And once again I am on the edge of my seat!

I thought you would keep Hermione's revelation for another chapter - what a mean cliffie. So, Lucius and Draco are coming to terms with the past and Kingsley is far, far from being a saint.

I am anxiously awaiting the course that the blackmail will take. I am just glad only Harry knows. Ron would not have been able to handle the information or his reaction to it.

    Brilliant chapter!

Ooh, how very clever and twisty of you! That girl - what a shrew. She deserves what she got. I wonder - will Harry just go to her and ask her straight out? Then she could "out" Edgecombe and send her to Azkaban for extortion. Or Harry could Obliviate her and ransack her office. Either way, I'm sure it'll be an adventure. Thanks for the update!

This was a great chapter. I look forward to reading more. I think that Harry should talk to Hermione about the results that Marietta gave him. Then Hermione can give the counterjinx so that Marietta can back off, but I think that Hermione should then go to Kingsley and get Marietta terminated. However she needs to make sure that the relationship between her and Lucius remains a secret. Maybe someone could obliviate Marietta.

    Chapter 25:
Ron seriously needs to get over himself. He was a lousy boyfriend to Hermione (at least in my opinion. He always seemed to put his Auror training ahead of everything else) and the fact that he was mad she was in another man's arms. What a weasel! I was dancing a figurative jig when Hermione dumped the ignorant fool.

Yea! Lucius is free! And Shacklebolt is still the world's biggest arse. I galls me that he thought by eradicating Hermione's DNA evidence it would somehow level the playing field, or even the score for the atrocities he let happen while he was an Auror. It just shows what an idiot he really is. *shakes fist at stupid Minister*

Draco is treading a fine line. He's so close to learning the horrific news (and I'm not talking about discovering who authored Faim.) But at least he's making an effort at some sort of emotional healing with his dad. I think the cleansing they will do on the manor will, at least on some level, cleanse them as well.

Ooo! Marietta, that sneaky little witch! I want to wring her sorry neck. All for the want of a counter jinx. If she had any brains what so ever, she could have figure out the counter jinx herself. I mean really, it's been AGES since the DA was formed. I say she got what she deserved. I don't care if the cow is scarred for life. She deserves the moniker 'SNEAK' tattooed on her forehead. Ratting them out to Umbridge was the coward's way out of a sticky situation.

There was so much going on in this chapter. Looking forward to part 2 of it.

    Thanks,
    MHS

This may seem completely off the wall, but despite my adoration for your main characters, I am over the moon happy about you utilising Marietta so well. Good for her and good for you. Despite her despicableness, I love it. I love that she's getting her own back. Yay, she has a spine and a brain. Fan effing tastic. I can't seem to get past that enough to adequately praise the other aspects of the story. Though I am very happy how well Harry seems to be taking the news so far. I love that you say they have grown up and matured, and then you stick to it. No public tantrums, etc. Love you love you love you.

OH,yay! Now we get to see the real juicy bits of Hermione's life come to play. I'm surprised that Marietta waited as long as she did to exact her revenge.

The scene between Lucius and Shacklebolt was wholly unsatisfying. I really wanted our anti-hero to hex him. It was terrible what he did to Lucius, as bad as anything Lucius could have done being a Death Eater. I also wonder when Draco will piece things together. Not long, I"m sure.

Great job. I look forward to the next chapter.

This is the most original Lucius/Hermione story I have read! Simply amazing in its details and twists. I love every word and look forward to more. Wow! I can't believe I missed this all this time...

Bloody buggerin' hell...I just started reading this and I. Could. Not. Stop!

I've been reading fanfic (HP mostly but started reading Pirates of the Caribbean [Barbossa centered] in 2007) since 2003 and I've read hundreds of fics of varying degrees of quality and this is by far one of. THE. BEST! I have ever read.

I'm very much looking forward to the next chapter and I hope you update very soon but I understand quite well how Real Life changes lanes and gets in front of us and we're boxed in on the highway. And it doesn't help that Real Life drives 30 in the 60 lane.

    Until chapter 25!

omg...i had a bit of a panic attack when narcissa was getting close to lucius! glad that it was more of a bff thing and not a rekindled romance! i'm glad that narcissa has more of a human aspect now, she seemed so frigid and cold when draco asked about the healer! gosh...from the description of faim and how the characters are responding..i wish it were a real book that i could hop on out and get it! and ooo....kingsley makes me want to pull my hair out! he's just to frustrating! i hope dear old lucius does get a one up in him! something quite clever i hope!

loved the CCU idea :) i told me roommate and he just rolled his eyes and walked away :) i think he's contemplating using that excuse though! i am definitely on edge for the next chapter!

Wow. What an intense chapter. The issue with Narcissa and the healer was a surprise. Kudos to Lucius for not giving in to her seduction! I think it's funny that Ron was the one to find Hermione's knickers. Oh, the irony! So Lucius will be free, but will they still run the DNA and find out who they belong to? I hope not, for Hermione's sake. Harry will be pissed for sure, but I think Ron's head just might explode! LOL!
