt you could understand Snape so well in recent chapters and almost felt more sorry for him over Harry.
I hope that they can both get a happy ending but I fear that Snape is going to die, because of all this talk of sacrifice and their secret emotions. i just think this is your foreshading and that Snape is somehow going to become the martyr in order so save Harry in the end. I really really hope it wont, since I've read too many Drarry stories recently that end that way but as a fellow author I'll respect whatever choice you make because this is honestly one of the best stories I have ever read! Maybe I should wander onto more Snape/harry stories after this lol ^_^
Either way, please continue you as soon as you can. I'm all unsettled and anxious to find out what happens to the two of them lol
    Best Wishes!

I'm not sure what it means for me that I was not disturbed at all by chapter 50. However, I'm something of a sadist, if my subject is willing. I have also written far worse than what I just read. No criticism to you, so I hope I didn't offend. If you're curious as to what I refer to, please drop me a line. criticalcatalyst@yahoo.com. Make sure you put Goya Scene in the subject. And of course, if anyone else is interested. Beyond that, I keep looking at little hints of Snape. I found myself fully expecting Snape to come right back after the ordeal and do what he could to make it right for Harry. In truth, I think what really made it difficult was not the actions that Snape had gone through. I think it could have been easily endured, but again, I may have a different look at things. But Harry's perspective that he needed to be able to hate the act made it worse than it was. It wasn't bad because it was bad, it was bad because he wanted it to be bad. Thank you, Lucius Malfoy.

Chapter 51 I think brings all those little glimpses of Snape together, rather than anything else. He has always been what Harry needed. The Snape which dared Harry to take his own life also did not just say that he didn't want Harry to die, he said "I won't let you." Time and time again he's been gentle when Harry needed it, stern when he needed it, and insulting, perhaps not just when Harry may have needed it, but to keep Harry's image of himself constant. And much of it has seemed to be banter. I am curious as to Snape's response, however, when Harry starts talking about them having sex. Snape starts talking about large breasts, but there looked to be more to that comment.

Anyhow, you're ultimately the artist. ;) But I thought I would give this point of view so you know what's going through some heads. Well, mine, at least.

Wow I normally hate this type of story because I get attached to characters and feel their pain. But this story has been done so well every time I think I can't take anymore it changes and I keep going, the way you build the characters how we don't know if Snape is a bad guy or he's just trying to get his or if he actually cares for Harry is amazing. Also the detail you have put into it, especially the depiction of the psychological trauma, its not obvious and in your face all the time but its there in every page. Very realistic. I was wondering if you did research on torture, prison situations and its effect on people? (I noticed a few times you said you are trying to improve your writing and while I always thing its great to improve yourself it should be noted that I believe you are a very good writer. for what that

Wow. I just found this piece and have been reading all 51 chapters over the last few days. Chapter 51 actually made me cry with Harry's breakdown. At one point I was expecting Snape to hold Harry to his chest while he screams and cries it all out, but that would be too coddling of his character and he seems to have more respect for Harry's need for distance when he's upset.

I can't wait to see where this story ends up. Lucius is just so twisted. Are we going to see any more Draco interaction? I'm surprised he didn't do any taunting while there for his lesson, but then again he is just a wimp at heart as his torture session proved. Update soon because now I'm hooked.

Wonderful story, I have just read all 51 chapters back to back. I love how the reltionship between the two main characters is developing. Harry seems to have a strength to him and a belief in his convictions when he is around Severus or just when they are not 'fighting' yet loses sight of it all and is easily wrongfooted by the presence of others like Lucius. The scene where he was reduced to nothing by Lucius was quite heartbreaking. The last chapter (51) does define the Professors character, he has such a complex, multi-faceted persona yet you write him with such clarity. I look forward to further chapters and further development of Harry and Severus' relationship.
